I went to the local AT&T store in Midland Park with my dead iPhone and assuming I would need to get a new phone and, of course, pay more per month (isn't that what always happens?). Surprise! Store Manager Alex K. Cleaned a wad of lint out of the charging port and lo and behold the phone came to life when he plugged it back in. He could easily have run up a new sale and make the usual commission. But, he is an incredibly honest fellow and was more interested in helping us than making a commission. Kudos Alex! And thanks. We definitely will be back to upgrade in the near future and highly recommend this AT&T Store and Alex in particular.
Beware of this company. They are not secure in anyway on their MyATT app. Mine got hacked and a double payment was made. One being authorized and another not. They will make you pay for their mistake. They will not correct it either. Their customer service is pathetic. They don't care about their customers they didn't through Covid either. I received a letter in the mail about my information being compromised and that they believed no personal information was stolen but explain to me how an unauthorized payment was made. Done go to T-Mobile for service they are by far AMAZING
It so frustrating to get help with AT&T support. Besides, the long wait for the representative to answer, I was bounce bounce back and forth between departments many times. Worst disconnected between transfers. And if the transfer is successful, there's no continuity of the call. I have to explain it again. I spent about 5 hours to find out what happened to my trade in. After frustrating call waiting, drop connection, multiple transfers, I finally able to get hold to a supervisor but instead of helping me, he lied about it. He told me that my phone was damaged, has no value, thus was donated. I know right away it's a lie, because my trade in phone is in good condition, thus, I invested further. I called another agent again and finally for some reason, she is competent and able to give me information. First, she told me that there's no notes or report that my phone is damaged and was donated. The supervisor I spoke earlier is outright lied. Second, they received my trade in but the box is empty. She able to give me some tracking number to follow up. I have the receipt from Usps that I mailed my trade in Jan 19,2023. I called Usps and told me that an AT&T mailing agent Pitney bowes picked up my trade in the next day Jan 20. Per tracking, AT&T received and process the trade in, April 26,2023, after more than 3 months, very unusual. To make it short, my trade in was loss and AT&T can't help out.
After many years at At&t, time to leave!

During transfer of my account to Verizon (due to AT&T's poor service), there was poor communication by AT&T, resulting in my account being shuttled back and forth between the two companies. AT&T did not maintain my current calling plan during this process (an obvious and basic expectation), so I was charged $368 in fees that should not have been charged, and my account was sent to collections before I could even reach AT&T.
MY ADVICE - AVOID THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY
Tip for consumers:
Avoid AT&T

I owed ATT $38.00 past due NOT EVEN ONE MONTH. They SUSPENDED MY SERVICE WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME - AND I MISSED A MEDICAL TELE APPOINTMENT! I have had service with ATT for two years. Did they really have to suspend my service over $38 when I had made a payment arrangement?
ATT is the absolute worst cell service company. They don't care about people and they are deceptive. They should be banned.

They steal my old phone and that is it one advice don't ever trade your old phone!

I purchased AT&T phone and internet service in May of 2022. I was promised a bill of approximately $129 per month. Immediately they sent a bill for $149/month. After repeatedly going back to the AT&T store several times, I wound up paying $140 per month - after paperless billing. Also, they promised me a $300 gift card for signing up. They did not mention that it had to be "claimed" by me within 120 days. I never received the card. Life happens and I forgot about it for a while. My GF reminded me about it the other day (April 2023). I called to ask why I had not received it and was then told that I could no longer claim it since it was past 120 days. I was promised that $300, but not told about this 120 day bull$#*!. Now they will not honor their promise to me.
I have cell service issues where I didn't have them before(dead zones). The internet is not any faster, and periodically runs slow, or is out all together.
I am especially dissatisfied over their promising a $300 reward for signing on, and I do not recomend their services to anyone.

