We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
I'm in the process of moving, so I wanted to use my rewards to take my daughters to see a movie. I knew I had rewards saved up, but didn't realize they expired, I know my bad. So I chatted with someone asking them to please credit me some of them back because I'm in the process of moving and I can't use any money on my credit cards until I close. Straight up told me no sorry company policy. Whatevs.
I rented a movie but was unable to watch it. Contacted them via their chatbox and was told to get ahold of Roku for a refund. Yet in the roku invoice it says to contact Fandango for refunds. Last time I am ever using Fandango. Will start renting my movies from Prime from now on, as they are way more reliable.
I used Fandango to buy 3 tickets. When I got to the theater only 2 printed. I could not get customer service on the line, so I ended up paying for another ticket. I then emailed fandango asking for a refund. They send an automatic reply saying my message will be looked into within 48 hours. A week goes by and then I get another email asking if I still have the problem. I respond multiple times but the email keeps bouncing back to me. All in all the customer service sucks. I have uninstalled Fandango and instead have gone to AMC stubs, and the Movie Tavern website.
I ordered tickets for a dinner theater movie and never got confirmation. I went online to Fandango and waited 11 min. To get to chat. The guy basically told me to bad go to another movie. The next movie was at 10 pm the perfect time for a dinner movie with your 2 kids.
The sucketh is large at Scamdango... Unless you are looking for movie times, stay away. DO NOT buy gift cards from or to use ON Fandango. I went to use a $25 gift card I had received from my sister, and after using two different browsers I continued to where the sale was finalized only to receive "Internal Site Error" messages. As an added "bonus" there was a $1.35 "convenience fee" on each ticket, which amounts to a %19 charge per ticket. That means 19% of the card I will never get to use. I tried "Live Chat" for assistance. When I got on I was 31st in the queue (sounds like lots of problems at Fandango) and a 19-20 minute wait time. After 35 minutes I got hold of someone (not entirely sure it was a real person to start with) but by then it was... time to go to the movie, where I got to lay out $25 REAL dollars for tickets although I had a gift card... never again.

Purchased tix for the wrong time. Charged a $23 Convenience Fee. Was told by the live chat operator that it could not be refunded; this is why there is a "review your order" prior to purchase AND if I need to review their policies to click on the link attached. Then when I asked to SPEAK to a manager, the operator said ok, they'll find a manager for me. Then some how i was mysteriously disconnected.
I ordered 2 tickets for a saturday showing. I went to pick up the tickets and they were for friday and it was for 4 tickets. They would not do anything about it, so I guess Im out. I will never use them again. I wish I would have read reviews first.
I had recently bought movie tickets on Fandango but was unable to make the show on time. My internet and phone was out so I couldn't call or use the web to request an exchange before their 2 hour cutoff. I contacted "customer service" and was basically told "too bad".
That's the last time I use them.
No Waiting In LIne - Fandango is the best invention EVER. I love how I can purchase tix online and when I arrive at the theatre, head straight towards the kiosks (pass the long lines) to get my tickets printed. Awesome! =)
Fandango double charged me for movie tickets. After the movie I went to dinner pulled up my bank account to find the double charge. I called them they said they'd be put in a ticket to a supervisor. Less than 24 hours later I got an email saying rhey would not refund me for the double charge, stating that I needed to call before showtime to be refunded. The problem is THEY screwed up and double charged me. I didn't just buy a ticket and not ho. So I disputed the charge with my bank and will be getting my money back and Fandango will never see another dime from our family.
Upon looking on facebook this is not an isolated incident. Tons of customers for wearing reasons not being refunded for something that isn't their fault. I even saw one where the guy is theater caught fire and they couldn't physically show the movie fandango told him "sorry no refunds"
Screw Fandango
Fandango has horrible customer service! You cannot get in contact with anyone and when you finally do that are completely unhelpful! I Requested a refund over a month ago and never received it. When i FINALLY got to speak with someone i was told they showed the refund was already processed! WRONG! I never received anything. They are liars and thieves. On top of all of this i was told i had to screenshot my bank account and send it to them to prove it was never received. Sounds like bs to me. How does that prove anything when I cannot prove that the credit card I used is connected to that account? ENRAGED!
We bought tickets for a movie the Fandango did not have it listed as a Sensory move for children with sensory issues. If we had know we would have bought tickets for a different time. We where unable to hear the move. Fandango said it was not there problem. I will never buy tickets from them again.
Sitting here in England trying to book tickets to see Star Wars in December when I go over to see my girlfriend. Twice I've tried booking via this site. Once in work and once at home. In work I used three different browsers going into their site via their homepage and search engine egine results with no luck. From home using Chrome directly via their front page. In all cases I got a 502 error meaning their servers were failing. Extremely disappointed.

