I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!

The most recent positive reviews here date back to 2020. Clearly the site is still operating under the guise of being in business and simply taking people's money with no intent of shipping product.
Submitted a dispute claim with Visa for the $500 coffee maker I purchased as a Christmas gift. Takes up to 30 days to confirm the outcome and whether I'll get a refund.
The fact that they didn't charged tax should have cued me right away that something was fishy.
Thought I was a savvy online shopper. Won't make the same mistake again.
Cookstore took my money and after several emails apologized for the one month delay in delivery. That was their last communication despite several follow up emails from me when there was still no delivery. 2 1/2 months later I have not received my order. A little (unfortunately subsequent) research on the web showed their "store" to be a rented warehouse. The company last listing on any Ontario business registry is 2011. Lesson learned - do your research first if you and your friends have never heard of the enterprise. Be warned!

0 star would be more appropriate. I ordered a few products in December and never received them after weeks of trying to talk to someone from their customer service. I would not recommend this company unless you have money to loose. Buy somewhere else...
Ordered a $1840 coffee grinder in November 2021, and as of mid February 2022 I have neither received my order not even been given an update on when I may ever see it.
It took 5 emails to get a vague update in early January saying the manufacturer was out of stock... no updates since, no offers for a refund.

The absolute worst. Waited two months for an order than never arrived. Their customer service is trash, they won't give you any updates and when you ask they respond with I don't know. Can't believe this is an actual business, runs like a kindergarten

Looked for cookware for daughter's new home. Promising site with good prices. Placed 2 orders on mid November and my credit card was charged promptly. If only the goods ordered were shipped as promptly. At this point, neatly 3 weeks later, nothing. Called their number: recorded message on repeat with no option to talk to anyone or even leave a message. There is an email address on the web site and another included on that recorded message. The latter promised a response in one business day. No reply. I can only conclude this business is a fraud with a nice storefront but nothing behind it except some scammers. I will be working with my bank and the police to shut these guys down.
Worked with BMO, alerting them to the problem. Ended up spending a little time with their fraud department to explain what I believed was going on. No direct response but the charges were reversed on the next statement.

I can't express how bad this site service is. I made an order months ago, my credit card has been charged right away and I'm still waiting for my goods.
Contacted the "helpdesk" many times. Every time, I've been told to wait 2-4 weeks. It's 12 weeks now. They refuse to refund pretending that the order is sent to "shipping".
It's so bad. Please, do yourself a favor and don't buy from this store.

Do not be enticed by the discounts on the items, it has been two months since I ordered my product; Everything that you think is in-stock isn't in-stock, it doesn't even exist in their warehouse that also doesn't exist. The customer service are liars. I feel sorry for myself as I have only seen the bad reviews now. Please share with those who might be at risk.
It's been now 2 months that I paid for a fridge, customer service said that it should be ship soon.
Still no news, don't try calling they won't speak to you to help you, only to take orders.

I ordered two items from their website that were described as "in stock".
Three months later, and after numerous excuses the items still haven't arrived yet.
They even created a label but the items were never handed over to the shipping company.

Bought some knives last year and went well. Placed an order for a pot in November 2022. It was confirmed and money taken but no delivery, no replies to emails, no one answering the phone. Now trying to get my money back through PayPal

Order several high priced items from them. The first appliance arrived with a plug that is not standard and can't be used in a home. They sent a page long return authorization stating that the box needed to be sent back still sealed and with no markings etc, but should have the RA number on all sides?
Then I try to cancel another piece from the same order, and although it has not shipped yet, they've sent it to shipping and cannot stop it. These guys grab your money and make every excuse not to work with you. Lastly, read the fine print. Just cause it says its in stock, doesn't mean it is, and you might be waiting weeks for them to get it. Try to get your money back and it'll take weeks for them to process the refund. Total scam!

Items listed as "in stock and ready to ship" are not. This company uses Chinese drop shipping, and will give you no ETA on your order. They were quick to take nearly $3000 for an appliance but slow to answer questions or give updates. In the end I had to go to my credit card company to have the charges reversed as they will not cancel an order. Even one that has not shipped.

They list items as in stock and ready to ship. After requesting a shipping update I was told that the item was not in stock but was being drop shipped by the manufacturer. No update on shipping date, time or ETA of arrival. Company was unwilling to issue a refund and cancel the order, even though product had not shipped. Payment had to be reversed through CC.

Just be aware that their return\refund process is overly complicated and you will need to follow up on the return even though they've received the product! I wasted so much time on what should be a simple return. I will not purchase anything from the CookStore.ca in the future.
I ordered a few items in February 2021 and despite being told they would ship in 2-4 weeks I still haven't received them in June. I had made another order in March with the same result. I had messaged once a month to follow up and was always told in 2-4 weeks they would be in stock. I don't know if they even carry any stock of items or just endlessly are awaiting stock from suppliers but despite the prices looking enticing it has turned out to be a complete waste of time.

I ordered a chamber vacuum $3,500 they sent me a used one or a floor model it doesn't work properly on one side. They keep stalling not answering questions. Telling me they're going to get back to me in a day it's been over a month and they just keep avoiding me. How they get back to me is by saying we'll get back to you and that's it with the next step. All I asked for was an exchange for a new one like I paid for. This company is a scam they take your money do not deliver as promised. I shall be reporting and everybody else should be reporting this to the better business bureau I'm also taking him to small claims court after Christmas this is caused me such stress don't waste your Time find a better company
Ordered an item that was In Stock. A week later receive an email, your order is late due to waiting for the supplier. Piss poor service from them. Avoid like the plague! Better off ordering from Wish or Aliexpress. These guys are crooks.
Two weeks later and i am still waiting for my order. My account has already been debited (they did this pretty quickly!). Customer Services are full of nothing but lies! Ive been given 3 different shipping dates. Wont be ordering from them again. I'd rather pay more elsewhere and get my items in a timely and hassle-free manner.
Shipping is super delayed with no available updates. Customer service either doesn't reply or outright lies, claiming some variant of today or tomorrow for sure. Days later when still not shipped, if you're lucky enough to get through to someone, they feed you the same line to kick the can down the road another few days. Can't comment on product quality as I would need to actually receive something to do so!
Look through these reviews and do your own research. The owner is a slimeball whose only goal is to take money out of honest canadian hands. If you proceed with an order you're as dumb as they are crooked.
