Door-dash is the best ever food ordering platform. Compared to their competitors they have more restaurants listed and have better customer service. They give good offers too. I got my services fees reduced and got discount too (attached picture) Recommended
DoorDash = Cold Food The weather hasn't even gotten really cold yet. But since DoorDash drivers don't use thermal bags properly for most of the deliveries I have received, I get cold food. I've seen, on multiple occasions, the driver will take my pizza off the back seat of his car and put it in a thermal bag to bring it up to the door. Too often I get the pizza handed to me in the pizza box after having never been in a thermal bag. I've stopped ordering online for some restaurants because they use DoorDash. All this and you tip before delivery, so you are tipping for cold food.
WARNING: Be careful ordering through their app or you could get stuck paying for something you never received. My app was set to "Pick Up" orders instead of "Delivery," which I didn't realize when I placed an order (I have never used DoorDash for pick up). I realized my mistake immediately and canceled the order through the app. Then, I placed a duplicate order for "Delivery." When I was tracking my delivery, I noticed that the "Pick Up" order was still active. The only option that order had at that point was to call the restaurant, which I did. I called them to make sure that the "Pick Up" order was canceled and that the "Delivery" order was replaced with it. However, I was still charged for the "Pick Up" order. DoorDash says they can't refund me because a restaurant can't cancel an order. But, I canceled it on the app first and when that didn't work, I immediately performed the second option I was given (calling the restaurant). Through three different interactions with DoorDash customer service, they still won't refund my money for a meal I never received, that they never had to pay a driver for and that the restaurant never had to make. Be careful. They do not care about their customers.

Never had a problem with them before. So here's what happened. I put in my instructions on how to find my apartment. Noone has had a problem. I get food all the time from them. I get a call from a man when my dasher's name was Alena. S girl
I dont know if he was drunk or what but he told me I was stupid and gave the wrong directions and I'm trying to be nice and explain to him that I'm the only building that is beside the leasing office. I get a notice saying my delivery has been made and I dont have anything so I call the number back and it's the man again telling me I was stupid and didn't know directions from a hole in the ground and I see this woman walking up with my food and I told the guy he didn't need to be rude. The woman comes up and I asked her who the man on the phone was and she said it's her husband. I told her that was extremely unprofessional and made me feel very unsafe and uncomfortable and he revs up his truck and she apologizes and runs to the truck as he's yelling profanities at me with my daughter standing beside me who is 6 years old. I tried to call door dash and it said due to covid that I would have to do support chat and all it is is a rating. Reported to law enforcement. This is extremely unsafe. You need to do better.

This was my first time ordering with Doordash, and needless to say it is also my LAST time! I was not feeling well but my granddaughter was hungry, so I decided to have some Oishii Teriyaki in West Sacramento delivered through Doordash. I live in a pretty big mobile home park which has individual assigned unit numbers. And even though I had listed my unit number on the delivery address, I was still concerned that the driver would have a problem locating my house. So when the ETA had come and gone, I looked on the order tracking and can see that the driver, Alonza, has picked up my food order and already left the restaurant. So at this point, I'm looking out my windows for him. I then realize I better get my phone in case he calls and saw that he already called! So I immediately called him back but he didn't pick up. I left him a voicemail and told him what my unit number was but he chose to ignore me. He never called me back, nor did I ever get my food. I contacted Doordash customer service who said they'd refund my money back to my bank account. At first they tried to give me credit for a future order! No thanks! So I'll be checking my account to make sure they follow through! I hope their driver Alonza enjoyed my food!

I'm soooooo pissed off at doordash! Back in January, I ordered using them. When I got my food, it was cold and looked like someone picked at it, and my drink was only 3/4 full and had floaties in it. So, I called doordash and asked for my money back and to close my account in its entirety and lose my debit card info. They said they would and I thought nothing of it. For the next 3 mos, they charged me $9.99 for a subscription to dash pass that I never signed up for and somehow still had my debit card info! So I've called them multiple times. Over a month ago, they were supposed to refund all 3 charges within 3-5 business days. Over a month goes by without refund, so I call back again about 2 weeks ago and get emails saying they will refund the charges in 3-5 business days. Youd think now that I have hard proof it would happen, right? Nope. Been on the phone for over 2 hrs with an outsourced call center with people with heavy Tagalog accents who are difficult to understand, and all they want to do is give me excuses and say that it was my fault for not noticing I was being charged sooner, and that they are not obligated to refund my money! I already it in writing and the phone call recorded! WTF?! Moral of the story, use anyone but doordash! They are the absolute worst!

