I've shopped at Cookstore.ca many times over the past 5 years. Their selection of high quality cookware is among the best I've seen in Canada. While delivery sometimes takes a little while, they keep me posted and always come through -- and I've found it's worth the wait for excellent products, some which can't be found anywhere else. Recently, they went above and beyond: I had ordered a high-end item that unfortunately had a defect that was revealed on use; when I went to the manufacturer, their customer service was surprisingly and disappointingly inadequate. I contacted Cookstore.ca and explained the situation, and without any further questions they made it right. Kudos to Cookstore.ca for being a responsive -- and responsible -- retailer!
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.
Shopping on Cookstore.ca is an easy process with detailed descriptions and fast checkout process. Our coffee pot was quickly delivered in a well padded box so everything was in excellent condition.
We ordered the All-Clad 12" Copper Core Skillet at a really good price, and it arrived quickly and in great shape. It's a beautiful pan, and doing business was easy. Thanks for a great purchase!

We used the Cookstore since we needed a timely delivery for high chairs for our restaurant. Prior to purchase we were promised 5-7 business days delivery. It has been more than 2 weeks and we still do not have the chairs. At this point we have incurred expenses for rentals to the tune of multiple the original cost of the purchase. They employed a misleading business practice and are in breach of contract. This may be the way they do business in general, please see other reviews and save yourself the trouble of dealing with them. I WOULD NEVER, EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Excellent Service, one of the pizza stones came with a crack in the handle. I was able to contact Cookstore and they sent me a new one right away.

I trust the random automated voice phone calls telling me a won a cruise more than this site. They lie about stock but charge your card asap when you place an order, then leave you hanging for months while the website randomly updates to out of stock despite manufacturers & other normal stores all having availability. Emails do not get responded to and the phone lines are duds that send you in an endless hold loop. Only way to get your money back is a chargeback through your credit card.

Made an order over never received it. Customer service has stopped responding once I asked for a refund. Promise after promise was made that the item was "in shipping"
Do not order from CookStore. I ordered an All American Canner Feb,2022 and I still have not received my order. They took my money and have stopped responding to my requests for any delivery or shipping updates since July 2023! The Customer Service representative "Candice" did not provide any such information other than Katherine,
"Our next shipment is expected to arrive next year. Production is very slow for the All-American". I have tried to contact them again and now their email at customer support at *******@cookstore.ca no longer exists and Cookstore.ca website now directs you to a different business ChefSupplies.ca where they can continue to take peoples money! Save your money and some grief and order from a different company. I have filed a charge dispute with my credit card company and will have to wait to see how the investigation goes. Over a year and no canner or even a committed time when I will receive it. Lesson learned- if you can not get any commitment for a date when they will fulfill their order something is wrong. New company Chefsupplies.ca. Think twice about ordering here too.

Ordered 3 items in early October, none of which were marked as out of stock when I ordered them. Nothing has been shipped yet. Reached out to them multiple times and they have never been able to tell me when my items will ship, as one item is apparently backordered. When I asked them to send me the items in stock and the backordered item when it arrived they tried to get me to instead get something else (not even the same tool) one for $20+ more (with me paying the difference) and the other a total piece of garbage. When I declined and again asked them to send the in stock items immediately and the backordered item when it arrives they cancelled the backordered item from my order - without asking.
I had ordered that item for someone else and now 2 months later I am back to square one and if I want something similar I am going to be stuck paying exorbitant shipping or buying stuff I don't need to get free shipping.
Absolutely useless site - misleading about the state of their stock, zero proactive communication about orders, avoid at all costs.

Brutal - same experience as everybody else... original order from two months ago. They tried to cancel part of it a month ago and I said I'd wait - don't cancel anything. Now it's been two months and it taking too long for the "backordered" items to come in, so I asked for a cancellation today. Their response is that unfortunately since part of the order has been sent to shipping, I can't cancel it. That is BS - suddenly, after two months of nothing, the order happens to be at shipping at the exact same time I ask for a cancellation? They have no way to contact them other than working through their email system. They seem to have only two employees (Chloe M and somebody else). If I check my order online right now, it still says "Processing" and that the items are backordered. Yet, if I search for those same items on their website, they're all listed as available, but part of my order is somehow at "shipping" according to Chloe M who won't cancel and refund me. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider shopping with these folks. Even if something costs twice as much from somebody else, it's worth it.
Purchased mixer on line, all went well. It was easy shopping. I was at the cottage when my mixer was delivered so my neighbours who picked it up for me

I ordered with plenty of time for Christmas only to be told a week out that I had cancelled my order (I did not) and that I had been refunded (I had not).
Being so close to Christmas I went and re bought the items elsewhere. When I wrote about my refund they said that was a duplicate (?) and that my order was waiting on something to ship.
I asked to simply cancel my order but they replied I couldn't because it was already shipped. What a load of BS.
I will have to try and return the item is they ever show up at all.

I did a $355.00 order for 5 Thermal Bunn carafes and was told almost 2 weeks later there would be a $190 extra shipping fee. The only caveats they mention on their site are items over 30lbs or in remote locations will be extra freight. The order was to Vancouver BC. Not remote. Then I chatted and emailed asking if the order was over 30lbs could they put them in separate boxes. They said yes, no problem. Or I could order each one separately and it should come I thought also. So they had no excuse but to tell me the manufacturer has shipping costs which means they don't stock it but just order from the manufacturer and have them send it. They don't mention that either in their shipping explanation. And there was no mention that there was no free shipping when purchasing My invoice said "Free Shipping" - https://www.cookstore.ca/pages/shipping-policy
Also their "Expert Help" phone line doesn't even have an option to talk to anyone. It tells you to email. I had it refunded.
They need to update their "Free Shipping" information. Waste of my time.
I think you should not be taking customers money before items are shipped. Not sure how you stay in business.
