I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.
I bought many many items from cookstore.ca and I am pleased with their fast delivery, as well their fair prices and some times their amazing specials. Their online customer service is amazing. For those who are hesitant, give it a try and you will see how good they are in service as well prices...
I bought a Lodge cast iron Dutch oven as a gift for my son, to encourage his interest in baking sourdough bread. Service was excellent, with frequent updates from the time my order was placed until it was delivered. I am happy to support a Canadian on-line business, and this was a great way for me (living in northern Ontario) to get a heavy, bulky item to a family member in Victoria, BC.

Shipping was by Canada Post. Not super-fast, but I got regular status updates about my parcel and delivery, so I was satisfied with how my order was processed and shipped.

This is a first for me, everything usualy works out, but this company proves otherwise. Super slow shipping times for items that are supposedly in stock (well over a month) awful customer service. Plus I just receved an empty box from them, whatever mess up you could imagine will happen. Never agin with this micky mouse operation
Love my gorgeous new Staub double handled 13.25 qrt fry pan. Although I didn't receive before Christmas, I really appreciated how customer service kept me posted. Impressive! Great price and I would order again from this company. Thank you.
Very terrible experience. I spent $700 on the site buying pots in December. They were happy to take my money but I heard nothing for a month. When I requested a refund because I'm sketched out, it took them a full week to respond to my multiple inquires for a refund, and the email they sent was super passive aggressive with no apologies. I'm sure they are having issues with supply chain in covid but still be normal - don't charge customers until shipment, inform customers clearly of ETAs so they can make their decision, respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion. Is that too much to ask?
BTW I bought from Kitchensmart the same pots they arrived so quickly. I am still waiting for my refund from cook store. With I knew this earlier I would not have spent money on the site. I'm enver ever buying from Cookstore again. It's just a waste of time and money.

Same experience as others. I still haven't received shipment notification for my Technivorm moccamaster after 2 weeks. Good prices, however the fact that I have to pay my mastercard bill before the item even ships makes for some very questionable business practice in this day and age of internet shopping.
I would highly recommend to get price matches from other online retailers as this company is not worth the time.
This company is just a major headache. I purchase a couple of things online with these guys using PayPal. After a week they still hadn't shipped them out. By the way the shipping cost more than both items put together. The customer service is non existent, literally! It does have a place to click "Contact Us", but when you do click on it, nothing happens. There is no other way to contact customer service if they have such a thing. There confirmation email that I received is "donotreply" email address. Also in order to "track" your order, the website makes you download some random third party program to your phone that I got a "spam" warning for.
Very shady company. I've had to file a claim with PayPal to get my money back. Not worth the time or effort. Use caution if you still insist on purchasing anything from them. My guess it's some Asian website that is not maintained.
I ordered (and paid for) something on Dec 2, and a week later still no email to notify me it had been shipped. So, I phoned customer service. After a long wait, I was politely told they were a bit backed up because of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and that my order would be shipped in the next 1-2 business days. It wasn't. An email sent to them a week ago asking about the status of my order has garnered no response, either. NOT a good customer experience. Will never order from them again, not worth the aggravation. I'd rather have the item I ordered, but at this point I'm just hoping I can get my money back. UPDATE - Dec 19th, tried Live Chat to see what was going on as there was never a response to my email. Was told they were waiting on a shipment from supplier and would send my item when it arrived. This means that they are selling things they don't even have in stock - this seems very shady to me, unethical.
Web site provides two methods of contacting customer support. Phone number most often directs to contact form on web site. Contact form ' answered within 48 hours sometimes as little as 2 hours'. Not my experience.
Multiple items in Order placed November 29th have still not been delivered. One item delivered, not as described on web site. Return requested and refund given.
Only phone phone call got through to agent. December 15 'remaining items have been shipped you should get them soon.' No email shipping notification, no tracking number. January 5th. Again phone call and chat site refer one to contact form. Cook's store apparently has 2,000 contact forms to respond to. This contact with Customer Service is now in its 38th day and without a tracking number I have no idea where the second shipment is. Really wanted to use Canadian Company rather than Amazon. Amazon at least answers the phone. I am exhausted.