I recently decided to get my groceries delivered from Walmart. I live in Deltona Florida.
I ordered my groceries and my order never showed up. I called Walmart and was informed that DoorDash actually delivers for Walmart. Walmart fills the order and a DoorDash driver picks it up and delivers it to the customer.
So, I call Doordash and get someone from India who barely speaks English and they inform me that I cancelled my order. I didn't cancel my order. If I had cancelled my order why would I bother putting my self through the misery of contacting an outsourced overseas rep that has NO CLUE what is going on?
I contacted Walmart again and they inform me that the Doordash driver cancelled the pickup and never showed up.
I decided to do a Google search on Doordash delivering for Walmart and there are numerous blogs about how Doordash drivers hate delivering for Walmart and most of them refuse to deliver for Walmart when prompted. Doordash drivers don't want to "do all of that work" and then don't even get a tip.
What a joke this company is. I will NEVER use Doordash and I am going to put my review on every available review spot on the internet. I have cancelled my delivery with Walmart as well.
The level of unprofessionalism is beyond comprehension and whomever you are hiring isn't worthy of the job let alone a tip.

I've used DoorDash in the past and never had an issue or asked for a refund. However this last time it took about an hour and a half for delivery ( initially ETA 35ish minutes) and the gentlemen who delivered the food was rude. He called me and told me to come out side and get the food and I informed him there are two entrances in the building and I was in the back ( I had the suit number and directions typed how to get to where I was in the delivery information), and he had to come back to me. He stated," no I'm in the front come get it. " I Informed him that I was far from that entrance and to not leave the food up there ( it literally would take me 10 minutes to walk to the front and back) plus I was on crutches and could not walk there due to an injury. He said fine with an attitude and left it in the front anyways. So someone had to walk it back to me because as stated prior I was incapable of holding the back and walking due to my use of crutches. When I reached out for a refund / credit for food being really late, cold, and the gentleman being an a** in general with not following instructions and completely disregarding my temporary walking incapabilities, they have not responded back to me since the 19th. I could understand the hesitation to respond if I always complained about an issue but as stated, I've never done a complaint before. I would highly suggest not using DoorDash for any delivery needs. Grub Hub and Uber Eats are much better options.

First of all DoorDash is over priced, second the way the app is set up for ordering is stupid if the person picking up the order can't see exactly what they are suppose to get before they leave. People are human we all make mistakes dashers should be double checking that the order is correct. Further more they should not be allowed to accept multiple dashes at once especially if they are delivering hot/cooked/already made food. Anyone ordering in this manner would want their stuff fresh. Those hot bags do not work while you ride around dropping off multiple different orders. Also the people who review complaints for missing/wrong items or you received someone else's order, whatever it is that goes wrong when you're spending your hard earned money, are the very worst at reconciling issues. They don't fully do their job to actually help the customers. And if it wasn't for the costumers this whole DoorDash wouldn't be able to work and pay your bills that goes for anyone who works for DoorDash, learn costumer service. Not saying that some costumers aren't wrong, but do your job before not actually helping those that are right. This company should be shut down for how bad they operate and for how they are truly getting over on people.

Worst driving delivery service I have EVER experienced.
The driver picked up someone else's coffee order and when we met outside of my apartment, and I told her that wasn't my order, she kept saying "This is what they gave me" over and over again.
She made me call the store on the spot, came WAY too close in contact with me & every time I kept backing away, she kept walking towards me. Complete oblivious that we are in the middle of a pandemic! Over the phone, the coffee shop employee stated, that everyone's drinks/orders are placed on a rack for Doordash pickups where it CLEARLY states the customer's name. She was entirely unproffesional & was yelling who was going to pay her, when this was entirely the driver's fault.
I called DoorDash's customer service team to see if they could send another driver to pick up my order and they said they couldn't do that. The order had already been placed & they could not authorize another driver. I thought that was entirely unprofessional & inconvenient for me, their PAYING customer. Seriously, worst customer service I've ever experienced.
I ended up walking 4 miles to get my coffee, that the wonderful shop prepared again for me, fresh. After speaking with DoorDash customer service again for a refund, they finally gave me a delivery fee refund, which I appreciated since I still received my coffee, but the hassle for that minimal of a refund will never make me use their services again.
Never ever use DoorDash. Absolute WORST delivery company out there.

