I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.

I've made several orders. I know to make sure the items are in stock before shipping.
Yet without fail, I get the email: Back Order, 2-4 Weeks.
5 weeks later I contact: oh we're sorry, looks like 2-4 more weeks.
3 weeks later? 2-4 more weeks.
I got a refund after 9 weeks and finding the item elsewhere. This site and the others like it have items that are hard to get in Canada, and usually for a slightly better price. Always check Cookstore.ca, kitchenessentials.com and kitchensmart.ca. But be warned: they all play this same game. An unending wait for products.
Their customer service is: list everything on website, take money, place order overseas, don't even bother tracking those orders or giving the customer actual information. You can tell their employees are not allowed to say anything except:
"Thank you for your order. That will be 2-4 weeks."

Check everywhere else first. Kitchenessentials.com, Kitchensmart.com sometimes have better prices, but I have had the exact same experience with these of unacceptably long wait-times, beyond what was stated at purchase. Months of waiting. They carry things that are hard to find in Canada. The scam is that they aren't upfront: Just tell me that the wait will be 3 months.
I ordered one item from their website that was described as "in stock".
This was supposed to be a christmas gift but after few weeks, still haven't arrived...
Few excuses email stating that it's the Covid fault...
Next time, I will by my items from Amazon...

Kitchen Aid processor 7 cup: best price, and best colour offering I could find. Shipping was a bit of a mix up but it was the mfr. And not Cook Store that held up shipping for about a week. Regardless, package came very quickly once shipped, and my wife is more than pleased, which means I am too. Thanks to Customer Service for keeping me updated during the shipping process. That in itself is rare these days. I'll order again from this firm, they deliver on price, selection, shipping, and customer service management.
Placed order October 23. Nov. 5 notified of out of stock item, substituted same day. Still hadn't received order by Dec 9. Told repeatedly that they would "get back to me". Never did. I was patient. They on their own initiative refunded the order despite my being patient and instead of simply filling the order. Why not just fill the order? This refund was clearly a blow-off when I asked to speak to a manager. 8 weeks of nonsense.Do not do business with this company if you really need something.
Ordered on Jan 1st and they keep saying 3-4 weeks, but order has not been shipped out yet. They take paymemt son after your place your order even though you are not supposed to be charged until your order ships out.
Avoid this store at all costs. Now i will have to try and get a refund or make a claim with my credit card company.
Cook Store, despite being hampered by the on going Covid crisis, kept me informed of the status of my order on a regular basis. They delivered my pressure cooker in excellent condition with minimum delay. I would recommend this company to anyone.
It took over a month to receive an order of items that were in-stock online. No updates from Cookstore about the fact that one item was backordered, delaying the whole order, until I emailed them several times to ask about the delay. The items finally arrived and were defective (John Boos boards... don't bother with these as the quality is crap) and it's been 2.5 weeks now of me trying to get a return label from Cookstore to send them back. They keep telling me "Don't worry, we'll make this right!" but haven't yet to send along the return labels. It's been a very frustrating process. I won't be shopping with them again.
More than 2 weeks ago I ordered a citrus juicer and I haven't received any information regarding shipping. All answers: "You'll get the tracking information shortly". I don't recommend to order there. Take care of yourself.
The only reason I would give this place 1 star is because of their quick response. Other than that, worst experience ever. I don't know from where these items are being shipped, but I've been waiting over 2 months for two different items which I also placed in two separate orders. I understand there can be delays, especially with this pandemic but to have NO update whatsoever is ridiculous. They waited till I messaged them to let me know they're backordered. No estimate time given, nothing. They don't even remove these items from their websites. Not only that, I had to contact them again for them to tell me one of the item is discontinued.

Excellent products and large selection of kitchen ware. Prompt customer service. Product arrived as promised. There is no mention on the web site about the delivery time. Expect longer than usual shipping and delivery time as compared with other web-stores. However, the Cookstore's price is also substantially better than other stores. All in all, a good experience and quality product for a very good price.
Order was placed may 7th 2020. Advised of back order. June 6th received an email that i will be refunded. Responded within 15 min. I agreed. Tuesday may 9th. Told i will not be getting a refund.

