This company does not typically respond to reviews
This review began as a 1 star, and I changed it to a 5 star. There is a deficiency in the Fiverr software that made me have to rewrite my complaint every time the seller responded. I thought that the seller had figured out the perfect system to make sure the review never reached Support. However, it did reach support, and support resolved the issue within a few hours after I made the complaint.
I hired Mike Oliver from Pakistan on 9/14 with the agreement the work would be done in 10 days. He tricked me into pre-paying by telling me he would be my personal designer so I paid him and he has never done the work. He is a scam artist do not hire him. Fiverr has no actual customer service available, only AI. I have sent countless emails that have gone largely unanswered.
A lot of the sellers are scammers. They advertise work for $6 then ask you for over $500 in when you contact them. One seller did a pitiful logo that was clearly unacceptable. I was refunded but once I lost my password Fiverr, is now making it difficult for me to access that account. The customer service is awful and they allow scammers. Most of the sellers are showing work that isn't there's and changing prices.
Hey guys, I don't think fiverr is a scam as I've used it without a problem, but it can be a little messy. I've been using fivesquid.com, which personally feels to me to be a much better and more trustworthy site. It's a British company that seems to tick all of the boxes for me. They seem to have just released a new version of fivesquid and I must say it looks pretty slick to me, so will be using it even more now.
I don't know why the bad reviews on here. I have used Fiverr.com since the site started. I had over six logos designed for my various companies as well as other marketing tools linked with Facebook and twitter as well as reviews and such. The vendors were more than helpful and most of the time I even tip them because the job was so good. The vendors that delivered me the logos more often than not would give me anywhere from 2-11 logos for only $5. That is a ridiculous price. I was charged over $300 for my very first company logo from a graphic design firm. So all in all I highly recommend choosing fiverr.com and giving it a shot.
The designers sent me a logo I asked for revisions. I didn't hear back after multiple messages, submitted a dispute with no response. Fiverr.com completed the order and then gave the designer 5 stars. Don't waste your money. Try another service and send a message to Fiverr.com.
I was looking for a professional and expert who can help me out with my shopify store design and to make it high responsive. I lost money before i met this freelancer who help me out on everything i was looking for including marketing so i do generate sales as well. So i will like to review him here. He's so professional and delivers fast. You can trust him.
Thanks
Tip for consumers:
Firstly contact him so you can discuss better and to let him know what you need.
I've had very rough experiences and a couple ok ones. It's really a crap shoot. I've had sellers on Fiverr tell me they can do the work (math) and then return the work 100% incorrect. I've also had sellers not deliver on time and try to make it look like they did (dishonest practices) to scam me out of my money. If you can, I'd avoid using Fiverr for anything important.
I have been a long time user of Fiverr for many years. I have bought many gigs and supported many of my favorite gigs over the years. And I woke up to an email saying that my account has been deleted and cannot be restored. They apparently did some investigation and through their results had deemed my account to be disabled. Of course they didn't reach out to me, or perhaps let me know of what was happening. They just decided that my account would be deleted. Really disappointed in this company. And the email was almost rude in a way saying that your account has been disabled and this cannot be undone, and do not contact customer support for this. They just deleted my account without any reasoning whatsoever. All they say is that it went against their terms, but of course they don't actually State anything specific. I probably use Fiverr on a weekly basis especially for my business for all kinds of things. I have happily used it and recommended it over the years.
UPDATE:
Since my account was deleted with no reason whatsoever provided, I decided I would set up a new account and start all over. I just created a new account, with my business email and the only thing I did was verify my email. That was it. Two days later I get an email saying how that new account is now disabled for violating their terms of service. The only thing I did was verify my email which Fiverr is the one who told me I had to. So how can I violate your terms of service for doing literally the thing you told me to do.
Products used:
I used all kinds of products from Photoshop editing, video editing, data scraping and many more from my business
Fiverr has so many issues with their service providers that I don't see them staying in business. Several of my projects have been incomplete, tried to strong arm for more money before completion or simply have not replied to the business. There is a sense of laziness and an attitude of "you should pay me, but that doesn't mean I should do your work."
The support behind Fiverr is no better. I have had missing refunds, support that refuses to acknowledge that my work was not provided and inability to back up the buyer. It's a bad ethic to have, especially considering that it's the buyers that are allowing their company to exist and most of the time, we are contacting them because of unsatisfactory work.
There are a lot of sites that offer the same services with much better support and actual work ethic that has to be matched.
Gee I wish I had read these reviews before I went with fiverr. My experience was very bad. The person did not follow my instructions and each revision got worse. Then I went on vacation and when I got back internet service I had an email that my order was finished because I didn't respond within 3 days! I asked for my money back but I doubt anything comes of it. Stay away.
It takes a lot of time to set yourself up on Fiverr. I was finally set to publish my gigs and I was promoted to take a test to establish I am capable of doing the work. I clicked on "take test" and got an error code. Customer support takes 12 hours to respond. I continued to get the error code, waiting an entire day to get a response each time. They just told me basically I'm screwed and have to wait 3 months to try again. I would find another site that cares about your small business.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t do it
If your forget your log in details you will get caught in this endless loop of incompetence. There's no escape, not even a way to contact the customer support. This alone will prevent me from ever spending money with this monumental $#*! up of a website. When I finally was able to google a method to contact customer support I was informed that there was a high volume of request, what a surprise! Sort it out for $#*! sake.
