I used to recommend capital one to friends but recently they have tried taking money from me. Started with a dispute that was made 3 months ago and they're charging me for it now.
Also charged me a late fee on my credit card that i have had for 2 years and never missed a payment but they gave the money back after me paying for it and charged me $25 when they took money out my account! Wouldnt bank with these people again
I was charged $108 for interest even though I paid the full balance on time. I called customer service and talked to 5 different people. They all gave different reasons why the interest was charged. And refused to change the fee.
No security for customers against scam companies. Capital One will protect companies and the customer will be on the hook for the fraudulent charge. Lousy customer service and the dispute process is from the 1960s where they ask you to fax documents instead of uploading them onto a website like other banks
Budget car rental charged my capital one credit card for gas when I had a receipt to prove that I had brought the car back with more gas than it left with. Long story short capital one allowed them to put false charges on my card and did nothing about it.
We called customer service to set up a pin. They didn't get straight to the point. We were losing time and they hanged up on us. "Called back when you feel better" first of all we just need help and they didn't. They stay silence after we ask a simple question.
Overall I'm very satisfied with Capital one quicksilver credit card. I keep my balance at zero majority of the time. However, I recently had a truck repair I paid off in installments within a month. My last payment of 200.00 I paid a few days ago. It was the ONLY balance on my account at time I made my payment. Two days later I get an email saying I owe 4.63 and it's due ony normal due date which is the 5th of every month when I have a balance. I had just paid 200.00 a few days ago, WHY do I have to pay 4.63 in 3 weeks when I just made a payment? A issue I have with Capital one and WHY I do my best to keep zero balance
These fricken clowns! Worst service ever. Even Wendy's beats these imbeciles. I submit payment on Aug 6th. Email says 10 days. Card doesn't get activated by them until the 12. Then I hear 6 b days from the 12!? Wth is going on!? Plus no contact no word nothing! I would get this card. If you seriously want your credit to get trashed get this card. Clowns!
I have been a credit card holder with capital one since 1994. I have never had to file a dispute. My credit is in the mid 800's. I have recently had a need to file a complaint against a business that charged my card $2559. 27 without our consent and also a false charge. My experience with capital one was beyond disturbing. I have since March been trying to dispute this. I have spoke with about 10 supervisors. Each call took at least an hour. Each supervisor said I had a case and it would be taken care of. Capital one continuously credited and charged my card the wrong amount that I disputed. Sometimes 3-4x/ day. I had excellent records. I was so disturbed by my experience I sent a letter to the bank ceo and head of dispute. I heard nothing back from them. Recently was denied the claim and told I need to pay the amount. Beware they do not stand behind their customers. Needless to say I will be looking for a new bank. If I could give them no stars I would. Very disappointed.
OCTOBER 17,2023 I asked to renew my Capital One card while living on a temp. Visa in the Netherlands. I do not want to use false information or data or give my address to someone else in Canada because your policy is to allow fraud. I get an AMEX card using a Netherlands address, why not yours? It's going on 3 months waiting for a response...?
I've been a capital one member for over 10 years. Due to inactivity on my account, capital one decided to close it without my knowledge. When I ask to reopen it and that way I can still have my earning points for how many years I've used their credit card Capital one said that I have to start from the beginning in earning points and will not reimburse any points/credit that I've earned for many years.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
