I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.
CAVEAT EMPTOR - If you like throwing your money out the window - shop here. They will charge your credit card right away and never deliver your items. Three months later and nothing delivered. You can't speak to anyone directly here because their phone goes in a loop and is not answered and once your emails start going in a negative direction due to non-shipment, all email communication is cut off. These guys are beyond dirty. Read all the reviews, here and elsewhere. FRAUDULENT COMPANY

I ordered some pans from here on a Black Friday deal (hint: they are not actual black friday deals, just regular deals rebranded during black friday). Placed order on Nov 28, no items were listed as backordered or out of stock. Dec 8, I get an automated message saying, among other things: "We wanted to take a moment to just let you know that we have not forgotten about your order, unfortunately one of the items you purchased has been delayed but we are hard at work with our supplier to get the product delivered ASAP." They also throw out a generic COVID-19 excuse. No other retailer (5+) I have used in the past 3 months had any more shipping delays than usual.
I wrote back by email to demand they send whatever items are in stock, or I will seek a refund for the excessive delays. It is now Dec 21 and I have heard nothing from them. Three weeks later and a human has not reached out, and the items have not shipped.
I do not have my product and also I do not have my money back.
Worst experience ever.
They gave me a tracking number only I asked them about my order.
That tracking number is with VitranExpress, another bad company, but Vitran cannot find the packet so I am back to cookstore. They gave me the same tracking number but allocated to a different transport company, but this number is non-existing on the second one so I went back to cookstore. You call them but answer only if you want to put a new order, otherwise, they send you to the mail. And here the answer is to ask the transport company because from their point of view the packet is shipped
Took my money, no communication on delays, no idea when my products will be shipped.
I am now 6months and waiting for my items and they have 0 idea when I will get them.

I ordered and paid for 3 products (two knives and a cookie press). It took almost a month to arrive and then I realized they mailed me1 knife and one cookie press. I contacted the store to ask for a refund for the knife not mailed, instead of issuing me a refund, they sent me another cookie press and asked me to pay for it and they did not issue me a refund for the knife! There were multiple emails back and forth and they never resolved the issue. Do not order anything from this store, there are many other good options for cooking gadgets and supplies that provide better customer service.

Hi, I had to purchase a counter display case for my Cafe, after not much luck, I finally found Cooks Store and wow, amazing service by Ryan who answered all of my questions, offered my some advice and guidance. I was able to make the purchase of a much needed product with prompt delivery (2 days) and service to Kahnawake (South shore of Kahnawake) Definitely recommend this store and will be purchasing again in the near future. Thank you :)
I requested for a refund. The credit card on file was no longer valid and I had a new one. The customer service rep, Olesya said the refund would automatically be redirected to my new card.
I have called the credit card company and they said the refund was sitting in my old credit card account and it will not be redirected to my new card.
I had to call them to ask them to redirect my funds from my old card to my new card, as they have no way to know that the refund was sitting in my old account.
I waited over 9 business days for nothing to happen. Furthermore, I had to wait an additional 5-10 business days because the credit card company had to actually process it.
Olesya and the company should not provide this kind of information if they are not familiar with the processes of a credit card company, considering they do not work there.

It has now been three months since I ordered my items from cookstore.
I had spent over $700 and nothing.
All they said was "it's backordered" no compensation, no way to try and solve this issue.
They also had a website trouble FOR OVER A MONTH where nobody was able to login to their account to see the status of the order.
I had already paid for my items and I wasn't able to see the status or access the account.
I ended up asking for a full refund because this was ridiculous.

I have wanted to buy a quality carbon steel pan for a while and after doing research settled on deBuyer as being the best one can buy. I placed the order with Cookstore.ca and a day later had changed my mind in the size and had no problem changing the order. The order arrived quickly despite of issues we have all been facing with Covid-19 issues Very professional and couteous. I highly recomment and will be placing orders to increase my deBuyer collection.
I Purchased the Staub - 0.81 QT Round Cast Iron Petite Cocotte Graphite Grey. It took some time to receive it because of the COVID-19 situation had caused significant delays. However, Cook Store kept in contact with email updates, they even offered a refund or substitution for another item. As I was not in a hurry for my pot I did not mind the wait. I am quite happy with my purchase, and am considering getting the next size up. Thank you Cook Store.

