The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating the affordability and variety of services available, as well as the potential for building long-term relationships with freelancers. However, significant concerns dominate the feedback, particularly regarding delayed payments, unresponsive customer support, and a perceived lack of accountability for both sellers and buyers. Many users express frustration over unresolved disputes and the platform's failure to ensure transparency and quality among its freelancers. This highlights a critical need for improved customer service and stricter oversight to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

I hired this Fiverr seller to create a custom website and paid extra for additional services like funnel setup and website enhancements. However, the main website delivered was a direct copy of another client's site, which made all additional services completely useless. I had to rebuild everything myself. This experience was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and a total waste of money. Buyers should be aware before ordering.
I deposited funds into my Fiverr account to pay for business services. Without warning, Fiverr disabled my account and has refused to return the remaining balance. I attempted to resolve this directly with Fiverr Support multiple times, but my case was closed without a clear explanation, resolution, or refund. I was never told why my account was blocked, and I have been left unable to access the money I deposited in good faith. This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. Fiverr needs to improve its transparency, customer support, and refund policies to ensure buyers are protected and not left without answers or access to their funds.
I had a deeply disappointing experience on Fiverr with a seller who misrepresented their portfolio to secure my business. They shared a high-quality animation as their "original work," which turned out not to be theirs. I later discovered the same video was being used by multiple other Fiverr sellers. The video I received was significantly lower quality and clearly not the same style. I provided extensive evidence to Fiverr support, including screenshots of the seller admitting they couldn't animate humans (despite the sample video featuring them), and proof the portfolio video had been falsely claimed. I also showed that the original $750 order was "mistakenly" marked "delivered" before requirements or deliverables were submitted. Despite clear evidence of deception, Fiverr refused to refund the full amount. They offered partial cancellation and platform credit, but no acknowledgment of the core issue: the transaction was based on false representation. I'm disappointed in Fiverr's lack of accountability and failure to protect buyers from fraudulent practices. I hope they take this issue seriously moving forward—for the integrity of the platform and protection of future customers.
Don't want to cancel order and to receive order money you need to have 150$ in your card and to ad on it they say take order free
Loads of the scammers on Fiverr.
Fiverr does nothing to help but allowing the crime happening without providing proper solutions to the buyer. Customer service does not disclose reasons why their decision is made nor they do anything to the seller while it is obvious the seller is a scammer. They allow the scammer on the platform and do not proper protection to users. DO NOT USE FIVERR.
I've been a buyer on this platform for 7 years and I am fed up with the deteriorating quality of the sellers, and I've had enough of falling victim to scam after scam from fake offers. It's become a daily frustration, and the lack of action from Fiverr is unacceptable. The negligence in monitoring and maintaining the integrity of the marketplace is driving buyers away. It's time to wake up and realize that if you don't prioritize the improvement of seller standards, you will lose your entire buyer base.
I agreed to a 10 day deadline for an animation project with a seller with up to 7 revisions. He barely made the deadline for the first delivery and it has been an average of 4 days between revisions with poor communication and poor revisions.
I wanted to leave a review of the seller but fiverr disallows that after 14 days after the "delivery". $#*!ed policy. I just want to warn other buyers about this guy but I can't leave a review and the work is still unfinished. Horrible experience. Stupid review policy and useless customer support.
I needed a flyer made more appealing and found someone who did a good job quickly. After completing and tipping (fiverr takes a fee of both project and tips) I started to receive cold solicitations for work. I deleted my account, but they still come and customer service won't do jack about it. Don't use the platform if you like having privacy and not using your time to sift through these solicitations.
Awful company, I will never do business with them. They hire incompetent designers who are only nice until they see money. Tey hire fly by night designers who are here today gone tomorrow sort of like a homeless shelter. Very disappointed with their customer support. In fact we got no support at all. Very rude and uncooperative company. I will never do business with this company ever again.
Big mistake.
I have been a long time user of Fiverr for many years. I have bought many gigs and supported many of my favorite gigs over the years. And I woke up to an email saying that my account has been deleted and cannot be restored. They apparently did some investigation and through their results had deemed my account to be disabled. Of course they didn't reach out to me, or perhaps let me know of what was happening. They just decided that my account would be deleted. Really disappointed in this company. And the email was almost rude in a way saying that your account has been disabled and this cannot be undone, and do not contact customer support for this. They just deleted my account without any reasoning whatsoever. All they say is that it went against their terms, but of course they don't actually State anything specific. I probably use Fiverr on a weekly basis especially for my business for all kinds of things. I have happily used it and recommended it over the years.
