Hi my name Dekendrick Johnson I was supposed to sail ship Valor February 29 out of New Orleans booking Z0H4M8 I'm having to cancel the trip due to my wife passing away January 1,2024 to a heart attack.I was texting to see if I could get a full refund.
I returned from a cruise on the carnival valor on March 19,2024 and was shocked at the charges they put on my debit card. I put $500 cash against my charges while onboard and it is not reflected. I have been trying to contact customer care since I returmed home to no avail. Its amazing how easy it is to contact them before sailing but impossible to contact them post cruise. I am trying to get an itemized statement of my charges and an adjustment for the cash I paid that does not show.
They are crooked they kept money for a cruise i didnt even attend inhad insurance and all and gave the required documents they asked for and because they didn't wanna refund me they got slick and asked me for cause of death personal information thats irrelevant when i provided a death certificate. Aside from they keep giving me the run around telling me different stories if i had insurance and didnt attend the trip why not refund me or offer me something for a future trip so i can utilize my money not rob me blind.thats sad and crooked dont book through them run while u can.
I purchased two cruise tickets and two excursions for my daughter and I leaving out of Galvaston, TX for a 5 day cruise. My daughter and I are both vaccinated but the other family we were going with had a child too young for vaccinating. We were all excited to go on the cruise and then last Tuesday, Oct 26th, 2021, I get a call from my friend stating all of our reservations were cancelled. I called to confirm this was the case as I had not received notification…after 20 minutes of waiting they confirmed it was cancelled. I asked about getting my refund and they stated they didn't know how long it would take but not to call back. 24 hours later I received the official cancellation notice. It has now been 8 days since they cancelled my trip and no refund. My bank has not been able to get in contact with anyone from Carnival. Do not waste your money. Find another cruise line.

I am writing this review in order to express my total satisfaction with Carnival Cruise Line employee Samantha Jackson (Mappers AUQ). Samantha was very understanding of my need to cancel my cruise and worked with me to facilitate the cancellation. She explained everything that was transpiring to me and made me feel valued as a customer. I do not see how my situation could have been handled any better than it was. I arrived at the ship with my party of 4 only to be told we couldn't get on. One of the people in my party did not have his birth certificate. He was informed since he was in the military he could use his military ID. This trip was a gift to him for retiring from the military after 28 years of service. I was mad at him for not knowing better. It was also his first cruise along with my son and grandson. It would have been my second. It it is at all possible I would like to have credit form this cruise go toward another cruise ASAP we also paid for parking could we have credit for that as well. I really enjoyed myself on your ship and would love to have them experience the same fun I did. Please Please Please do what you can to help.

Evidently rescheduling has no benefit. Despite the enticing "credit" offered, you are better off cancelling and rebooking (with a different cruise line). They turn YOUR money that is put down when rescheduling, and start turning it into a non refundable credit. DO NOT RESCHEDULE! CANCEL! Won't be using carnival cruise lines in the future.
Our room smelled like sewer and outside our room every time we came to our room we felt sick after smelling it so we had to try to stay from being in the room too long was not a good first time experience for my fiance this is my third Carnival Cruise but this one is the only one that I had a bad experience on with that

My family was scheduled for Conquest ship to Key West & Cozumel. We prepare & inquired for need of passport & was told we could use our PA Drivers license ID but when we got to port our handicap daughters' caregiver was denied access to the ship. After three interactions with Carnival pre port arrival we showed caregiver ID & it was accepted So when she was rejected at Port we were totally confused! We had to cancel the trip because we had need of caregiver! Now we are asking for total cost given financially!

