Zero star review, very poor costumer service, I missed a flight called costumer service immediately and spoke with Nyash, he told me my penalty is $800, refuse to give me a credit, and claim it was policy from the airline, big liar, when I insisted he said penalty is $500, the amount keeps changing, I don't an airline can ever charge a penalty up to this amount.I've never encountered a problem like this with any other third party, I should have read the reviews before getting a flight with them,
My uncle bought a ticket from them.he is heart patient.he could not reach the airport because he got a pain in his chest.he provided all documents its been one month he is stuck there and could not make to final destination because of fareboom service after sale.they are not helping at all.asking to pay full amount.long story short never ever please buy ticket from all of you guys.they are scamers cheaters.on the top they hang up on your face.
Zero star. This company will cheat you by offering a very tempting price, then they will cancel your ticket and blackmail you into paying a processing fee to get the refund. They never answer phone. Beware of dealing with this company, I will work to report this fraud to the US Federal Trade Commission, and everyone who has been defrauded by this company should do the same.
I bought a ticket from them in 2020 to travel from Chicago to Uganda. Covid happened and they gave me a future voucher. However, the voucher expires December 2022. I reached out to them for a refund and they said it is not possible. I decided to use that money for another travel or exchange itinerary; however, whenever i get the flight i wish to book and write to them, they take a week to write back and by that time the itinerary i wanted has been booked by someone else. When i call them, they never answer. Generally, they have very bad customer care, they never reach out in time and once they take your money, if anything happens to your flight, they will not help you at all. If you know what is best for you, do not use fareboom. I probably give them a zero in customer service.

I booked flights that were cancelled due to COVID-19. I was not able to get a refund, just a credit which would have been no problem if I could actually use it. I spent over $1000 to get these flights booked. I am trying to book a flight to Cancun with my credit and Fareboom is trying to charge me over $300, more than the cost to book directly through an airline. Criminal.
Be aware! They are scam! They charged me the ticket price and they canceled my flight few hours before my flight without any explanation. They haven't returned my money back either! This is so inconvenient and this company should close their business before more people got scammed through them. I will file a claim at other platforms too! Horrible!
Took over 2years for a refund for a covid cancelled flight and that is cuz the airline did it, not them. Still lost $43 cuz they took long so the waiver expired. It wasnt my fault. It was theirs. They literally stalled until I could no longer get a refund but the airline helped me at the end. And only cuz I had to contact the DOT. At least I got the rest back. Their refund invoice shows I got a full refund even tho I didn't. Dont ever use them. They just ignore you and try to play dirty. I hope they go out of business.
I purchased a ticket for Aug. 2021 flight from Canada to Macedonia with multiply stops. COVID hapoened, flights were cancelled. Contacted Fairboom and was told I am entitled for a full refund and it might take 2-6 weeks. I am still waiting to receive my money back. Contacted them multiply times. Looking into taking legal action. Don't use Fairboom.
I have been fighting with Fareboom close to two years now about getting my $2800.00 back from them since covid-19. Plus, they want to charge me $400.00 more to book my flight again. It is close to impossible to get any customer service. I just sent them email saying either extend my travel voucher for one more year or give me my money back. They aren't honoring my request to book a flight for me and my family to Florida. If anyone wants to get a group lawsuit going hit me up.
I purchased a ticket from SA to Istanbul Turkey, to Adana Turkey and then after purchasing it said from SA to Germany then Adana Turkey. I tried calling, no answer, the website is useless and the ticket seems to be a fake after contacting my credit card company and United Airlines. My credit card company was contacted and I requested a new card, had to cancelled the other card. If you try to cancel the ticket immediatly they charge you about $375.00 with insurance. Don't use them, its a scam. A ticket for $1700 was offered at $700. If its too good to be true, then don't do it! Lesson Learned!
Here is what this scam company does:
1. Sells you a reasonably priced ticket.
2. Then keeps sending you emails saying that you flight is being cancelled. Cancel your itinerary for a future travel credit/voucher.
3. When you cancel (in my case they cancelled themselves!) they quote you prices for the "voucher" double what you originally paid. Because they have your money/"voucher", they basically have you by the balls, and people panic and pay what they are being asked for.
Pretty much all the reviews i read reflect similar stories.
So, Buyer Beware! Do not lose your money to this scam business! If i could give zero stars, i would!
I had to cancel do to covid my original flight. When you do the cancelation they tell you that you can use your full value of your purchase, BUT they never tell you that it need to be with the same airline. Also when you request the new date that you picked in the website that is the same amount you spend the first time; they send you an email requesting more money because the website price is only for first time ticket BUT they never say that at the beginning. When you call them they talk very rude and they sound like you annoy them which is really unprofessional.
NEVER buy tickets through a 3rd party. We learned this thanks to Fareboom.
We bought 2 tickets through Fareboom to fly to Italy. Due to Covid, travel restrictions and the Airline going out of business, we were not able to use the tickets. Fareboom never took responsibility. We tried everything, we even filed complaints with the BBB, but nothing. Their answer has always been "Your tickets belong to the Airline". The airline is out of business, but left specific instructions on the website: The travel agency has the access and ability to refund the money for unused vouchers. Fareboom still will not take responsibility.
ALWAYS buy your tickets directly with the airline
We've used them 4-5 times for flights and found good prices and service. My cousin, an attorney, was skeptical about Detroit to Mexico fare, went without a hitch. Any airlines will charge a fee if you miss or change a flight, (except SWA). We always get travel insurance and again Fareboom offers fair price if you buy when purchasing the airfare.
Do not buy from here. No customer service person available, unless u pay $75. If Airline company involuntarily canceled your flight, they will still charge you $450 & refund you the rest. Highway robbery done the legal way. I repeat DONT EVER PURCHASE FROM HERE
I realize this is a difficult time, but I feel totally cheated by fareboom. I had a voucher and after numerous emails and unfriendly customer reps, ended up paying almost full price for my exchanged ticket. Never again will I book with them.
They changed ticked 2 hours before check in. Would have gone from Canada to Newark 1:30 minutes would have been home). Instead they send me to Boston waiting time 11 hours than Newark. Nor refund. No apology. Just never answered. Do not book anything with this company..
I used this company several times during 5 years. So far didn't have any problems until today on the morning 6 hours before my flight. I called to emergency line and they began conversation with only one option I have to cancel my flight. After 15 min of conversation I realized that this company are chitin me, because they each 5 min they change the option. Finally the promise to refund my ticket which I was agree. Then in an hour I received the email that they can't refund my money. I tried to call them again the hang of me.
By far the worst customer service I have ever come across in my entire life. They cancelled my return flights just 48 hours before my trip began and blamed it on the airlines. In reality, the airlines didn't cancel the flights but it was Fareboom that completely jeopardized my travel plans. When asked, they didn't share reason for the cancellation or alternate options for the return flights. All I got was that my concern has been sent to ticketing department. All this just 48 hours before my departure. I had to cancel the entire itinerary and ask for refund because there was no return flights in it. It was completely Fareboom 's fault. They charged 97 dollar service fee for each ticket for the refund and And on top of this my refund doesn't even include an amount (680 dollars) which I paid as a fare difference for preponing one of my flights earlier. This is a SCAM.
Fareboom is a great company and for the past 10 years they been providing services to me. I am traveling overseas next month and I purchased a ticket from their website. Their website is very easy to use and you can purchase multiple tickets at the same time.
Answer: Impossible to call due to Covid-19. They send messages back that don't make sense to situation
Answer: It is not even accredited. They play dirty. They scam people out of refunds and charge fees when they shouldn'tm