I bought a movie with a free movie voucher on it. Set my date and paid the convenience fee. Then I find out I have a birthday dinner the same day. I asked customer service to change the date for me. They refunded my $2 and took my ticket. Thanks for ruining my birthday fandango!
The grand kids put money on a fandango gift card. Sent five minutes generating and printing the ticket went to the theater and was told I had to stand in the line the fandango ticket is the same as a credit card. The ticket needed scanned ok I presented the ticket along with my reward card and was told reward card is void when using Fandango. So I spent more time and printing cost for the ticket lost reward credits. Attempted to get a credit back to the kids for the gift money and fandango said no refunds and hung up. Not sure why fandango exists
Not sure why they even have a customer service line. They will just say they will have someone email you and you will never receive anything. Unfortunately the only way to get your money back is to dispute the charge.
Why buy from them when you can buy directly from the theate, terrible customer service and policy. I could not get credit or a refund when my son pur the wrong movie theater ticket. Clearly the tickets didn't get scanned and we purchased 20 minutes before the movie started
Stay away from Fandango! I've never had problems purchasing tickets online, but purchasing a gift card... whole other story! My friend never received the gift card they "sent in the mail". Spent several hours in live chats over SEVERAL ocassions and each time, someone told me something different! Originally, they offered to change my gift card into digital format so I could email. Then, they said that wasn't possible. Then they tell me they can refund me. And THEN, they turn around and say no! Certainly they can see that no money was used on this invisible gift card, cancel the card, and then send me a digital format. Totally distrust them and will not use in the future, even for movie tickets. Not to mention, their customer service reps were very rude. So unfortunate!
I normally like to praise, but here I cannot. We received a Fandango movie gift card as a gift from our kids. Upon our attempt to redeem the card and secure a movie time we found it to be a difficult process. Not being able to process our online request we had to call for support. Calling the support line meant 20 minutes of waiting and for all of this we are being charged a $3.40 "convenience fee". Really! NEVER will I give the gift of a Fandango movie
I purchased three tickets, to a show 45 min before showtime, I was charged a fee to purchase online. The ticket office closed before I could notify them that I could not make the movie. I contacted customer service the next day and was told, because I purchased the tickets in the two hour window I could not get a refund or exchange the tickets for another show. The customer service person ended the chat while I was typing. I joined the VIP membership that is worthless and lost over 30 dollars.
Made a simple mistake on a website purchase for a special attraction weeks into the future. Asked for an exchange less than 24 hours after purchase, for another special attraction, same theater, same price, different date. I did not want a refund, just an exchange. Fandango required me to purchase the correct tickets, then they would "review" my request for refund. They refused a simple exchange (said "we can't do that). Nor would they guarantee a refund if I gave them an additional $34.
Gratefully, the theater involved was more than happy to do the exchange. And told me that they sell the same special attraction tickets as Fandango WITHOUT the $2/ticket fee.
NEVER AGAIN FANDANGO. Terrible customer service policies.

They ripped me off for $70 when I accidentally clicked on the wrong movie. I emailed them for a refund right away but they claim to have never gotten my email. When I didn't recieve any response from my email by the next day I called and they told me they could not refund the money because it was under 90 minutes before the movie.
Accidentally ordered tickets for the wrong movie theater, but no one is answering my online support request. The phone number ( 1-800-FANDANGO) provided in the first email response (just a generic message & not an actually reply to my question) generates a busy tone immediately without ringing once.

Avoid. Look online at how many others have been scammed (see their reviews).

I purchased two tickets an hour before the show. On my way to the show I was in a car accident that killed my boyfriend. Fandango will not return my money because that's not a good enough reason to miss a movie
