Doordash didn't recognize a valid gift card that I applied to an order. OK, I cancelled the order and received an email confirmation of that confirmation. Doordash did not cancel the order with the local company and charged my card. I cancelled for that reason within 1 minute of placing the order and they only refunded me for 75% of the charge and put the balance on credit. I called and reminded them I have used doordash 2 times in the last 5 years and will never use them again...no desire to engage from their side so I will call this out to my bank as FRAUD, which it truly is. Bogus for doordash to rely on draconian "fix the glitch" methods to make money. Wish I could give them zero stars.
Ordered my food at 5:20, supposed to be here at 6:15. Received call from driver at 6:12 saying he didn't see address, so gave h entrance road address to our small subdivision. I called him at 6:50 since hadn't arrived yet. Claimed he had car trouble and just leaving but to call customer service since he couldn't see address and try to get refund... uh, ok. So, called right after, been on hold since (Almost an hour now). Food showed up, cold as ice. Microwaved burger, oven fries. Kids, they are Mac n cheese long ago, so their food in fridge now. Finally they picked up after almost an hour on hold. Indian lady answers, saying system down. After 3 times trying to understand her, she said after system up, look at order and be compensated (I think/hope that's what she said). What a pain. Never again.
Walmart Grocery hired Door Dash to deliver groceries on 2/5/21, It was a sunny day, 42 degrees. The order form clearly stated that the apartment was on the 2nd floor, and the grocery order contained several perishable items that required refrigeration.
While the delivery was made within the two hour "express" window, the driver left the groceries on an outdoor landing at the building entrance. He did not even bother to come inside. Due to a health issue, I cannot leave my apartment; that's why I used Walmart. After talking with Walmart employees for over one hour in an attempt to have the driver come back to move the groceries to the apartment noted on the order form, I gave up. This is the last time I use Walmart grocery.
Warning to Walmart Grocery customers: Walmart refuses liability for grocery delivery when another company delivers for them.

Awful customer service. I had an order almost an hour late, and I was able to watch my driver drive all over the city with my food while I was at home with a child waiting on our food. I reached out to customer service about the order, and after waiting about 5 minutes for the chat to even be available, I was connected to someone who basically just gave me a status update on where the driver was. At that point, they were at my house delivering the food, so I was preoccupied with that, and while I was doing that, the customer service representative closed the chat and considered the matter resolved. My food was cold, the ice in my drink was melted, and the driver still received my 20% tip, no apologies given, and no follow up from DoorDash. I'll be ordering from GrubHub from now on.
A lot of male drivers use women's names so the customer expects a woman to deliver their food but a male shows up instead. When I asked one of the guys about this, he said he just had a sex change. If I hadn't included his tip in with my food order I wouldn't have tipped the flippant delivery man at all. From now on, if a restaurant uses DoorDash I won't be getting their food delivered.
This poses a danger to female customers and is dishonest. DoorDash should prohibit such practices by their drivers but apparently they don't.
So, I order some beer that was advertised as being in stock. However, apparently it was not - but they didn't even tell me it wasn't. They just substituted it for some other beer that I did not want and would never drink, it's not even the same type. And the dasher brings me the substitution without my approval or knowledge, and I get charged for it and there's nothing I can do about it. No recourse, nothing. No ability to exchange or return or anything at all.
So I don't have the beer that I wanted for a special event, I have some other stuff that I have zero use for and just gave it to the guys that are doing some construction work at my house. Several calls to customer service got no resolution, or even an explanation of why it happened or how they could keep it from happening again. Of course no refund. I was in awe of how actually terrible this service is from start to finish. I would've never used it had I known this was the case.

It is virtually impossible to reach anyone either by phone or by chat. I made an order with doordash and they sent my order to the wrong address. The driver barely could speak English and he just kept saying they sent me to Wendy's. I tried to explain to all he had the wrong address but he just hung up on me and that's the last I've heard of him and the cheesesteaks ordered. I will never use doordash again
Very disappointed with this service... waited over an hour and 40 minutes for cold food that we had to go down to the lobby of the hotel to pickup ourselves because the driver refused to come to the door of our hotel room, despite receiving a nice tip... and despite not being informed beforehand that hotel room delivery was not permitted. Not sure if this is company policy or driver discretion but it is ridiculous. The food would have been great if the driver would have simply delivered it hot from only five minutes away from our location. Sad that the restaurants don't seem to have any control over their food and reputation once the "DoorDash" driver gets ahold of it... NEVER AGAIN! It would have been more enjoyable to just open the window of my hotel room and watch that $50 float away in to thin air...
In the past month alone Dorr Dash has messed up on 3 orders. One of them a pizza order from Little Ceasars, they didn't even show up to pick up the pizzas! Overall they've messed up at least 5 orders. Then they try to stick you with a credit and not a refund. You have to jump through hoops to get a refund. I'm Door Dash done!
Very poor service. They delivered the wrong order. I called customer service and they agreed to re-deliver the order. The same, incorrect order was delivered the second time. I called customer service once again, and they said that my only option was DoorDash credit, which is not helpful since I will never be ordering from them again. Moreover, the customer service rep was rude and apathetic. I strongly recommend that others use a different delivery service.
The delivery person got lost and then CANCELED my order. I called the company and they acted like they were doing me a favor by refunding my money (for food I never got- gee thanks!). They offered nothing more. So, after 2 hours of waiting for food that never arrived, 20 mins on the phone with "customer service" to find out what happened, their solution was for me to start over with another order at full price. Seriously? Why would I ever use this service again? TERRIBLE customer service. This was my first order with them too. Uggg.
My sister placed a order for me from Chills for my birthday. I never received anything but she got confirmation that the order was delivered and it never was. So now she has to go through the whole process of getting a refund. And why send a confirmation if I never received the order? Very disappointed.:-( I wouldn't recommend this app.

