I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.

Even if the site looks amazing, very professional and shows such a diversity of quality products at a decent price, COOKSTORE.CA is a scam! BEWARE!
The ordering process is regular, they grab your money and confirm the purchase by email and claim they will send you a follow up email to tell you when the product will be shipped.
As you can imagine, the shipping confirmation will never come. Have fun calling the 1-800 number as you have 2 choices that ends up nowhere:
CHOICE 1: they tell you contact customer service through email... which is useless because they dont reply
CHOICE 2: talk to a representative for further info on products... which will leave you waiting for 15 minutes until you get the choice prompt back, select again and wait for another 15 min to finally get a message that they are experiencing technical difficulties, try your luck later.
Check BBB, they have tons of complaints on their backs. Seems like the only place where they actually answer.

I thoroughly regret placing an order with this company and wish I had seen these reviews instead of the perfect reviews on their own website. As others have mentioned here, they took my money and waited weeks to hear back. After ordering the product, the next day April 3, I reached out to cancel but they said it has shipped and it wasn't possible. Weeks pass and many emails exchanged and I'm told they'll get me a tracking number shortly'. This is to buy time each time. Eventually I'm told the item I didn't want isn't even available and they offer another item. I agree. More time passes between exchanges though I ask for confirmation. I follow up on April 21 and I'm told they're checking on it. April 23 I get a shipment notification of the item I was told was out of stock and agreed to change to a different product. Ridiculous process, constant delays and lies to buy time and uncertain of the product is actually coming bc the tracking number isn't valid at this time. I will fight this and hope people learn that they are the worst!
Found this website while searching for Canadian places to order cookware. I ordered cooking pots and they arrived promptly and I am very happy with them. A great company to deal with.
Excellent as it was last pan to my set and the Cook Store had the exact product. Very happy with the purchase and will buy more items in the future.

I made an order on Nov 12th, got an email confirming my order and the charge was taken on my card. It took them almost two weeks to give me any other sign of life, and only after I emailed them first, asking them what was up. It's at that moment that they told me one of the items I ordered was unavailable. I agreed to an item swap, and was told that my order was in shipping and that I would get a shipping confirmation soon. That was about 3 business days ago.
I ordered from a Canadian company, to encourage the economy and because I didn't want to deal with international shipping times. I've ordered from China since then and even that has already made it here. I even checked to make sure they weren't in BC where the floods are happening. I live 5 hours from their headquarters.
This is unacceptable. Even if they were to ship today, which they clearly won't, it would have taken a minimum of 3 weeks to reach me. After reading other reviews here, they clearly don't have an inventory here, and sell items they don't have on hands. I will be contacting my credit card company soon.
I had a similar discontinued item issue with a pet company from Alberta this year, and not only did they reach out to me within 24 hours to apologize and work things out, I got my items really quickly. Also, most companies now only charge once the items have shipped to avoid supply frustrations. Take note, Cookstore.

I placed an order in December 2020- delay after delay/months for parts of the order to ship. Then, when i finally got some of the items, some were smashed and months later, no replacements. After 4 months, I finally got a refund for the damaged items. The icing on the cake was that I bought a creamer and sugar bowl. They informed me that the creamer was cancelled by the manufacturer but would not cancel/refund the sugar bowl. Even if they were giving me items for FREE- I WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THIS STORE AGAIN.

I've placed, over the last year, 3 orders on Cookstore.
The good:
Everything that I ordered was received and was exactly as advertised on their website.
All orders received were in original boxes by manufacturers and well packaged, so that there was no damage in shipment
The very good:
I wanted to change the credit card number used for my order, and received a response back from the company within 24 hours.
I also noticed an item on one of my orders, that had not been delivered, had a price drop on their website. I contacted Cookstore and they honoured that price drop even though I had ordered it at a higher price.
The not so good:
On one order of the three, one item was backordered (a knife sharpener), even though the website said it was in-stock. The entire order was held up, but on contact with Cookstore they sent out all items immediately, and later shipped the knife sharpener when it came in-stock.
Delivery times are not amazon like (1-3 days), more like 7 to 10 days. Perhaps a trade-off you make in getting to choose from a wide variety of quality products at decent prices.
All in all, I'm a satisfied customer.

I placed this order on May 13th, and was charged to my cc on May 17th for the order.
Even though my cc had already been charged, for some reason there was concern over my credit card details, a ticket was opened to confirm specific details about the credit card. After promptly replying to the ticket with all the necessary information, I received several calls from customer service to re-confirm my credit card details, again even though my credit card had been charged nearly a week prior to the initial ticket. I have never had this issue with any other online retailer, where I am being asked to confirm my phone number and address from the retailer.
Subsequent to providing all the information required, I was told that a customer service representative would be in-touch to confirm the status of the order and that it would ship shortly after. Over a week and a half has passed since this time, and it has been radio silent. I reached out to customer service multiple times, after which they responded on June 1st that your order has been shipped. Since then it has been almost a month and I still have no work of when I am going to receive my shipment, they have sent me multiple tracking numbers, every day they are updated to state the product will arrive today however it never arrives. I spent over $1,000 on one order and have never faced such terrible customer service. I am left questioning why I didn't purchase directly from the supplier, given that their price point was the exact same. I would never recommend anyone to purchase anything from here.

