Realizing that I did not fully understand the bid process and the end play, I asked the question about canceling a bid. It was handled quickly and efficiently by Cody.

Let's do the math. DealDash sells bids at $0.15 per bid. That means that for every penny of the price of an item in an auction means they make $0.15. In a $1 final cost item? They make $15. In a $20 final cost item? They make $300. Usually, an item that has an MSRP value between $200 and $400, won't even sell for $20.
Let's say this:
Item sells for $20 to the winner. DealDash makes $300 on bids alone. Add in the $20 and DealDash makes $320.
The item's MSRP was $400. So they lost $80?! Right...
Two possibilities:
1. They're losing money
2. The items they auction aren't worth what they say they're worth
Which one do YOU think is more likely?
My advice after getting burned with $150:
1. Stay away from this site. Nothing is worth what they say its worth. I bid on and won some $380 Bolvaint Paris sunglasses. Spent a total of $113 on bids and the final auction price. They're cheap, made in China, and you could have found a pair of equal quality at the dollar store!
DealDash hides gift cards from experienced users because they don't make money off of those.
2. Use Quibids. Unlike DealDash, QuiBids puts up for auction brand name, well known items that would be really difficult to counterfeit. Granted, QuiBids are $0.50 per bid, but that's exactly why... because they actually auction off stuff of value not poor quality goods they advertise as having a large value.

So far I've had nothing but a good experience with this service. At first I thought this place was a little bit on the greedy side because you are only bidding to win the deal and then you pay for that deal separate from what you had bid. But then I made a mistake and had my daughter basically drain my funds because I had saved my credit card number on my account and she had boutg bid package with the rest of my available funds. I thought well great this is gonna be a big fat "no way" when I request this refund. So I contact customer service and request a refund with a quick summery of what happened. I notice my bid count changed from 700 to 400. So I think great they are only going to refund part of the money. And this all happened within 3 mibuted so I check my email and there is a message saying they have refunded my payment in full and had giving me 400 free bids for my inconvenience. When in my eyes I was the one being inconvenient not them. That shows a lot about this company. They value there customers and I apretiate that they are a prime example of how a business should treat their customers. Its sadly a dyeing breed nowadays most customer service people will tell you to piss off and call you a thief or a scam artist when you ask for refund. Thank you for the respect deal dash!

I won a Microwave and when it arrived it wouldn't work. I emailed Deal Dash and within two days I received an email with a scan code to take to WalMart and exchange the microwave. I'm impressed!

I won a 25$ gift card from Amazon for just a few dollars. I was then asked if I wanted it for 1 cent and of course I said yes, but when it came it was for only 15dollars.

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service department with DealDash. On November 13th, I received a message via email that my item that I won was on its way! It also stated that if it did not arrive by November 23rd to contact the customer service department immediately... which I did. I did again on the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th. They have yet to return to me regarding my missing item. The short video and their website claims they will reply within 24 to 48 hours. I will never spend money on this company that claims they are honest and fair!

I just signed up and I realized I had been charged a $20 fee for a bidpack. I didn't even know what I was charged for until I really looked! Highly upset. I just want my money back.

Hi Trezelle,
Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry to hear that there's been a misunderstanding.
The initial payment was for the bidpack you purchased after signing up for your free account. DealDash operates on the "pay to participate/bid model" so it's required to first purchase bids. With that said, all customers are entitled to a 100% money back guarantee on their first bid pack.
I've gone ahead and issued a refund for this transaction. In the meantime, I'll leave the bids in your account. You can use these to bid on some of our great items, and you can even win these auctions without having it interfere with your refund!
For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work
Please let us know if there's anything else you need. We'll be happy to help.
I win some products that make it way worth the bidding. I enjoy it!

I hadn't got much sleep the other day but, I really wanted to win a couple of items so instead of setting the phone down and going to sleep I tried to persevere on. I accidentally ordered 600 more bids but that was ok, they were on sale. I should've gone to sleep then but, no I wanted that item! Well, then I accidentally ordered an item instead of bidding on it. It's such an easy mistake to make when you are exhausted. It wasn't a cheap item and I couldn't afford the item at the present time so now I'm frantic and making myself sick with worry. So I sent in a message explaining my situation and what had happened. I received a message right away stating someone would be getting in touch with me soon. I had checked my email the next day and sure enough a gentleman had contacted me and told me that he had taken care of refunding me my money and not to worry the item wasn't going to be shipped. I am ever grateful for not only their quick response time but their quick actions as well and also for how courteous the gentleman was who had helped me. Great job all the way around! Thank you so much!

I just saw an example where, early bidding on a $1000 Amazon Gift Card where the 10 second clock ticked down, ran out to 0:00 and then the next bid was accepted 3 seconds later. Another time it was 6 seconds after the bid ran out! My opinion is they wouldn't let the clock run out. The customer rep blamed it on my computer's lag time when I emailed them, but it was shown on their clock as the bids were made. 7/13/13 $1000 Amazon gift card starting about 12:30pm CST. One bid was at 10:51:24 and the next was at 10:51:37 (PST) 13 seconds later! Then there was another one at 10:52:13 with the next bid at 10:52:29 16 seconds later. I saw the countdown clock go to 0:00 then there was another bid! I couldn't believe it! I also saw where 2 people came in at the same amount. They show the avatar of each bidder and there were 2 that came in at 62 cents. How does that happen when the bid is increased by 1 cent for each bit? Stay Away. Rip Off. They agreed to refund the full amount I paid for bids because I just signed up yesterday.

I'm sorry for the negative experience and glad you received your refund. From your message it sounds like there was heavy network delays on the site therefore it was not functioning normally.
I discovered I was charged for bids I did not purchase. Your customer handled this situation quickly. I am a new deal dash customer. And I am happy bthat this was handled.

Bid on auctions and save. All auctions start at $0 with no minimum price reserve. Everything must go! DealDash is the fair and honest bidding site. Founded in 2009, millions of bidders have enjoyed Deal Dash auctions since.
Established in 2009, DealDash is the longest operating site of its kind in the United States. Before DealDash was founded, millions of Americans tried out 1st generation bidding fee auctions. These first generation auctions left many people with a poor experience.
After one such letdown experience, spending $50 on a pay-to-participate auction site with nothing to show for it, our founder decided to create a fair and honest alternative to bidding fee auctions, where losing bidders don’t have to lose the money they spent bidding. That is how Deal Dash was born in 2009. Today, over 1,000 brand named products are discovered and won by customers every day!
Bid in our online auctions to catch a deal and if you don't win the auction, you can buy it now and keep on bidding!
Hi Joan,
Thank you for getting in touch. At DealDash, we strive to provide a great customer experience. We only work with brands that offer excellent quality products, and we always list the products at the same price as you will find them on the brands' official websites and Amazon.com listings.
I'm sorry to hear you were not happy with the quality of the products. We definitely appreciate customer feedback, and we'll look into it.
I would also like to remind you that DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase, and a second chance guarantee. If you try us out and don't win an auction with your first bid pack, we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance at winning a great deal.
If you're still not satisfied with your DealDash shopping experience, we'll be happy to refund your first bid pack purchase (within 90 days of purchase), no questions asked. You can even keep the bids in your account and items you may have won.
If you have any further concerns, you can always give us a call on our toll free number: 855 455 3325
