The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from frequent delivery delays, inadequate customer support, and challenges with returns. Many customers report frustration with unresponsive service representatives and convoluted processes for refunds and account issues. While some positive feedback highlights the convenience and product availability, the overarching sentiment reveals a decline in service quality and reliability. Customers express concerns about counterfeit products and a perceived lack of accountability, suggesting a pressing need for the company to enhance its customer service approach and improve operational efficiency to restore trust.

Overall a good company that has its flaws as any but seems to have the online purchasing system down and I've been ordering for years and they have a 95% success rate! Would recommend!
I used to totally rely on Amazon because of great customer service. I even had the prime so that I could get my orders in 2 days. The first thing I did was cut out Prime after my orders continuously came late and when I asked them about it they told me it wasn't that it would be delivered in two days from order it was delivered in two days from the time they ship it! I continue to order from it but I'm going to start looking at ordering from other sites because now I am finding that when orders need revised payments they're not even sending out notices. It's not until my items are very late that I go in and check and find out there is a revision payment needed. And sometimes it will actually say both that it has been shipped and there is a payment revision needed. When I call customer service they seem as confused as I am. But there's never any particular resolution. This company has just become very unreliable. Of the four items I ordered for Christmas two of them will not be here even close to on time although I ordered them almost 15 days before Christmas.
Extremely disappointed in Amazon, (ordering process was fine/speedy) but the joy of online shopping with Amazon ended there! I used to order from Amazon frequently, until this incident. I ordered a decent size ticket item, no problem ordering it (NO indicator online that the item was out of stock or anything) and its been just about a month & I still have yet to receive it. I phoned Amazon customer service 3 times already - this last time, they finally escalated my issue to their escalation team (it's about time) but that is it & get this...I have to wait another 6 days for the escalation team to figure out what went wrong and where my item is. Customer service informed me that I could cancel my initial item and reorder it (but why would I do that? Amazon already charged me for it & get this...if I cancel the original order, it takes them 5 to 7 days to refund me my money). Can you believe that...5 to 7 business days for a refund. Why Amazon, why? You buy something at a brick and mortar store & bring it back, you get your money back right away. I am not paying for the same item twice without having my initial refund, in-hand. Why would I - you can't even get it right the first time around. (@amazon: last 4 digits of order #2617)
I was locked out of my account on 122/20 2023 for no reason. I called customer service and spoke with Noor who was able to unlock my account without too much difficulty after asking a series of questions. No problem then going in and placing an order. Signed out and did nothing else with the account. Tried to log in to the account the next day and again my account was locked out. None of the customer service individuals I spoke with could tell me why my account was locked out. They asked to provide three items I recently purchased which I did from memory because I don't keep the receipts after I receive the items. They were lucky I remembered the items. They then asked me to give them one of the five items I had put on my saved list. I told them I had absolutely no idea. They said that the information provided was not good enough and they would not unlock the account. I spoke to a supervisor who could not look at the account and could do nothing stating I needed to call back into customer service. So, obviously, this was just someone they put on the line to try and placate me and was not a supervisor. He stated he did not have the tools to correct the situation. A supervisor who works in IT and customer service does not have the tools to handle a customer complaint is a laughable situation. If Amazon wants to get back with me and make this right on my account where there have never been any fraud or nefarious issues with my account we can speak if they are willing to resolve this issue. If not then I will never order from Amazon again as I did with Ebay when they tried to force me to put a bank account number on my account. Up to you Amazon to fix this situation or lose a customer for good!
I have ordered an item and paid in Amazon during their promotion period.
As a prime member have get better price on the product. But it has been more than a month the product is not delivered. It seems like Amazon giving fake offers and cheating costumers
I've had great service when ordering stuff from Amazon and in the past I've had no issue with their Customer Service but that was when I was able to talk to someone I could understand, that is someone that spoke clear English. Now it's like the same Asian guy whom I can barely understand. This last summer they activated a 2FA security measure I didn't use and ever since I've been unable to access my account because I don't have my old phone. You used to be able to fall back on your email to verify and re-access your account. Now you have to answer verbal security Qs and the guy enters As that you have little control over (meaning you don't know what he's entering) into their computer system and the last 4 or 5 times it's failed for me. The last time he said my account was no longer accessible. I've been so frustrated and am just pissed now. I've had the account for years.
Suppose I create a new account and something happens to my phone again? Anything can happen. You never know.Nevertheless, here I am still unable to access my acct.
Purchased dress for my granddaughter.
Too small
Returned by USPS
I have forwarded all pertinent information showing tracking information and delivery of dress back to the retailer.
3 months... still no refund...
Love buying goods from Amazon. Can always find them at a good price. And the free Amazon gift cards I earn help
I filed a complaint against Amazon for their excessive collection of my private personal information and for withholding over $800 in refunds. They are demanding a government-issued photo ID, driver's license, or passport before releasing my refund. I reviewed Amazon's latest Privacy and Information Collection Policy dated August 2023, and I found it to be an intrusive and excessive collection of data. They exchange and share data with third-party groups without any details on restrictions to their use, including financial information, addresses, contacts, internet service provider, IP address, login, email address, password, location of my device or computer, product searches, purchase history, content interaction information, and much more. This invasion of my privacy has gone beyond reason. The type of personal data collected by Amazon is beyond what government agencies like the IRS and Social Security Administration do. Amazon's demand for a photo ID to verify my identity is absurd, considering they justify their collection methods and type of data collection to prevent fraud and for verification purposes by following select internet and social interactions. Amazon has been collecting my personal information since 2010 when I made my first purchase on their platform. They have a full purchase history for this same timeframe. My shipping and billing addresses and the card/bank used in this purchase have been the same for the past three years. Therefore, I find their demand for further verification for returning my money to the same bank payment was made from to be unreasonable. I returned the items to Amazon four weeks ago, and they refunded a portion ($19) of the purchase several days after they refused to refund the $801. They threatened to keep my money if I did not provide them with a photo ID. This is an online retail service, not an in-person point of sale. The refund should go directly back to the bank the initial payment was made from. Amazon has not sent any notifications of changes and modifications to Policies as other companies courteously do, like PayPal, eBay, REI, Walmart, etc., with a list of the changes being made 30 days in advance. Their demands are abusive and intrusive into my personal information.