I ordered a slow cooker in October, by December still did not receive it. I have emailed 5 times, tried calling with no success to talk to a person. They charged me and I have no item and no response... NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! I have never had this terrible experience EVER

This is the worst store ever! Do not EVER, and I mean NEVER, buy from this crappy store. It's called cook store but they should really change their name to Crook Store. I ordered a pot and they didn't deliver it. What a scam! I tried calling and emailing them but no one picked up the phone and they didn't reply to the emails. Once they did pick it up and they said it would be delivered soon. SOON?! IT'S BEEN MONTHS! GET YOUR MATH RIGHT! Do not EVER buy anything from this store. The customer comments are all fake. This store is an absolute scam and a lie. The picture of their store isn't even theirs! They just photocopied it and added their logo to the picture. The location of the store is 6000 Rhodes Dr. The REAL store on that street isn't a cooking store. They don't even have a shop! How can anyone believe this thing?
I wrote a bad review on the website and the next day my review was gone! I wrote another one and it disapeared! They only keep the positive comments which are absolute fakes. Never believe this store. NEVER!

Ordered a vac master august 10/20. It's now Sept 10/20. Still don't have it. You can't believe a word they say. Furthermore, they won't answer the phone. It's got a bull message excuse for covid to fill out a ticket/email on their site. Says 4 hours tops to get a reply... 8 days later you get a bogus email back it's on it's way. Never answer the question put to them at all. Then ya gotta do it all over again. After 4... 5 tickets, I finally put in a request for a phone call, I did get a call within an hour... after it was labeled for fedex.
The waiting wasn't the problem, the problem is not giving you proper updates after ya laid out $1900 and nobody is answering you.
So in the phone call I said I think I deserve some kind of discount or discount card, she said she'd see what she could do. Seeing it's 2 months later. Haven't seen a thing in my email, I'm sure she was just getting me off the phone. Last time I buy from "the cook store.com". Also tried to get a refund, no way there we're giving me my money back. It took awhile for our espresso machine to arrive - due to covid-19 - but the emails every 2-3 weeks to update me on the status and remind me that I hadn't been forgotten were very helpful and relieved me of any stress/consternation I might have been feeling from the delay. The emails also had a very empathetic voice which I felt struck the right tone. When I received an automated reply email after the item had not been received offering to help me find an alternative or refund I replied and eventually spoke to a representative that was really helpful and let me know that I could continue to wait on the machine I had ordered(that being my preference) as Cook Store was expecting it to arrive to them in 1-2 weeks. I felt that was very helpful, my corresponding with the customer service rep. All in all I enjoyed the little touches in the correspondences I received from your team. The assurances sent to me that I hadn't been forgotten kept me feeling in the loop.
All together a good experience so I will shop there again.

I had previously ordered an item pre-Covid with no issues so I felt comfortable ordering again from Cookstore.ca. This time I ordered and was charged for a product which stated it usually ships in 7 to 14 days. I wasn't notified of shipping after 14 days so I contacted them and was informed the product was not scheduled to be in stock for 2 more months. Against my better judgement, I decided to wait as they assured me they would ship it once in stock. Two months later and no word from them. Cookstore.ca contact number leads to a recording instructing to email them. No response from them after 3 emails over 9 days. Now my product on their website is listed as "out of stock". This appears to be a crooked business. They either forgot about my order or intentionally sold out new stock during black Friday period knowing they had my money in their back pocket. I am working with MasterCard on a chargeback. Mastercard has been helpful. Cookstore.ca have had my money for 3 months and still won't respond to my legitimate emails that are trying to determine what's going on? Buyers beware. I no longer recommend this business.
I took advantage of their free shipping during last Christmas (2019) and ordered a few items. A package arrived a few weeks later. To my horror, one item was missing from the package. There was no indication on the package (nor email notification) telling me that the missing item will be shipped later. So I sent them an email. They told me that the item was out of stock but a shipment has just arrived and will be sending me a delivery confirmation within a week. A week passed and no email confirmation. So I asked again and was told the same thing. So I kept waiting. It was probably the longest waiting time in my online shopping experiences. I couldn't help but wonder, will they actually send the item if I didn't keep pursuing. They charged my credit card right away when I placed the order, but didn't send the item till more than one month later. The three stars are given to the email/chat conversations I had with the staff. But I will give a negative three stars to the shipping arrangement. A missing item in my original packaged and a delayed in sending the last item. The whole experience gives me a chilly effect. Despite the great selections on their website, I feel very uncomfortable buying from them again. Trust is lost.
I ordered 2 Scanpans from them. Both were over $100 each. When I received the sautee pan, there was a dent on the edge and I took a photo and contacted them immediately asking for a replacement. Instead of immediately sending me a pre-paid label to return the product, they offered me $10 to keep the product. The product was $110, and they only offer me $10 to keep a product where the integrity of the non stock coating has been compromised. What a joke. I told them I do not wish to keep a damaged pan. It took 3 more emails to finally get the prepaid label after 2 weeks! I immediately shipped the product back. They received it on Nov 1st. On Nov 25, I still did not receive the refund. I emailed to follow up and then suddenly the refund was processed. I was horrified to see they deducted part of the $10 discount that was applied to the order. Seeing as the other item I kept was over $130, it more than qualified for the $10 to be used on its own. You would think that when they ship a damaged product, they would offer a discount code as a gesture of goodwill for future purchases to compensate for the inconvenience caused. Nope, not with the cookstore. Instead they make the situation worse by deducting part of the discount from my refund. I am LIVID. I will never purchase from them again. If I were you I'd stay away as well. There are many other online retailers that sell the same products, do not waste your time purchasing from the cookstore.ca
I had bought a few products on a sale recently and they were delivered very quickly and the prices was the best I could find. Products were as advertised also. Will use this company again.