I think it's a great new business model. I've bought some gigs and, although the quality of services is not consistent, I repute this website to be a great source of cheap freelance work. Its diversity is impressive and, if I may say, one great point to improve would be ensuring the quality and trustworthiness of users and their gigs. Obviously I don't know which technical solution would be able to handle this, but Fiverr could grow into THE reference for freelance buyers and sellers if they could guarantee quality and reliability with 99.9% certainty.
After a year on fiverr as both seller and buyer, I have to conclude that fiverr is just cheating both buyers and sellers.
As a buyer, refunds are not being made to credit card or PayPal - unless you raise it with your bank or PayPal. A process which might take another four weeks.
As a seller, fiverr might block your funds even after customers gave you a 5* review and marked the order as compete.
Taking 20 % commission and having to wait for 2 weeks (+3 days if order is not marked as complete) to be paid should make competent customer support affordable.
I contracted a freelancer to promote a YouTube video. He stated he would get it viral over a 5 day exposure to over ******* people.
The first day it got about 3500 views. The second day 1200 of those had been removed by YouTube, probably because of the use of bots instead of real accounts. The third day it dropped another 800 views! And it stayed there for the remainder.
He then had the gull to say the job was completed and collected the payment.
2000 vies is hardly what I would call viral.
I complained to customer service at Fiverr and got a "that's between you and the seller" response and that they did not guarantee in any way customer satisfaction.
I have since cancelled my account and will never use them again.
It took me many months before I could start making sales and just when I did; fiverr had to request for my ID which I presented. They said I was not the owner despite seeing the name on my id card and profile. I guess i don't have to look same in a pic i took 2-3 years ago. Finally i was signed out and lost my earnings. Requirements sucks.
I have been on Fiverr seeking employment as a virtual assistant. I continue to get messages from people overseas with broken English who just want to waste my time! I will take my expertise elsewhere.
Fiverr is a buyer facing platform that treats freelancers with complete contempt. I rarely leave reviews but in this case I feel the reality is not being reported enough, and feel like I should. From bad customer support through to sellers being open to blackmail from buyers.
Sellers are unable to stop buyers from placing an order and if an order is unrealistic or the buyer has misunderstood, it is always the seller that is penalised by the stats system which awards 'Levels'
Impossible to get support from the website staff, generic responses and most of the time completely ignored.
It's fair to say through a 20% cut the website takes, I have made this company a fair amount of money and can honestly say have never been treated worse.
Fiverr customer service officers do not support sellers in any ways at all! Never waste your time and degrade yourself as a seller there. They believe the buyer without concerning themselves with the actual truth. Please think thrice if you are planning to sell your service there.
Buyer can walk away with the free copy of your work when the order is cancelled which is exactly what happened to me. Buyers can ask for extra work or change to a brand new piece of work without paying extra fees, and when you refuse, the buyer either leaves a bad review or request the resolution Centre to cancel the order, quoting that you are not qualified to do his work and the officer will just go ahead and cancel the order on his behalf.
The customer client don`t care about the buyers. I had one trouble with one order and they told me to sort it out with the seller, but seller had block me on the Fiverr, and the person from the customer support is like an robot asking same question and giving the same answers. So be careful before accepting a delivery from any buys you make. You might have a nasty surprise after...
System is rigged to take and hold onto your money. Both buyers and sellers pay high fees. Buyers cannot withdraw money if a job gets cancelled and refunded. Sellers have to wait two weeks to receive payments for completed work. It's 2020, this is not a technical limitation. It's a very poor ethics decision. Would leave a zero star rating if I could.
Fiverr does not respond to customer complaints before 5 days the least. There is no phone number listed either for customer service.
Fiverr does not control quality of the IT (illustrators) freelancers it allows to open up accounts. In my case where an illustrator posed to know 2 and 3D illustration and promoted it on his profile there, was highly unqualified to do the work and could not deliver after making 3 attempts for over 9 days.
I am not satisfied with Fiverr and the freelancers it has on it website and after complaining on time and numerous times, it has decided not to return my 157 dollars and the company suggests that I give the freelancer "more time" when it's not a matter of time, rather performance!
While I like the fact that people can get low budget professional services, I think $5 is an insulting amount to pay someone in today's marketplace.
At that rate, if the project takes 2 hours you are paying the person $2.5 an hour. That's slave wages. The site takes 20% of earnings, so a seller is really earning just $4, or $2 an hour.
I believe that, even if it takes an hour or less, it takes advantage of hardworking people.
I believe people working on the site should get at least $10. Five dollars is an insult.
So I contacted Fiverr to get favorites on my Etsy store. Pay them and almost automatically get an email response stating " they could not fulfill my order because they were out of town" what? Really? I was told I would be refunded. Ha ha not refunded but credited back to my Fiverr account. And of course no customer service, no email reply. Stupid me. Never again. Check out the fiverr reviews, I wish I had
It is virtually impossible to contact support if (and when) you have a problem with a seller, and from I can tell a seller can then block you from contacting them, once you realise they are not delivering what you have paid for. May only be $5 bucks, but its a total waste of $5! You are left with the fiverr website that goes around in "contact us circles" and nothing else…. Total waste of money.
I am a graphic designer Photoshop artist. I came to this site last year to freelance. Little did I know disappointment was waiting for me. Fiverr has too many graphic designers and you wont make anything on it because many are doing the same thing at low, average or high price (that's if you are a graphic designer). Further more people would only look for gigs with higher ratings and reviews.
If you are a designer, I advise you not to try this site you wont make money. Also the buyers request is totally useless. They won't even remove the request if the buyers had their request already taken.