I made several attempts to accommodate but they remained obstinate threatening to keep my money. Will end all association with them and go back to regular online shopping without the convenience of one-stop shopping, won't be lazy any more;)
I was purchasing many items from Amazon recently.I was a Prime member and then i decided not to be one.I had received a box of microwave popcorn that was heavily damaged on the inside.I contacted customer service and was treated like dirt by a representative. The amount of the item was under $2.00 but I was hassled about getting a refund. It would have gone back to a gift card balance. The nasty rep I encountered was on a chat.I called Amazon to complain.Amazon(in my opinion)has gone downhill. The items offered are not great-especially the clothing.Everything is made of polyester-in China.Think twice before dealing with Amazon.Thumbs down to the customer service provided by foreigners overseas.
I am so tired of Amazon deleting all of the reviews I write. Most of them are positive, all are honest, based on my experience with the products and sellers. Yet, for some reason Amazon feels the need to delete them all saying I've gone against the company's community standards. I've read them again and again, I've violated no standards. What's the point of asking me to review products (literally emailing and asking) to block me from doing so or to delete them outright? This policy really needs some work.
My first time ordering from Amazon, it went well. The shipping was free which is always great, haha! Got my toothbrush and also a couple of toothbrush head replacements. It was on Black Friday sale so I got it with a nice discount. Satisfied.
Buy here and regret it. Used to be a reliable company, but now deliveries are hot or miss and they never tell you that the prodcut won't be delivered on time until after you have wasted all day waiting for it to be delivered. Then when you call customer service, they can't tell you where the product is or when or if it will ever be delivered. They also use ridiculous excuses like the waether slowed delivery when its sunnsy and 50 degrees outside. They should rename the compnay Scamazon.
Earning points was so easy and cashing in was even easier. I will continue doing surveys and submitting receipts for points
Made one large purchase of several items, Amazon breaks it down in multiple orders which is very confusing and done this way to add extra fees I believe, than one order gets cancelled for whatever reason and I'm stuck waiting on a refund, can't just resend item have to go through the whole process of reordering and repaying, I will never use this company again!
I received a package and the box had offensive writing on it, using the Lord's name. Amazon needs to consider all customers when advertising!
Not only do some Amazon vendors charge more for their products while promoting "free shipping" (i.e., Hoka Shoes costing $225+ on Amazon, versus $180 on Hoka.com with free shipping!), the delivery process, especially from international vendors (who do not warehouse in the US) is NOT prime as it may take a month for the product to arrive! "Free," and "Prime" are seriously misrepresented on Amazon.
I live in an apartment complex which has an Amazon locker for deliveries. The Amazon deliverer logs the package into the locker and the apartment complex's mail system so that residents know they have a package to pickup. I got a pair of headphones that were delivered and that Amazon confirmed the delivery. The problem? The deliverer didn't log it into the apartment complex's system, meaning they have no record of it. I spent over a week trying to figure out what happened, but nothing came of it so I had to go through the "did not receive" process.
At first, I was told they'd send me a new package for free and that no further charges would apply. A day later, I was told I'd have to return the original package in 3 months or they'd charge me again. No one could tell me why I had to pay for it twice, why I was told I wouldn't be charged again, or where the original had ended up. I was told to return a package I didn't have and that it didn't matter that my apartment complex had no record of receiving the original package. I've been dealing with this mess for over 3 weeks.
Today someone from the apartment complex next to mine, so an entirely different apartment business not associated with mine, stopped by with the original package. Apparently, they'd been out of town for a few weeks and that's why they'd only just found my package. I'm grateful that this person returned it to me.
TL;DR: Amazon delivered my package to a different apartment complex, took no responsibility for their mistake despite confirmation that it wasn't delivered to my apartment complex, and will change their mind on charging you for their mistakes. No accountability, no respect, no consistency, no interest in providing even basic customer service.
Order placed 30 Nov, promised 6 Dec. No show.
Was not even shipped until 5 Dec.
This is how non-prime customers are treated.
I never joined Prime because if you don't but still select free shipping, it would only take a day or two longer.
I placed an order 11 days ago and only received 3 of the 12 items I ordered were delivered 8 days after ordering. The other 9 are due for delivery in 2 days or 13 days after I placed my order.
Seems they're in the business of forcing people to pay for Prime or it'll take 2 weeks to receive your items. They're so big now, their only interest is to screw people over.
Amazon makes shopping convenient and easy and it saves you money. You find/buy virtually anything on Amazon from car parts to food. I've found that prices are typically lower than any other site or store.
Save items to your wish list if you aren't ready to purchase and go back to it later and when you do purchase, it takes only seconds. Most items can be shipped for free under certain circumstances.
If there's ever a problem and you need to return something Amazon customer service is always there ready to assist.
Whenever I'm looking for something be it, something I use on a regular basis or a hard to find item, Amazon is my first stop. I may look at other sites to compare prices but I always end up back at Amazon.
Amazon is second to none!

Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
