We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
Fandango customer service is a joke. Not even remotely customer friendly. There is no reason this company should exist. Why a movie theater would essentially outsource their customer service function to Fandango when someone wants to purchase tickets online is a mystery.
OMG what a rip off. I had a coupon code and didn't place it. Well I can't cancel the purchase and re-do it. And because I use reward from theater, I can't rectify it and neither can the theater. How can I give zero stars? She actually suggested I use it on another ticket for the same movie. WTF... and just what, give to random person? You select seats. Come here random strange child and sit beside me? Yep, complain on your social media. Fandango is crap!
Purchased tickets to a 7:30 showing of avengers on May 2nd. This is the date that was shown on the confirmation screen when I submitted the purchase. Open email, and lo and behold, tickets are for May 1. Thanks to Fandango's ridiculous refund policy, I cannot get a refund because they sent me tickets to the incorrect day which is not 2 hours before showtime. Tried to get customer service to rectify this, apparently Fandango believes that I should be responsible for their %%^&&% web code that shows a confirmation screen for the wrong product. Hopefully the theater will help me out when I speak with them, or else its a chargeback for you Fandango, fix your $#*!ty web code so that the product on the confirmation screen is the same as what comes in the email.
I would have loved to have written a review on how the movie "Don't Breathe" was. Problem is i didn't see it! I ordered my tickets on Fandango.com but selected the wrong movie theater. When I got to the movie theater that I thought I'd purchased tickets for, I was informed that I was at the wrong theater. I immediately logged on to my Fandango account and requested a credit so I could purchase tickets for the correct movie theater. I was told that because it was more than 2 hours prior to the start time of the movie, I was unable to to receive a refund or exchange. I contacted customer service and the rude representative told me there was nothing they could do. True enough it was my mistake in choosing the wrong theater, but I'm only human and I'm sure I'm not the first person that has done that and I'm sure I certainly won't be the last. Either way I was out of money and was not able to see this movie.
I purchased two tickets to a movie a little more than an hour before the show and was sold two tickets to a show in Maryland. I was in New York! I immediately contacted customer service and was told that no refunds could be given within 90 minutes of a show. I wish I would've known that before. I tried to at least get a credit but was told no. Never again. Moviefone or Movietickets.com next time
Why is it so hard to get help from fandango! I had money on my fandangonow account and it disappeared. Try to call and accepted the call back option. They never called me back. Called again and stayed on the phone for an hour. Took the call back option and again never called me back. I am writing this review while on hold with them.
Stupid Customer Service at Fandango. We live in Kansas City and accidentally purchased movie tickets to a theater in Pennsylvania. Called fandango immediately to try and correct the problem, but they held to their no refund policy within two hours of showtime. C'mon, really? $24 for tickets to a movie we obviously can't be at. NEVER TRUST THEM!
On Monday I ordered tickets to see a movie for Wednesday (today). Today I go to check the tickets to double check them and in horror I realize they were for Monday! They cannot give me a refund even though it was them who scammed me. My issue got escalated but I doubt anything will happen. I will NOT use Fandango again because of this.

Do not use fandango. Horrible customer service and lies. I'm out 42 dollars and they disconnect the help line before you get resolution. Hair was the so called customer service rep and he lied to me about the theatre response. I spoke with the theatre after I was off the phone with him and they said the exact opposite of what he said
Their site malfunctioned telling me that I wasn't being charged. It charged me for tickets all 3 times with an error message. I returned the tickets but they kept the service fee. I contacted their live chat, and they sent "internal email" to request I get my money back. They were supposed to contact me w/in 3-5 days. 10 days later, nothing. I tried to chat again. Agent disconnected on me. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!
Bought two tickets for a matinee show on 8/6/2016 through PayPal. PayPal verified that the cost had been paid to Fandango. When I went to see the movie, Famdango NEVER issued a authorization #, so I end up having to buy the tickets again. Contacted Fandango same day, they now say 5 days after the fact that the time of response... opened a dispute with PayPal. What a waste of time!
I went to purchase tickets from Fandango and when I get to the check out I thought it seemed a little high so I decided to chance it and see if tickets where still available when I got to the theater. Come to find out not only was the website charging a convenience fee which I didn't have a problem with but it was lying about how much the tickets actually cost so they could make even more money. The price I was getting from fandango was actually more than double what I payed at the theatre which meant fandango was going to make more money than the theatre, that's just not right.
Needed to movie my movie ticket times and waited over an hour online for them to talk to me and they never did. Sent an email 5 days before my movie times and they never responded. So I lost the money I spent on my IMax 3D tickets ($31) and still no response from Fandango
I purchased e-gift cards for movies with them - then COVID hit. They stayed closed for a long time and refused to accept my pre-paid vouchers. I filed a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General and have received return correspondence from them. The complaint will be entered into a country-wide database for ALL to view.

