Horrid customer service all the time. Missed orders. Never help been hung up on chats ended. Rude communication
I made an order and couldn't change the order a sec after since they took forever to respond and locate my order. Will not use again!
Delivery people are awesome, the company not so much. Two orders and I am done! Customer Service is awful! Too bad, great idea.

After multiple phone calls to customer service and 3 hours, order cancelled. They could care less. No compensation offered.
We order dinner this evening from one of our favorite restaurants. Or so we had thought. We placed a pickup order through the DoorDash app at 4:05pm. We waited a good 15 minutes before we notice the order had not even been confirmed through the app, getting a text stating the restaurant was busy and it was taking a little longer to confirm than usual. Okay, I get it. 5 more minutes passes and nothing so I get into the app to report an issue. I report it hasn't been confirmed and within seconds after that, I get the notification stating it'll still be ready at the original pickup time. That's only 10 minutes away so that's perfect. I turn on my location services so the restaurant knows we will be there soon. We pull up, no cars, no lights. Nothing. The restaurant is CLOSED! So not only did DoorDash pull a fast one saying it was confirmed with the restaurant, they took the ONLY MONEY WE HAD FOR DINNER THAT NIGHT on an order from a restaurant that wasn't open.
Again, I opened the chat. This time I tell "Tarun R" the problem, they apologize for the inconvenience. Immediately after they say "I see that the order was ready, you can visit the store and pickup the order." I'm sorry but what? Did you not read where I said the restaurant was closed? They state they have fully documented the details so the feedback can be reviewed to better avoid an issue like this in the future. They then proceed to state they issued a refund for the order amount plus extra credits for the hassle. As soon as I questioned the representative of my refund would be immediate, because I had a family to feed and spent our dinner money on a restaurant that wasn't even open, he shut the chat down. Not even offering to maybe give us a free dinner because THEY screwed up and we're left eating peanut butter toast tonight. GREAT customer service there.
Forget this horrible service. Buy local and keep it within your community!
I ordered my food an hour ago. It notified me 30min ago that it was ready for pickup. I'm still waiting...

We ordered 2 pizzas from California Pizza Kitchen in Jacksonville Florida through DoorDash online. It did not take long for our pizza to arrive and the dasher knocked on the door as per my request. I went to the door to get my pizzas and he had set the bag upright at the door and when we opened the boxes of course both pizzas were rolled up at one end and all the toppings were stuck to the lids. Also, none of the boxes or bags were sealed up. So I called DoorDash and I spoke with a man that we had a language barrier between the 2 of us but we made it through and he called California Pizza Kitchen and replaced the order and assured me that I would have my pizza soon. The strange thing is, this man was literally singing to me on the phone and laughing in cutting up. Very unprofessional! About 40 minutes later I had not received a text or anything about the pizza so I called the restaurant and they assured me that they did receive another order and that it was marked DoorDash but no one had picked it up and it was sitting in the warming window. So I called DoorDash again to get another man that we have a language barrier, after looking at the account he found that the other man did not note the account at all and all he could see was the order that I had put in and that was delivered messed up. I asked him if he could dispatch someone to the restaurant to pick it up and he said that he could not do that from where he was at. Long story short my husband had to go out and get the pizza and bring it home! It was cold by the time he got home because it sat in their warming window too long. I had already tipped Patrick when I paid for my food and am very upset that he messed up our dinner and that my husband ended up having to go get the Pizza in the end!
I sent an email to the Contact email address and their reply back to me was that I did not report it in a timely manner and they said "sorry"… Seriously? I sent the email the night this happened! Do not use this service it is such a ripoff!

Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
