I order from Amazon frequently as I have Prime. It's very convenient to have items shipped to my house. You do have to check out prices from other sites but generally their prices are good. They do have sales at times on the items I order.
Occasionally their packaging for items are not good but customer service is great if you have a problem with damaged products.
They even deliver 40 pounds of cat litter which is cheaper than the pet stores.

I just put 4 because free ship is extremely slow sometimes and got some cancelled items after the order being placed abd then rised the price. So no merchant should be able to do so. But other than that you can get really good deals.

So far Amazon.com resolved all of my issues I had so far to my full satisfaction (there were about 5 in the many years I've been ordering from this site). The prices are usually the cheapest but sometimes I would recommend to go to the seller's site directly to get lower prices and to use promo codes you can't apply on Amazon.com. In all, my go-to site for almost all my errands.

I am a U.S. citizen that is retired and living in Mexico. Amazon has a site here amazon.com.mx but it is really bad. The prices are sky-high as compared to the U.S. site and many things are listed as not available/out-of-stock.
The thing is I have frequent family visits so I buy things on the U.S. site and have stuff brought down. Their international shipping rates aren't bad either if I need something "now" but quite a few things they won't ship to Mexico.
The one thing that pisses me off is I have to use my family's credit cards as my credit cards are Mexican and are in pesos. Amazon gives very unfair exchange rates when they convert from U.S. dollars to Mexican pesos.
Having said all that, they have everything, their prices are good, their Website is very well designed and easy to use, they are nice people in my experience and have excellent Support. I didn't rate them perfect because of the exchange rate issue, but they really are a good company to work with.
Love amazon. With the wish list feature, you will never be disappointed at gift giving time. With amazon prime, there are so many bennies. Tv shows, music and more. Not to mention the shipping options!

I've had an Amazon account since its early days, when they used to sell mostly books. Their service was always A+ (secure transaction and packing, fast shipping), but the international shipping costs were always terribly high. Buying from resellers was an option, but shipping would still cost me up to ten times more than the product.
Huge selection of products, many times cheaper that other sites, offer prime 2 day shipping with membership. Their return policy needs work tho-should not have to pay for return shipping when the item you get is of poor quality.
Also has paid for reviews. And reviews given by people that can't spell, have poor grammar, and some just make no sense.
I have been using Amazon upwards of three years now.My experience with them has been great.The shipping is fast, and any problems are quickly resolved. I have a few issues though I would like to see changed. I would like to see the "true price"right up front.In that I mean the price of the item and the shipping together up front, instead of going through the checkout to get the total cost. This will sometimes send me over my budget, as I dont know the shipping cost until later. There are many items that are "add on items"that cant be bought exept under certain conditions, and they are usually the better items and the brands that you want. I would like to see these items offered to everyone.And lastly, I would love to see some "specials" for loyal customers who are not Prime members. Maybe coupons or promo codes such as 30% off your next order, etc. I hope Amazon sees this, I would love for them to think about these issues! Overall though, this is a really good site and I would recommend shopping with them anytime.

Amazon.com is a great website. I'm a buyer and seller. I've ordered many different things from the site (from phone cases and high end juicers to backpacks and snake bedding) and it's amazing but, I can't complain about anything I've received.
The prices are great (I've never paid for shipping), it's fast (especially if you have Prime), and like I've said, I can't complain about anything I've ever received. It's all good quality stuff and works and looks as advertised.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