Ordered from a local resteraunt that apparently uses doordash. Received a phone message that driver was here and waited 5 minutes but had to leave because she couldn't find my building and had another delivery and would not be able to come back. She said I could call her and maybe we could meet somewhere so she could give me my food order. SERIOUSLY!! I called back and there was no answer, I left a message that the bldg and unit was provided and is shown on my receipt and NO i would not be meeting her anywhere she needed to come back. She returned a text that said I needed to call customer service and they could refund my money. Since i ordered through the restaurant I called them and they credited my account. I also called doordash to find out where my food was, they tracked down the driver and she came back. This time she texted and said I'm here. I told her to bring the food up to my unit. She said she couldn't find the bldg, after yet again providing the details. I don't live in a complicated complex, its one street straight up and down. This delivery person wad lazy and hateful and probably would have taken the food home for herself if I hadn't pushed the issue.

Tonight, we ordered a dinner from Chili's Morrisville for us and our kids. I ordered through the Chili's app. We paid for the order including food, delivery charge and driver tip. It should be noted that there is no delivery choice on the Chili's app; it has only two options – curbside pick up or delivery. When the order came, it was missing the kids' food, so I called Chili's trying to get it re-delivered. The lady on the phone said that I ordered through Door Dash and that I should address any issues directly with Door Dash. Chili's doesn't care and wouldn't do anything. I called Door Dash. Silly me. They said that because I ordered through Chili's, they couldn't issue a refund. They also refused to re-deliver because supposedly Chili's wouldn't pick up the phone when Door Dash called, and they refused to try again. Both Chili's and Door Dash suggested that we drive over and pick up the missing food (while the delivered food was getting cold and the kids were hungry and we paid for the delivery and driver tip). All we wanted was to have a nice family dinner. I've never experienced more atrocious service, more apathetic responses, or more colossal stupidity in my life, and I've had a pretty fulsome life. No more Door Dash deliveries, only if a restaurant delivers themselves.

I had a 4.92 customer rating with somewhere around 30 above and beyond marks. Then two days after a couple of wks of 1)orders not being in merchants systems when I arrived, 2) app freezing, 3) being sent to pick up where there was no restaurant period 4)being made to feel like I had to accept high mile low pay orders for ex. $2.50 for 16 miles and not drive back miles 5) missing pay totaling $81. 00. 6) not being able to get support by phone or chat for two wks for help when any of these issues. Then finally I did reach dasher support by phone one night after letting the phone ring for 40 to 45 minutes I reported my issues that I had already reported several times by email and leaving chat messages. I told the support person about the missing money and after checking she stated I was correct and that I would be receiving the money but instead two days later my account was deactivated and my dasher direct visa card blocked with my money not the $81 but money previously earned working for doordash. I am very disappointed with them. I stuck it out with them through their absence and mistakes, glitches etc and then when they could gain $ from deactivating me that's just what they did!
Tip for consumers:
Do not get the Direct Dasher Visa because Doordash can block your access to your own money earned with working for them.

Door Dash went into my bank account 4 days AFTER I made a purchase and took not only the $13.67 I had already paid at the time the order was placed, but an ADDITIONAL $30.80 for items I was refunded for (AT THE STORE before checkout) that were not in stock at dollar general. My total was $13.67, so I was refunded the balance of the $30.80. Apparently the dasher put in my items weren't available, refunded me, then kept the items for herself and then door dash got the updated receipt a few days later and charged ME for items I never received. They didn't even notify me of any discrepancies. I'm disabled and on a fixed income. I went online to re-up my son's lunch money acct and my card was declined because they STOLE every cent out of my acct for a $13.67 order I ALREADY PAID FOR! They said I'll get the $13.67 back in 5-7 business days. That's 100% theft. Watch your acct, because they can go in and take what they want, when they want, at any time, WITHOUT your knowledge or authorization. I'll be reporting them to my bank for fraud and contacting a lawyer for theft by deception.

I decided to order some wings the other day. I didnt get my complete order and called within 5 mins of delivery. The lady that I spoke to wanted to give me $7 as compensation for a $40 order. I ended up speaking to another person after calling back because she hung up on me when I said that was unacceptable. The sencond person wanted to refu. D me $14. After 30 minutes of going back and forth I deleted the app and said I would cut my losses. About 2 hours later my debit card was charged agin for the 38.58. I called back again. The rep told me that my card was not charged agin so I offered to send a screen shot. I was redirected to my bank by her and she acted as though she didnt have time to be bothered. Saturday morning I called again because at this point I had paid almost $80dollars for the wings. She said to send in the screen shots of my account. Well its now Sunday and I have almost $80 out of my account for regular chicken wings. After checking the account again I have received the $14 credit but still was charged twice for the original order. Customer's beware! I am mortified by what has taken place. Especially during this pandemic when people are unemployed and counting their money. I think this is crazy! Of course they said someone would call me back but no call back has happened.