I couldn't believe Carnival made all there paying customers before loading on the ship go to a 3 hour harassment orientation to buy time share in some condo's in Florida that the sales harasser would absolutely not take NO for an answer and even threatened to pull us off the ship if we would agree to the time share. I'm so upset with Carnival for putting us all on the spot like that! The ship was dirty and hardly any entertainment, I regret spending my money and time on Carnival. Please do your research, there's alot better cruise lines out there!
I recently cruised on the Radiance. And in the past cruised on other Carnival cruise boats. My one and only complaint is that they are not vegetarian and vegam friendly. They had the same Indian Cury food in the restaurant. Its 2022 they have so many planat based alternatives. At least have an impossible
Burger. Burger king offers that.
My group and i had a very nice time on carnival vista but carnival needs to step up with better food at dinner and breakfast food needs a better taste and better entertainment this cruise line need have better food sodas should be included hire real singers and comedians, like well-known people like Diana Ross Lionel Richie, Gladys Knight Brian Culbertson, Kenny G and better comedians George Wallace Eddie Griffin, Chris Tucker and then every ship you got would sell out once you step your game up
Worst cruise and company EVER! The worst 8 days of my life. Spent 8 sleepless nights, AND DAYS on the Horizon. We unfortunately were on a totally booked cruise and given a cabin directly under the dinning room galley. Had carts rolling, dishes crashing and people running nearly 24 hours a day. Imagine 4am breakfast prep noises continuing until 1am dinner cleanup, everyday for all 8 days of your cruise. Complained about it every day...had we been able to leave, believe me we would have. To make up for it Carnival guaranteed credit for a future cruise with a confirmed credit #4SBQ5(x)
Unless you get it in writing, Carnival does NOT seem to live up to their promised credits. All I get from them now, after hours on the phone is, We can't find that, You need to call customer service, or It's not valid. This company sucks!
Pretty much the reviews I read on her are a lot similar to the experiences that have has in the past ( last year) I'm already having a bad experience and I haven't even gotten on the boat yet. This sis my 7th time Cruisin with carnival. I said I was changing cruise line after last years experience. Here I am again but it's my last. I cruise every year for my birthday & I shouldnt have to deal with a company that's been in bussiness many many years. When you call one representative you get told bits & pieces. It's not until you call back to get more information that you find out a little bit more. By this time your cruise is either cancelled or pay more. Mo money mo money...is what carnival is all about. You can ask fir corporate office numbers all day & write reviews all day. NO ONE is going to do anything. I'm just writing a review even nothing is going to be done or happen. At at least gives me a chance to let other cruisers know that carnival is a rip off
I decided to take my family on a Christmas cruise this year,it has been a rough year on all of us. In one year we lost my son at 19 years old my aunt my grandfather and my beautiful mom all month's apart so I knew Christmas wasn't going to be the same. We love our cruises and love sail with Carnival but this 8 day trip was far the worst vacation ever. I would like to first start off my when getting my luggage the wheels were broken off of it, our room was on the 1st floor and I'm guessing there was a club up stairs from us so sleeping at night until@2 we listened to our floors shake and rattled from the music. 2 days into the cruise I started to get really sick,come to find out the carpet in front of our door was soaked in standing water. They did come vacuum it up but was left a big fan the rest of our trip blowing to dry the water up. And then getting woken up every *******@6-7 with a loud drilling noise like they were cleaning the lines out from sewage, so finally falling asleep from the night club,getting sick from breathing who knows what or how long the carpet has standing water "mold" and getting woken up to the drill sounds from the pikes, I would say this time with Icarnival has been far the worst experience. My husband and I went on a cruise on the carnival dream for our honeymoon from January 27 to February 2 2024. Let me first say that I am a university educated, retired army officer with years of experience in leadership, as well as customer service.
Carnival: Decent in most aspects, however I want to emphasise that I had the worst experience in customer service. Carnival only wants your money and does not care about you as a person. The first day on the cruise, my husband and I had the spa package so we had unlimited access to the spa. The manager of the spa whose name was Naomi (blonde British lady) Was horrible to me for absolutely no reason when I asked her for an itemised receipt. Turns out they overcharged me, and not only was, she badgering me and continually saying "we didn't do that", she even had the audacity to say in front of 10 other guests " have you seen how much you spent at the casino?" I have never endured such disgusting customer service. Furthermore, when I asked her to cancel one of my appointments, she ended up cancel all of them and saying "you don't have to come anymore". I am a disabled veteran and I had an appointment for my chronic pain and she can mine as well as my husband for absolutely no reason. I tried to bring it up with higher level management but I could not get past an assistant manager at the end, all I wanted was an apology and she couldn't even do that. They kept offering me $150 gift card and I said no. I wanted a refund on things that I spent or some sort of compensation, or simply an apology. It took me three days for them to finally say "OK, we will take $150 off of your account CREDIT". Bear in mind, my account spending was $2010 just on additional stuff on the cruise. Carnival, have some decency in the people you hire, please, one moment like that can ruin an entire eight day vacation for a paying customer. I am never using carnival again and I will be sure to Express these feelings and opinions to everybody that I know.
One of the worst carnival ships i have ever been on, service was bad customer service was bad, food was so so, dinning room service was awful, had to wait on a table an average of an hr and a half in the your time dinning room, my room its self was ok except in the shower there was some mold in it on the ceiling, toilet quit working, had to get maintenance to come fix it.up on the lido deck it leaked in the buffett when it rained, the outside of the ship on the hull looked old and needed painting. This is the third carnival ship to have some mold in the shower, overall this ship is thoroughly outdate and in poor shape. Worst ship i have been on. Wasnt enough activities to do.