Received a Fandango gift card... impossible to use... they keep telling me to enter my credit card #... are you kidding me? This is a GIFT CARD... you don't need my credit card #... every time I enter the gift card code and PIN #... it says that there was an error... Yep... the error was on my part... I should have thrown the thing out. Customer Service is useless... What service does this company serve?
Wow! I wish I would have googled Fandango's reviews before I tried to purchase tickets for them. I highly recommend NEVER buying tickets with them. I will be deleting my account and never using them again.
Simply put, I bought tickets. Needed to return them (which they allow), but when I called (which they require) I was on hold for almost an hour. I hung up, then emailed them. They didn't respond. Finally when I got a hold of them they said I was outside of the allowable window to return. Avoid them at all costs!
I purchased a 25$ gift card to fandango. After selecting a local theatre, I purchased my seats for a move and the site changed my movie showing to a different state. I notified fandango customer service immediately (before the showing) and was never refunded my $. They said I didn't notify them before the movie began even though I have proof of It. Total rip off. Don't waste your money. View the pictures to see that the movie showing was 7:15pm and I notified them at 2:15pm...
Called the customer service about a huge issue about our tickets that we bought, never got anyone on the phone, even gave us a option to give us a call back never got the phone call, never buying from fandango again the worst ticket company ever. If I could give them 0 starts I would.
Got movie tickets from Fandango, the theater and Fandango over sold the movie. When in the theater, no seat available! Went to theater manager, he said "can't help you, you'll need to contact fandango." Contacted fandango, they said nope. It's after the movie has started, explained the situation and they said "no refund." So point using their service, poor customer service.
Was stuck in traffic after purchasing my tickets. Called Fandango to cancel BEFORE my show listing, but because they put me on hold for half an hour, they claim that it was too late to refund as my movie had since started. Not even considering the fact that I missed due to circumstances beyond my control, maybe if your customer service wasn't garbage, I would have gotten to a person before the cutoff. Purchased tix Via their app to the wrong theater, my mistake yes, however I quickly noticed the error and clicked the refund/exchange link. It wouldn't allow me to refund or exchange due to it being too close to the movie start time. We bought tix to the right theater for an hour later as that showing had sold out during this whole fiasco. I chatted with a rep and later had to also email for a follow up and was told I wouldn't be given a refund for the same reason the link listed-it was beyond the limit-so anyone who purchases within 30 minutes of the movie is stuck with it-no refunds, no exchanges. Don't sell them that close to the showing if that's the case.

Won a Fandango gift card at work - what a scam! You cannot use the gift card at the movie theater - tickets HAVE to be purchased online so there is no way to avoid the $1.25 INconvenience fee. Ridiculous! Plus I can only actually buy tkts through Fandango for one chain in my area - none of the others even accept them. The other theaters must already realize what a rip-off it is for their patrons. If I was planning to give a movie gift card I would buy one for the movie chain itself.
Fandango is the worst website and customer service I have EVER dealt with. I ordered a gift card by email and never received the card after 1 hour. My credit card was charged but no gift card in my inbox. I figured it was because they had an invalid email. I called customer service and they did not have an information in their system about my transaction. They were unable to find my information out by my email, name or 16 digit card number. After the search I was told that there was a third party company that enters the information. I asked for the customer service telephone number but they were unable to give me this information. Now my personal information is with a company that I did not even know I was using. Note this is the WORST EXPERIENCE!

1) still waiting (day 3) for a response from a customer service emailed question- they promise to get back to you within 24 hours.
2) signed up for vip specifically to be able to easier exchange/refund tickets- had to cancel 1 ticket, and was told that they could cancel the entire transaction, but not 1 ticket, an NO, i could not get a refund for the whole transaction, only a fandango credit. They said i could get a refund from the theater (hmm, my credit card was charged by fandango--why would a theater give me money back?)
3) the estimated 20 minute wait for CS chat, was closer to an hour, and while they show you what number in line you are, the number would sometime go UP! Going from 19th in line to 20th in line, then back and forth.
4) frustrated because i really don't want to do any more business with them, but and forced to hold a 'credit' that i'm afraid they won't honor.
I am very disappointed in not only the customer service but the lack of sheer responsibility when offering a quality entertainment experience.
Admittedly by human error, I selected a wher Chair seat that did not have an actually chair. Unfortunately there were no other seats open so myself and my friend were left movie less and out of $30. After spending over an hour contacting Fandango Customer support, I was told by Manager Corey that he would have a refund to me within an hour to catch the 8:05 showing of Wonder Woman. A lie! I received an email later stating refund denied because it was requested after showtime. Yes, because I spent 35 minutes waiting for a representative! Although I was not able to enjoy their movie, they insisted that it was only "fair business practice" that they not only not refund me but not even offer a comparable movie ticket.
Will Never patron FanTHIEVESdango again.