Ordered 3x items on the website and received order confirmation on Dec 3. Phoned the *******595 to ask when the planned to ship the order... nobody answers you just get a message to send and email: *******@cookstore.ca
I then sent an email and they did not answer my question but gave a general 2-3 week delivery time...
By the 5th email... Finally, I cancelled the order after getting a Jan 10th shipping date (that would be approximately 6 weeks or more... I don't trust or believe them...)
I'm still waiting for the refund.
Ordered a high end frying pan May 15th, it's June 10th, no frying pan. No emails, nothing. Sent 3 emails asking to update me, no response. It sounds like take your money and run, or just ignore you. I'll be disputing the charge on my credit card...
Received the pressure cooker in good condition {factory fresh}. Took around 3 weeks, but I was notified of the delay. Overall I am satisfied with the service as well as with the product. I would like to thank the Cookstore team for the good service provided.

I do online shopping regularly and I'm happy with most of them except for this one particular. I purchased an item in late May and returned as soon as I received it, and now I'm still waiting for them to credit my money back. I'm contacting my banking to dispute my charge and I will never ever shopping with them again.
In November 2022, I ordered 2 series of plates and 1 week later I received part of my order. My credit card was charged in November and I am still waiting for a credit or my plates. In January 2023, I contacted them again and they still don't answer my e-mails. This company is not honest or reliable. I strongly suggest to avoid this company if you don't want to be frustrated and lose your money!
I ordered a $400 mixer a month ago from their website. I understand some delays with Covid but it still hasnt been shipped. Said in stock and available but i keep getting told "Theres a delay, please allow up to 3-6 more business days to ship". Customer service wont respond to me anymore and im trying to get my $400 back. Phone lines wont pick up they just say to submit a ticket. They have good looking deals but the hassle and bad service is nowhere near the headache ive been getting from them. Spend the extra few bucks to get it somewhere else.

I placed an order, then quickly emailed them to cancel my order. Within a day. They refused to cancel it, then shipped it telling me I could refuse the shipment or return it for refund. I was not able to refuse the shipment because the box was just left on my porch with a "no signature required" label on the box. I contacted them to return my cancelled order and they refuse to provide a prepaid return label and insist on me shipping it back on my own dime. I already paid $15 to ship an order I cancelled! I will never buy from them again. There is no fine print to read, there is nothing on their site warning people that you cannot cancel an order once it is placed.
When I ordered my item from the website they told me it will arrive in 7-10 days, now they are telling me they don't have the item in stock which I made sure they had in stock even I called them and looked online, but now they are telling it will arrive next month... I asked for an refund because I don't want the item anymore they haven't responded to me. They are an awful company, they keep on lying to people.
I love cookstore! I called to say I needed a wolf blender as a birthday gift for my mom ASAP. I placed the order and it arrived immediately. My mom was floored! Excellent quality and packaging! It's my fourth wolf item purchased and I'm completely satisfied with cookstore and I depend on them!

This is the first review I have ever written in my life. Having purchased items from all of the world I have never ever experienced such a poor experience. I also have had a similar experience as others. I made a purchase and have never received any follow up despite calls and emails.
I purchased an All-Clad 8" D5 Stainless Steel Frying Pan. I am exceptionally satisfied with every aspect of my purchase. The product, price, shipping and delivery of the product were all exceptional. I am very happy with this purchase. Products were shipped to Alberta.
I ordered stand mixer from them, it was passed 2 weeks, i try to call them they didn't answered, I emailed them to ask where is my order, they said ahh so sorry we don't have stock you selected colour! Why didn't you guys contact me? No answer! I canceled my order. They not taking responsibility! Don't trust this company!
Made a $800. Purchase since early June. It is July 15th. NO product. No way to reach them by email. No way speak to them and regardless of how many emails I send. No responses. Great experience with my order. The site worked as expected, items in/out of stock were clearly identified. Straightforward checkout and confirmation email. Nice follow up email a few days later to clarify shipping expectations with Covid. Further email to confirm shipment and expected delivery timing, which was spot on. Ooni arrived in perfect condition, and was put to use immediately. Great job!