I recently went on the liberty out of Tampa.So essentially the food has reached cafeteria level. It's hard to find anyone working who's actually happy to be there but there are some. They over sold the boat to a ridiculous level. Zero concern as a company for there quality or the experience of the guests. Greed has ruined every companies ethics at this point. The activities were okay and also consisted of pleads to convince you your having a great time so you rate them well. I honestly don't know why they care because carnival sure doesn't. I think they are totally happy with a crappy cruise line. Also long long lines for EVERYTHING. One ice cream machine for over 2500 guests. I had issues with an excursion some drinks and WiFi. Guest relations were zero help and the carnival credit card is essentially no help either. I did the after cruise survey and received zero response from the company. There isn't even a "post cruise" human to speak to. It sends you to some link where no one cares. Honestly I used to love carnival but I will never use them again. Not really a deal at all for what we paid. This was a very low negative vibe experience.
In regards to booking #1KV9N9, our flight to Miami from Denver was cancelled by American Airlines on Thursday, October 6,2016, due to Hurricane Matthew. We were due to fly out of Denver on Friday, October 7th and then board the ship on Saturday, the 8th. We had no way to get there to board the ship, as we could not book another flight. Carnival's only solution to the issue is to only offer another cruise within 2 years from this one... no refund because we couldn't get there to take this cruise... they did refund the sales tax for the trip but also charged us a $100 cancellation fee at the same time (slap in the face!). We have been asked to state our issue on this review and also attach a copy of our airline cancellation.

My spouse and I have a $500 credit with Carnival, due to unforeseen health circumstances we could not go on our original cruise dated 2-14-14. Booking no. 41DDX1. Credit was advanced to Oct 8,2016. We are unable to sail at this time due to Hurrican Hermine doing damage to our home in Florida, we will be incurring unexpected expense and work at this time. I am requesting that we be able to use this $500 credit toward a cruise for November 12-16,2017 aboard the ship Valor. Please allow this credit not be lost to us by allowing us to cruise with Carnival as requested. We can not afford to lose this money... First time cruisers. We got spa rooms- waste of money - paid for drink packages - absolute waste of money as the bar lines were long at popular times and no one walking around serving drinks, we saw our room concierge 3 times on a 7 day cruise, bath tubs were tiny, breakfast was about the only meal worth eating in the dining room, kids running everywhere and in every pool/hot tub even the 21+ areas, they only use an app for show times, which we saw none of because no one said anything about finding them on the app, lines for food were ridiculous long, our room was hot and muggy and they claimed they didn't have any fans, food outside the buffet lines was expensive, spent $200 on playing deal or no deal and have no clue what the point in the cards was, pressured in to buying over priced expensive jewelry and purses and pictures, and we literally sat for 3 hours in the liquid lounge waiting to get off the ship at the end of the cruise only to be trampled by at least 600 other people who were in absolute panic as they were almost holding us against our will in this area. We couldn't go back to our rooms as they were getting them ready for the next miserable trip to basically no where! I will never cruise with carnival again. I've made complaints, requested partial refunds, about to get an attorney if I don't get a response soon! Worst vacation EVER! Worst most expensive experience EVER! Miserable! Better off going to a dog fight about the same amount of charm and class!

Never again. This was my family's 3rd cruise with Carnival in the last 4 years. The last one started on 08/09/16 on the Liberty, departing from Galveston TX and went to Cozumel and Progreso Mexico. Since our 1st you can really tell that Carnival is cutting cost. The ship was in horrible condition with worn out carpet, tile, steps, etc... it looked like a construction zone. The food was nasty in the dining room and the buffet when you could catch it open. The staff was rude with a few exceptions. The ports well, Cozumel was awesome. That being said we booked a day a Mr. Sanchos outside of Carnival and it was a blast, I highly recommend it. Now Progreso, why would Carnival stop there? If you like being scared and being harassed by the locals then this is the place for you. Never again will we take another Carnival criuse. I guess you get what you pay for.
We left out in Miami, Florida on Dec. 9 2023 at 12:00 for a 8 day cruise. There was such chaos trying to get in the Terminal F and park the car. When we got into the terminal F everything was ok. We went to get some food, the food was bad. The ship rocked back and forth more than any ship we've been on, the food was the worst that we have ever had on the many cruises we've been on. Our room was 8251 a balcony it was above the designate area for smoking I have allergy I could not go out there because the smoke came up to the balcony it caused me to start coughing. The cruise ship should be smoke free.
We departed from terminal F, but was dropped off at terminal D which inconvenienced everyone. On the last day we were delayed six hours due to bad weather retuning to the Miami port, this couldn't be helped. What was so chaotic was the fact that the cruise director (Joey) had no skills in the organization department. Trying to get off of the ship was like Black Friday at Walmart, no one called by muster stations, people rushed to the exits like a 1970s WHO concert

Stay away from this cruise line! Let them sink in their 34B dollar depht. Booked a trip with autopay, they havent charged for the final amount (which we signed up for, even on terms and conditon shows the final amount will be taken with autopay) and they cancelled our birthday trip - saying they sent us 3 emails… (no call) they are not paying back the money, cant use it for other trip as credit. But they offered, we still have room on that criuse for an upgraded room. For double price. This is very bad. Just filed a case againt them on small claim court.