An order was placed and my Visa immediately charged. They then advised there would be significant delays in shipping my order. I responded I had made alternate arrangements (Best Buy shipped immediately!) and to cancel my order. They then (2 days later!) suggested I purchase something else off their site before processing my refund. I again confirmed I had made other arrangements and to cancel my order and refund my Visa. They then shipped the item anyway! They will not refund me and say returns take many weeks to process and I will be out the shipping and return shipping anyway.

All of my purchases from this website were great purchases. In 2016 I blender and coffee maker both of which are still operational. 2020 I purchased aDelongi convection oven still operational and in 2021 I purchased a knife sharpener, a boning and slicing/carving knife and a food processor and never had a problem with any of these purchases. I am sorry to know that my fellow consumers have had so many bad experiences

Its simple, I called directly to ensure a sink that was on their website was in stock. I needed it for a construction project. They put me on hold and checked and said "yes its in stock and it can be out within a day" i agreed, and said i would pick up curb side to help. They said there is "no curbside' due to covid but it would be shipped. I agreed and said ok. Still nothing, they never had it in stock, they havent shipped it and they charg3d my credit card. I contacted again and nothing, RUN! Buy from anybody else. I am proceeding with Fraud. This is the low lifes out there and customer service is the biggest crooks.

I ordered a Danish Ebelskiver pan from the Cookstore. This was my first experience ordering from them and I felt confident that this Canadian store would deliver as promised. To cut a very long story short, I spend weeks and weeks following up on the order, which was backordered. Even after the backorder time had passed, there was no sign of the pan. After getting many "non responses" from the reps, I asked to speak to a Manager. This Manager very coolly told me that pan had been discontinued. She did not at all seem regretful of the fact that I had received such a runaround. Plus, the fact that my credit card had been debited for quite some time did not seem to matter. She told me my credit card would be refunded (which it was) and a brief insincere sorry came from her. How unprofessional and discourteous of the Cookstore! I have decided NEVER or order anything from them again.

Originally spoke with chat support and email support indicating that I would receive the Vacmaster on a specific date. I also inquired if it was something they held in stock and weren't dropshipping from the manufacturer. After placing my order the support team changed their answers and is no longer providing 30 day return coverage. Holding me liable for the costs.
For those of you who have been frauded by this company call your Credit Card company and request a chargeback. AMEX says this is happening a lot due to the misleading website and false customer communications. All you need to do is provide screenshots of the conversations with their team.
We placed an order from cookstore over 7k cad on NOV 26 2019, and till JAN 20 2020, we still not receiving anything. And during this waiting period we tried to call or email again and again, they never answer or reply. Especially the sales JIM. When we were placing the order, this guy keep push to pay. When i providea credit card, i told him dont charge until we confirm your invoice, but he didnt listen and just charge directly before we confirm. I purchased WOLL pan few years ago in Germany and wanted to get another bigger pan. After many Days of research I came across Cook Store and called them to see if they really carry WOLL Made in Germany line. Lady I spoke was very friendly, added 10% discount and I purchase 2 instead of just 1 additional pan. They came within next few days and I loved cooking in them. Highly recommend!
In August 2022 I ordered and paid for two cheese graters and an extra fine grater attachment - order # *******. These items were going to be Christmas gifts and I thought that I had ordered them in plenty of time to receive them in December 2022. On August 11th I paid $165.87 for my order. I checked on my order about once a month and received the same response numerous times: "I apologize for the delay on your order. Unfortunately, the information I currently have available indicates that your items and delay and are estimated to arrive in 2-3 weeks." Cookstore did not deliver and they have my money. I really wanted these items and I don't know why I am getting such a run-around. I had also ordered a commercial dishwasher for our Kaslo Senior's Hall and it arrived and we are very happy with that purchase. What is going on? Are they still in business?

As reflected in so many other reviews here they are an absolute sham of a company to deal with. Items their site says are in stock aren't. Huge delays with shipping with endless canned responses of "we'll ship your order soon" from customer service. After almost a MONTH from putting in an order and being told constantly it wasn't in stock but would ship soon, I finally gave up and asked for a refund. I got no response for 4 days after multiple attempts to reach them on the 4th day they told me they couldn't cancel the order since it was "already with shipping". This company has a real smell to them. After seeing all the other negative reviews I know I'm going to be in a situation where I have to dispute these charges with my creditcard company.
