I have a Fingerhut Credit card, which was offered to me in 2019. They started me with a Credit line of $500. I barely used there card because whenever I purchase anything from them I always have to be returning them back appliances Jewelry etc. so I stop ordering things from them & was only paying off my credit card. They keep sending me credit line increased for me to purchase thing from them. & that it's temporary but I have to use it within a month for it to become Permament. I ignore the offer then they take it back. Now to my surprised I noticed that Fingerhut try to report to the Credit bureaus that I have a decrease of Creditline causing my score to Dropped. Right now I paid off Fingerhut having a o balance & they still have on my credit report that I am owing them a balance of $267. & I owed them nothing They are a nasty sets of Customer service agent & I want Fingerhut to have my credit score updated & ps send me out my 0 balance letter for my record & closed my account I would never recommend Fingerhut to no one there customer service stinks they Force u to take Creditline increased & then mess u up WHAT OUT for FINGERHUT 0 reviews Enclosed this is what they do

Complete joke

I have had an account with Fingerhut for over 6mo. I just recently moved and changed my address. I ordered 2 things, a stereo and a rug. They shipped the stereo, then decided to 'verify' my address change. You think that would be simple right? Wrong. They asked a series of questions, yet came back and said they were unable to verify my identity and the new address. They said I had to send in a copy of my license, social security card, and a bill with the new address. Being so new to the house, I don't even have a bill yet, nor do I have my stuff from the movers yet. The only thing I have is my license which isn't even changed yet. How stupid! Why can I not verify everything on my account... it's my account! AND... they already shipped the stereo! They lost me to Wayfair... Goodbye Fingerhut!

Worst company ever
May 30, 2019

Due to a glitch in Fingerhut's system, they over took 300$ when making a $35.00 payment. I thought it would be a simple process but, instead we are going on two weeks without a refund. The 1st rep said 3-5 business days, then i received an e-mail saying it could be 11-14 business days and then another e-mail stating it could be 30 business days for a refund. Requested a supervisor and waited almost 3 days and no one called. Finally got a supervisor just to be told the refund processor is a 3rd party and there is nothing they can do about it. Then requested the corporate office number which by the way is *******376 and was met by a receptionist who asked for a name of who I needed to speak to, which I told her I was not provided that and she said well this is a 3 party company and i would need a name, I then said so not only has fingerhut taken my money but, now I can't even file a complaint to which she hung up on me, I called back she hung up on me again. I called back a 3rd time and she sighed and said as i stated i need a name. I called fingerhut to speak to another supervisor who then said they cannot transfer me or provide a name for who I would need to speak with, contacted the corp office again and she sent me to an executive rep customer service who did not answer. That was 4 hours ago and still have not heard anything back. I would recommend never using this company, as they don't take ownership nor do they have any sympathy for their issue. I am at a lost and don't know what else to do. If you need to buy things on payment plan, use HSN or one of the other places. Fingerhut, also over charges for shipping and for the item its self. An item that is normally $50 like a tablet, is $100 on there. Hope this helps.

STAY AWAY! DO NOT ORDER!

The worst experience in customer service ever! I returned my items and I was told that I would receive a refund between three to five days... well I was told that eleven days ago... today I was told I would have to wait three to five more days because for "unknown reasons on their side" my refund wasn't processed! WOW... just want my money back! I waited and Ok... now I was told that I would not receive my refund back to my debit card but I would get a refund check in the mail in another ten days. I called customer service one more time to tell them I don't have a way to cash their check. And finally they sent my refund to my card. After receiving my refund I got a letter in the mail saying I owe them 58 cents in interest MY GOODNESS! All this hassle for two inflatable twin beds that engulfed my grandchildren while they were sleeping because neither of the beds held air. They should not even be selling these defective beds. One with an air leak. Ok maybe but BOTH? Do not order #SL826 INTEX COMFORT PLUS MID RISE AIRBED!

Fingerhut is a terrible company that overcharges for the products they sell and the apt is 39.99%. And they sugarcoat it by making people think it's convenient and easy for people to pay off. What they don't mention is that there are fees too. 50% of the products are cheaply made and the other 50% is severely overpriced. When I did the math by comparison from Amazon, it's almost a 60% mark up on items right from the start.
Return processes are a pain in the a$$ and the customer service is based out of India. IF you can understand the rep, you'll have to jump through hoops and go through paperwork before you can return the item along with being charged for the said return.
This company is a bunch of thieves and their peons are schooled in stealing hard worked for money.
Simply do the math I just presented and ask yourself if you're ok with spending that much money on over inflated stuff that has a high potential of showing up broken, breaking during regular use, and having to deal with a complicated return process.
I would rest this trash company with a zero of the option was there.
Oh, and BTW, when you try to close/delete your account, you have to qualify depending on what state you're in. That's right, and they make it difficult to close the account. On top of that, they won't tell you if you have a remainder on your balance that's owed but disclaim the punishment if you do exactly that with an excuse of, "that's private information that cannot be disclosed." However, they will close the account without so much as verification.
HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN. ALLY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND ANYBODY WHO'S INTERESTED WILL BE INFORMED AND FOREWARNED TO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES.

I purchased an ASUS laptop from this company. When I received it, I found that I could not type on it easily, and that the ports were not compatible to any devices that I needed to connect to it. Believing that I had 60 days to return the item, I did return it.

Approximately 2 weeks later, I received an email from Fingerhut, informing me that the laptop was going to be returned to me, because my return was not in compliance with its return policy. I then reviewed the policy once again, only to find that if one scrolls down to the bottom of the policy page, that there's a clause that states anything that "connects to the internet", however, must be returned within 30 days. As a result, I'm stuck with a laptop that I cannot type on or use.

I spoke with a customer service rep and a very apathetic and dismissive supervisor, and explained that I literally, had a replacement item in my "cart", ready to purchase and that I was simply waiting for my credit to complete the purchase. I explained that I could not understand why it would force me to keep an item that I was not happy with, when I was exchanging the same for an even more expensive item. Nevertheless, Fingerhut refused to issue me a credit and only offered me a "discount on my next item". I informed them that this would be my last purchase with them, after this kind of deceptiveness.

What I would suggest to anybody considering opening an account with Fingerhut- don't, unless you want to be met with probably other hidden deceptive terms, not conspicuously placed on their website, or unambiguously stated. Beware!

This company obviously has no interest in keeping its customers, and only values the first and exclusive sale. Please note that I'm forced to give it a 1-star rating, because 0 isn't available.

I opened an account with fingerhut in 2017 i ordered a JBL Bluetooth speaker i made all my payments on time until it was paid off without my permission my daughter ordered a gold chain on my account i called fingerhut and told them i didn't order the chain they said i had to make a police report and fax them a copy of the report so they can investigate i got the chain back and returnted the item they received it. I had not ordered from fingerhut in eights months until December 2018 i was told i couldn't place an order until i talk to the fraud dept. they said i need to send a copy of my drivers license proof of residents i faxed a copy of my DL and some mail with my PO on it i called back 3 days later they said they needed a copy of home address i found a statement from social security with my home address where i been living for twelve years and they still wouldn't except that i felt like they was playing with me so i called back and cancelled the acct i won't be spending my money with that company again i can go some where else and buy the same thing cheaper they merchandise is to high and over priced anyway.
