I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.
I was a past customer with excellent service and support, So I of course I used them again.BOY what a mistake I have been waiting since October 2022 for one order and my second order since November 2022. I have reached out several times via email and phone calls plus on their website with no response to date...Now I have to work with my bank and file in order to get my money back
Ordered a very popular Ooni pizza oven from the Cookstore. It was out of stock so delayed. The company was very proactive in keeping me informed on the status of the item and when it shipped. Cant say enough good things about how smoothly the purchase experience was!
Placed two orders three weeks ago and they have still to ship my items. Every four days the just send me an email ( it looks like an automatic bot email) saing: " Hello Andrea,
Hope you are doing well and more importantly keeping well!
We wanted to take a moment to just let you know that we have not forgotten about your order, unfortunately one of the items you purchased has been delayed but we are hard at work with our supplier to get the product delivered ASAP.

There have been delays in the delivery of my order. With the COVID-19 situation, this is understandable. Their customer service team has been very helpful and answered promptly to my emails and all my questions. And delivery was fast once the items were received at Cookstore. Awesome service!
I am completely pleased with my recent order from Cookstore. The customer service team kept me informed about the status of my order, which was appreciated. I am also thrilled with the products that I received... the selection of unique items that is on offer is terrific!
I placed the online order, heard nothing for 10 days so I called them and they said it had to be shipped in but would be received that week and I should get it early next week. A week later I called and they gave me the same blah blah blah. A week later I called to cancel the order, the lady said it was cancelled and I would get a confirmation that afternoon. 2 days later I received an email saying the product was shipped. I contacted them to say I want my refund as the order was cancelled. 2 weeks later, still no refund and the product was shipped to a different city. From my experience they will lie to you, not ship you product and scam you. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.
I did an order sept. 1st, and add the items to the cart by clicking (ADD TO CART) but after they take the money (paiement), they were quiet, I had to do a follow-up to learn that the product are not in stock...
They took me as an hostage... took my money... and I have to wait, and wait, and they don't answer email...
Tip for consumers:
Go to another organization that show Qty in stock or they mention items in stock, if you need the product.

We have purchased a $4000 commercial fridge but in fact it was a freezer but had wrong labeling.
I have been trying to resolve this for 3 months and at this point they do not even reply to our emails.
Do not buy from them as they are crooks. I am stuck with $4000 freezer that I can use.

The products were all of very high quality, especially the Zwilling Henckels non-stick frying pan. When they were unable to get the 8" pan I ordered within the time period they had indicated for delivery they offered me the option of waiting until it could be restocked or being shipped the 10" pan at the same price. I chose the latter and received all my goods two days later. In the end I was very pleased with both the quality and service.
I ordered a pan June 27 and did not receive it until September 11. Two and a half months!
There were no indications that the order would be delayed. They charge your credit card immediately when you order.
You cannot reach this company by phone, so I opened a number of tickets, asking each time for an ETA, only to get a vague reply each time about delays due to COVID, problems with supplier, etc. From other reviews, I can see that the delivery issues existed long before COVID started.
The price was good but in retrospect, I wish I had ordered from Amazon and paid a little more rather than spending months wondering when/if I would receive my order. If I had not received my order before the end of September, I would have pursued a refund or credit card chargeback... but this of course would have opened a whole new can of worms... and more delays of course.
The goods were on back order and they did a good job of communicating the delays of which there were a few. The order finally arrived and quality is good. Suggest you look carefully when placing an order as the delay is longer than they say
The products I received were in good condition and quality. I received the package later than I had expected, but considering the slow down due to the quarantine restrictions I am understanding. Overall I am happy with my purchase including the product, price, and the service.
The pricing was great value; excellent communications with the order confirmation, and the shipping tracking was timely with accurate estimated delivery and updates. Overall, I would recommend the cook store to friends.
We ordered some Christmas gift with their site, but did not noticed the backordered note and did not read the reviews. After 6 weeks without updates I read the reviews and freaked out. I called them, but voice message ask for email communication and I did that. That experience did not live up to the bad reviews I can read here. Answers came within 30-45 minutes. In the end I asked for cancellation of order and a refund and it was issued right away and shown on bank statement within 3 business days. One star out for selling out of stock goods and cashing money right away.

Scammer or not, I do not know, but I got my money back without too much hasle.

I purchased two LoDge cast irons from this company as the original company is American and doesn't ship to Canada. I didn't see the order was shipped after a week. I sent an email and the response was it could take 2-4 weeks for the items to be in stock
After reading many bad reviews I called and asked for a refund. I got quite anxious. Because I was on a time line. I had to press 2 as pressing 1 lead to an automated message.
I spoke to a very helpful representative who cancelled the part of my order that wasn't in stock and shipped out the rest of the order ASAP.
I felt the response to the problem was very helpful and recommend calling talking to a human and being proactive in the followup. It's not ideal but was useful for my experience
Items are not in stock but they fail to tell you that at the time of purchase. You have to chase them as they say 2 to 9 days and mid month now and it's not our fault. It is your fault Cookstore. It is.

Great price and service! I was very pleased with the item that I purchased from your website. It was the first time I had ordered anything from your company, but your company was the only one in Canada that had stock of the item I wanted and it was on sale! I ordered it and it arrived within a week in the mail. I am very happy with the purchase and the excellent customer service, parcel tracking and prompt delivery of the item that I received. I would definitely order again from your company in the future.
The blender finally arrived. My wife wanted a blue one for quite some time. Other retailers were not able to get a blue one but you did. It took you some time to get it but that's ok Happy with results.
Delivery service is un acceptable. I contacted them and I got a ticket. They mentioned that the delay was due to the Covid. Bull$#*!. Two days after I ordered something from their companies, the other companies sent my order for delivery from Post Canada. I was not aware of the reviews of the other customers complaining of the services they received but I learnt from my experience. I will never order from this company in the future.
It took a while for the package to be shipped and arrive, but I understand that Covid got in the way. It was well packaged, which was important as it was breakable. Happy with the purchase... thank you.

I'm very pleased to have purchased the Chef's Choice 838 waffle cone maker and a cream dispenser at Cookstore. The price was competitive and the quality of the cone maker and the cream dispenser are really good. We really enjoy playing with our new toys!
