Worst experience - ordered online and received a pair of worn Nikes that smelt like rotten cabbage! I ordered a pair of Nike Free Run online and when I received the package it smelt funny. As I opened it, the smell was stronger and stronger. The shoes had the price tag on them as if they were new but when I looked at the bottom I knew they were worn: you could see dust and little pieces of rocks. The smell was the worst you can imagine, I cannot even believe that someone's feet can smell that nasty. Some disgusting customer must have worn them without socks and then returned them. And what does Finish Line do? Put a tag on them and put them up for sale again. When I called to complain, they acted like it was no big deal. I order shoes online because I do not have the time to go shopping... I have kids and a busy work schedule. I had to return the shoes at one of their stores... I wish I would have ordered from somewhere else. So please take my advise and unless you are interested in getting some fungus or other foot disease do not buy from Finish Line because they resell shoes that are returned. I would rather buy something at Goodwill than at Finish Line.
This is not a good site to purchase from. They pretend to have amazing deals on athletic shoes and accessories, which just isn't true. There are better deals on the same shoes elsewhere. Plus, items are often not in stock, so you have to wait forever to receive your item, or it will be cancelled unexpectedly weeks later. Better to shop somewhere else.
This site does not have amazing deals. After purchasing some running shoes, I saw that they were being sold cheaper elsewhere. The shoes were not actually in stock, even though I was able to purchase them. It took forever for them to arrive, and I couldn't cancel the order.
FinishLine has some awfully lousy deals on shoes. I checked some of their prices against Amazon and they did not compare favorably. FinishLine also has poor customer service. I'd skip it.
I don't even want to give finishline.com 1 star! I am completely disappointed with everything they have done! First, they send me the wrong shoes, so I spent about 100 dollars for a gift that my boyfriend still hasn't received. I ordered them "Rushed," 5 days before Christmas, and the shoes we received came late. I now understand that paying the extra $20 for the delivery is a sham, even though it is advertised all over their webpage. It is now the 4th, and I'm still fighting with finish line. They said they would send me out a return label for these cheap shoes that I didn't order, that were sent to my boyfriend, and send his correct shoes to him. However, I have seen NOTHING. I want my money back, but I can't get in contact with these people ever since my first call to inform them of their huge mistake! Terrible service; I vow to never shop there again.
Finish Line.com takes your order, but you never recieve a product. Eventually, they cancel your order but you NEVER can talk to anyone. Holding for 1 hour + then get hung up on. No response from email either. They are listing products they don't have in stock. I could go on and on... Very shady company and should be shut down. Never had such a horrible experience with a company.
Seriously tried to buy 4 sweatshirts from the site on Cyber Monday, the site would not alllow me to purchase the sweatshirts. Every time I got to the checkout it would say to review order but would never let me purchase it. So I tried calling, after 30 minutes on hold, I decided nobody works at Finish Line. So I decided to call a local store, the guy told me "Yeah our website is messed up, but if you want to order in the store... you can do that" I asked How about over the phone? No it doesn't work over the phone. Talk about terrible business sense and a horrible company for customer service. PATHETIC!
I needed running socks. After some research, I settled on a couple pairs from the Finishline.com. How hard is it to get running socks in stock? It took about 3 weeks for me to get them - running socks! Granted they're of a particular brand and variety, but Finishline could have done a better job of letting me know there would be a delay earlier on rather than having me wait it out.
Answer: Not if you wanted the shoes after they take your money.
Answer: I wouldn't worry. They are a genuine company and they sell authentic products. It's usually easy to return if you are local to a brick and mortar store. To be honest, they ship quickly and the customer service reps are polite, they are just located over seas and sometimes there is language barrier. Also, most of the issues are during the holidays, I think. They are worth a try if you have a local store you can go into.