So I ordered 21$ worth of food and my whole order was completely wrong. Yes I understand that it is not door dash fault there selfs but when I kept trying to get my issue resolved they said the issue couldn't be refunded even though my order was completely incorrect. I had to contact support again and call and they ended up giving me 3.24$ thats it. For a complete order missing all items. Door dash is simple to order food but they are started to go down hill bad. A ton of issues constantly.
DoorDash unexpectedly terminated my account when to my knowledge I didn't do anything wrong (I was given no explanation as to why). I called customer support and was able to get my account working again but have since deleted the app, there are so many better, quicker, cheaper and more accommodating ones out there so why bother with DoorDash?
This is my doordash deliverer. I sent them the right address to deliver the food but they have mistaken the wrong location for another business even though I wrote down the business name! They didn't give me a text or call that it was delivered, I was disappointed when I found out it was sent to another location.

Wow, so bad... I really gave it a few legitimate tries, too. They ruined Mother's Day with their non-communication and miscommunication, then last night was the last straw. Order placed, confirmed, picked up, an hour late, then after absolutely no legitimate communication from Doordash at all, I get a text from them stating that the order is cancelled. I'm now a confirmed GrubHubber.
My excitement when I discovered Door Dash was eventually filled with deep disappointment when I had one occasion after another of incorrect orders, my order being given to the incorrect location or even not getting my food AT ALL. I gave Door Dash another chance countless times only to have the same situations keep occurring endlessly. I tip very generously when it comes to receiving services from corporations. Especially during the pandemic which I'm sure is very rough on the hard working staff. But in the end, it just wasn't worth the money when I knew each time I ordered was most likely not going to end well. I enjoyed the convenience and the staff was always very nice. So, it saddens me to feel the need to go elsewhere. Now that I discovered that a lot of the companies Door Dash delivers to do their own delivery, I'm going to try this out instead and see how things go. Until then, I think I need to take a break from Door Dash.
Never again! Canceled order, even says "cancel" on the order. When I disputed it, they stated it was never canceled. Enjoy the free money, because no one in this household or anyone that will listen to me vent will use you again! No stars! This thing made me select at least one star, that is too good for this company!

Absolutely horrible. Obviously its about the money for the drivers cause once they get paid they could careless. The Food is never delivered when it's supposed to be and when you talk to the drivers it always some excuse or they say call the restaurant I'm on another delivery now. That's it Never again... I'll continue to use Grubhub. I get my when it Says it's going to be delivered and it's still warm if not hot. Door dash officially SUCKS and they aren't going to change anything so this will continue to be their way of business.
Me as a driver for doordash. They exspect you to deliver food 12 miles away for 3 dollars. Also if you dont take those orders they want to pause your dash or just end your dash. The base rate for a delivery is only 2.75 in they exspect us to use our car and gas not happening. Customer support is a $#*!ing joke also they don't care about your concern they just dismiss you and you have to fight to get half pay. Doordash is a very underhanded company. They steal your tips and don't ever have any incentives to do delivery you might make 10 to 12 an hr at most and then by the time you pay for gas you work for less then min wage
Horrendous! And a rip-off! Used to be ok during covid lockdown, but now they deliver late, cold food, and many times they cancel your oder after 1 hour waiting. The food arrives not well packed and without the original receipt. Be aware - I actually found out that the prices are much higher than what the restaurant charges! So, you pay the pass, the tip, and extra 20% per oder! It's more reliable and much cheaper to order directly from the restaurant!
I have ordered from them many of times and they are super rude, take forever, and the food always arrives cold. The app takes forever to pick a dasher ( I mean 1 hour minimum most of the time) and their delivery fee is not worth the wait.
DoorDash is the worst food delivery option. I have had similar experiences 3 times in just last month. It took double the estimated time AFTER the food was picked up from the store. And the order was wrong. There's no phone number to call. The online chat is a joke. They ask for all the information instead of being able to look up all my details after providing my account information. They told me I was a lier because the restaurant said they got the order right even though I told them it was wrong. They would not refund or credit for my order. And this happens more often. Bad Bad Bad.
I ordered Chipotle through DoorDash and the food arrived 45 minutes later than the estimate. I called and the service representative said there was nothing he could do as the delivery is through Chipotle. I called Chipotle and they said there is nothing they can do because delivery is handled by DoorDash. I called DoorDash back and was told they would escalate it to Chipotle. The food arrived and it was cold. Cold as if it had been in a refrigerator! No one is willing to resolve this! The runaround by BOTH of these companies is ridiculous. Stay away from DoorDash! Heck, stay away from Chipotle as well if they won't take responsibility for their delivery service. I'm out!
I put an order in during the morning hours for delivery in the evening. The order was accepted and I heard nothing all day until shortly before the dinner was to be delivered. They canceled it because they were "unable to process" it. If you are counting on getting what you ordered, use another provider.
Tried to change the delivery time. Doordash makes you cancel it instead and order again. But it then did not allow me to cancel the later order. When I tried, they took fifteen minutes to talk me out of it? Then said they couldn't help and weren't able to refund (keep in mind this was after I ordered the food again in order to get it earlier). Now I have two deliveries and no help from Doordash.