UPDATE:
Since my account was deleted with no reason whatsoever provided, I decided I would set up a new account and start all over. I just created a new account, with my business email and the only thing I did was verify my email. That was it. Two days later I get an email saying how that new account is now disabled for violating their terms of service. The only thing I did was verify my email which Fiverr is the one who told me I had to. So how can I violate your terms of service for doing literally the thing you told me to do.
I have placed an order with them and they disabled my account and withheld my funds for 90 days.
I thought that it might be that i used some phrase or something that's wrong according to the fiverr policy.
Then i placed a second order using another account and again the same thing happened even though i was very careful because of my first bitter experience. I never did anything wrong.
It is the worst experience and i just quit and am thinking now about using other platforms.
Highly recommend not to trust them whenever they want will disable the account.
Highly recommend not to use your worst services.
Most of the bad experience on fiverr will not be mentioned because Fiverr will not post them. I higher a Professional editor and he didn't follow directions not once not twice but three times. Every time he turn something in it was the same video. He never change anythig and he thought he was going to get away with it. On top of that fiverr did not let me post my review on the seller. Fiverr doesnt care about the customer at all. Yes, I got my money back but I lost my time dealing with this seller. Will I get that back?
Deliverables were unsatisfactory, incomplete, unusable, and unprofessional. Do not ever use this service.
I hired Fiverr social media and experts. They essentially hacked into my business accounts including email, store, social media, etc and took over. No longer have the business that I created. I'm out the money. I'm out the time. No safety net on Fiverr. Most FIFA involve tech, buyer beware. You could lose everything and they will do nothing about it.
For buyers be carefull...There are alot of sellers where you order that try to steal you app or website. When you report them there is no refund and fiverr support block you account. So the refund is a big lie. This are criminals they block honest buyers and protect scammers.
We have used Fiverr for many projects and have always been very satisfied with the work of the freelancers. We have gone through many companies before finally connecting with this freelancer and after so many successful designs we now can say our search is complete and we have found a great company with excellent service and the talent to boot! Can't say enough good things about this company.
I had an account but it was deleted when I went back to use it after a while.
No worries. But when trying to make a new one, my phone number was not accepted.
So support said, to give them the old username and email.
When I did, the new account was deleted, or at least suspended.
No reason is given, though there may be some type of vague accusation.
You cannot get to Support with an account, and when I make another, I am accused of breaking their rule of having more than one account.
What a useless circle.
I want to know what this is really all about, but...there seems to be no one to speak to.
Very weird.
My user id is slegal1
I started being a customer in 2012. Every year the sellers were more and more incompetent. Free graphic design is better than fiverr sellers. Lately, the funds that were in my balance simply disappeared. No way to receive back your balance.
We are buyers. This is a story about losing customers quickly.
Teh first impression is that the site is nicely organised and its quite easy to find the right candidate(s). We negotiated our first project with a seller. All good. Seller sent an offer. Great.
We are not able to Accept the offer. Weird. We jumped through a few hoops, discovering that we had to complete some more details. Fine.
But we are still not able to accept the offer. Then we discovered that all messaging is blocked.
Ploughing through forums (always a bad start in our view) we understand that Fiverr has an anti-spamming policy. Which is admirable. We had a negotiation with one person, resulting in an offer. Thats not spamming.
Then we tried to lodge a support case but could not proceed because we didn't have an order. Correct, we can't accept the@#$%&* order.
We simply closed the account. Can't be bothered wasting time on a platform that aims to throw up barriers every step of the way.
I totally gave it the benefit months back, when I created a Seller profile for my professional voiceover business. Figured make few side hustle dollars with a client or two... until I discovered its a total mess. I swear the MOD or what ghosted the platform over time, because half my profile was wrong or missing info. Had to dig and waste time editing that didn't take. Just site errors to 'try again later' bs. Then locating support also wasted time. I swear half the users are nothing more than fake profiles who claim $100K earnings probably copy pasted or embedded from some other site
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