Nothing but a headache!
Order came relatively quickly. Understandably a few days delay for it to be shipped given COVID. Happy to support a Canadian business that had the brand and exact version of the drip coffee maker that I wanted in stock. Was well packaged, so arrived with no damage to the contents or the outer box.
I've order a vacuum sealer from cookstore.ca and it says 5-9 days due to the covid 19 epidemic, but it has been 20 days already and i keep asking for an actual time frame... all they do is keep copy and pasting the same $#*! over and over again... they dont even have the decency to even reply to my email... just keep copy and pasting... businesses actually depend on others been on time or at least having a knowledge of when products will arrive... but with this company... im very disappointed... probably would never buy from them EVER AGAIN!
Guy got irate with me about asking questions about my order that I placed 2 weeks ago. Couldn't give me an update, talked over me and was extremely rude. Go $#*! yourself buddy. I should also add to the review the products did come finally and they are actually really good. I am pleased with the pans but $#*! customer service.
Ordered a set of pans first week of december it is now March and I still haven't received them... Every two weeks I ask where my order is and they say another 2-4 weeks. I asked for refund and they gave a part refund saying part of the order was in shipping. A week later, guess what? It is not in shipping and can be expected in a week. Right. At some point, you just have to assume that customer service staff are fed bad information or are liars and just want you to go away. They sell stuff they don't have at great prices... the problem is that you may not receive the stuff, ever.

I went to every kitchen store in the city and couldn't find the salt/pepper mill combo unit that I was looking for. I even went to specialty restaurant stores. I didn't want the plastic cheaper kind because this is a Christmas gift. So I went on your website and found several but narrowed my search down to two mills that I liked. I used your 'Chat' feature and spoke with Jim and told him how I definitely need this item by December 18 and he helped me choose between the two mills and assured me that I would receive it by my deadline. Needless to say, it arrived in perfect shape and within 3 business days of placing the order! The price was extremely reasonable and impressive too. Next time I'll save time and money by going directly to your website instead of driving all over the city and coming home empty-handed. Well done Cookstore!
I had put my order in on December 2nd and the Shop app never updated past the first chunk of "shipping". I emailed twice and called once with no replies whatsoever, and then googled reviews. Should have googled beforehand, lesson learned. Clearly a front for a fraud and scam account. Will be going to my credit card company and getting a chargeback/return from them.

Purchased the Bunn speed brew home coffee maker. Great product! Does take some trial and error to zone in on the brew strength and taste that you like because the Bunn instructions call for more coffee grinds than you may be used to. It's based on regular grind i think. I weigh out the coffee grinds on my kitchen scale. If you use fine grind, then use a "SLOW " filter paper... the Bunn paper is too fast. I use NoName papers from Presidents Choice. I make 6 cups at a time using 40 grams of fine gind Tim's coffee.
Love this Bunn coffee maker.! Great service, assistance delivery from the Cookstore! Highly recommend it!
I waited over 2 months for my order. I called in several times looking for an update, and had to leave voicemail messages which I found sketchy. Nobody ever called back. I wrote emails to complain, and it received an automatic response with the next action item being "awaiting customer response" asking me to confirm if I should want them to proceed with the customer service ticket. Also sketchy. The only time I could speak to an actual person was when I told the automated system I wanted to place a new order... sketchy. The sales person "didn't have access" to the system that managed existing orders... sketchy...
Don't trust this website
Do not believe any of the 5 star reviews! These fraudsters will take your money, not send your order and then not respond to any phone calls or emails! Contact the anti fraud centre and get your money back from your credit card company!

I ordered a Dutch oven from their web page that said would ship in 2 to 5 days. A month later, I haven't even received a shipping notice. When you call the customer service number, they tell you to contact them through the website and someone will reply. What you get is a canned response, and when you reply you get the same canned response of shipping in 2 to 9 days. I have asked for them to just cancel & refund twice. Another canned response. I expected more from a Canadian company. Very disappointed, zero customer service. Avoid this store.

Item was unused. They will ask you unopened. How can you not open the box and know if not the right product? Back and forward 5 email didn't receive RA. I will never shop here again. Very unreasonable.

I recently ordered a Jura coffee machine (high end) and had amazing service from the beginning to my order to the end. It arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. I'll order from them again! Thanks for your great service. Also, a huge shout-out to all those hardworking Windsor Ontario workers who have been keeping us all very happy during Covid-19!

Do not order anything from this company. They're just drop shipping the product with not control over the quality of the service or delivery. I placed an order for a pan and never received it. After 4 weeks I email them just to hear that their suppliers are slower than usual due to covid. What they don't mention is that they may not have the product in stock but they still take your money immediately. I asked for a refund and have been waiting for 2 weeks to get my refund back. First and last time I use this company.