If you have att uverse and qualify for the lifeline discount and arent getting it from att it is because they are lying to you. Other VOIP providers offer this discount. ATT just wants to make more money. You will also need to review your bill each month as they tend to overbill to see if they can get away with it. They try and shuffle you from csr to csr so that you will give up and leave them alone. I have spent hours on hold and being shuffled around while I was a customer. Same thing with their wireless division if you use a prepaid service you will only get about 40% of the time you pay for and that is intentional. You can file a complaint with the FCC and FTC against them and it will help and get action from ATT I do advise doing this when you have a problem with them. Currently they are under investigation by the FCC and the Department of Justice Civile rights Division for their practices I advise staying away from them if possible
Tip for consumers:
website is hard to navigate (done on purpose) customer service is horrible. they overbill on purpose and take advantage of the disabled and pooorest customers. Stay away if at all possible

Unhelpful and very rude customer services. Won't help you out if needing payment arrangements for a day after the bill is due, got service's suspended and now wants me to pay for last month and the new month IN ITS ENTIRETY. I tried paying for the past month but since it was a day over THEY CANT BYPASS IT. I CALL BULL$#*!. I've never had any issues with sprint or Verizon like this $#*!ty $#*! company. Obviously only cares about money than their signature customers. IM SWITCHING ASAP. My customer rep was ONTERO. NO HELP WHATSOEVER.

I live in rural Regency Estates Subdivision in Terry Mississippi and for years AT&T has delivered 6 Mbps best effort download speed which means WE NEVER GET 6 Mbps. I have made several attempts to reach out to AT&T as a reprehensive of my subdivision. We have over 100 homes in our area and when I did reach a rep I was told by that AT&T rep, after he finished laughing, that AT&T has no intention of upgrading our area to a faster download speed. I think it is bad business that AT&T has a 100% customer rate in our area because we have no other choice. We are paying good money for a speed that cannot stream movies, games or music. We are trapped and stuck with a carrier who cares nothing about keeping its customers current with technology. This is just over dial up. We are all looking at Hughes net and dropping AT&T. We will discuss this over the next 2 meetings. Doesn't look good for AT&T in this area.

I had an AT&T phone when I was a kid, and I have to say that I like Apple much better. The annoying things about the phone include the low battery life, and the inaccessibility to the Internet. Don't buy an AT&T phone, but an iPhone instead.

My internet has been down since before the 23rd of December. I kept checking the site and the outage map to see when it would be back up. Kept getting a lot of false "it's fixed"/"no outage" on the att outage map. Finally called on Christmas after getting fed up of the site not at least Acknowledging that there was still an outage. Got an outsourced customer service rep that I could barely understand, told them I KNOW it's still out, and asked for some sort of timeframe for when it's going to be fixed. They asked me to restart my router, and I told them I already reset it 10 times that day to check if the internet was still out. I got put on hold, and told yes, there IS still an outage in my area, and it will be fixed in 24 hrs!... it's still down and all I really want at this point is a reason WHY?. Did ice take out a line? Did a squirrel kamikaze a transformer? Is everyone on strike? I have to start work from home next week, and this might get me in hot water! WTH AT&T? They've got their hands out when the bill is due, but I doubt I'll get any compensation for not being able to use my internet or subscription services for the past week. Also been seeing others post about customer service just straight up hanging up on them, so I may be forced to switch providers sooner than later. It's too bad. The internet worked well, WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY ON!

Frankly, I have become highly disappointed with AT&T as of late. I traded my iPhone XS for 2 iPhone 11 Pros about three years ago. I was told that my credit would be applied toward future bills; however, that was not the case. I sent my iPhone XS in with the return label that was sent to me with my new iPhone. Upon activating my new iPhone, I packaged up the XS, slapped that return label on the box, and had it mailed out within the week. It was only today that I realized that they said it was sent to the wrong department, which caused a 90-day delay because it was lost in their system, but who do they try to blame? You guessed it, me. AT&T stole a device from me and never upheld their end of the agreement. I could have sold that device for 900 at the time. Now they are trying to back peddle and give me a 300-dollar credit which I denied, but they still applied it anyways to cover their butt. The only remedy I want now is a 900-dollar credit or an iPhone XS because they never upheld their end. As it turns out, this is too big of an ask for a loyal AT&T customer whos been with the company for over a decade. At this point, I am left with little option other than never to use their service again. I am incredibly disappointed with their service.

August 18th I activated a J1 SIM card with the carrier AT&T. After a month I wasn't able to receive or send messages or phone calls. So I went to the AT&T store and they told me my phone number wasn't associated to my name anymore. So I had to buy a new SIM card with a new phone number from another carrier. But I found out that I'm still paying for my old SIM card and the AT&T assistant told me that they're unable to block my contract because it's registered under another name.
I'm afraid this could be fraud, what can I do? In this case would I get a refund? I have been trying for 2 weeks to talk to someone in Billing and I have spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service and at no point was my issue ever resolved. I am really disappointed.
