Our company needed a map illustration/perspective drawing done and decided to try out one of the illustrators from Fiverr. The person we placed the order with had really good reviews and his portfolio seemed pretty good and he was confident that he would be able to deliver what we needed based on the examples I provided him. I was very specific in the style and detail of drawing that I wanted and also sent him examples. This was a custom order and turned out to be more costly than I expected, but I still went with him trusting that he would deliver.
When I received the first draft, it was nothing like the quality and standards that I expected. I was so shocked and disappointed. The style of drawing looked nothing like the examples I showed him, the perspective was off, colors were all wrong, and just the level of attention to detail wasn't there.
I attempted to provide very clear instructions on the revisions that I wanted to see changed on the illustration, but the results kept getting worse and worse. I also felt like he didn't put much effort into making the changes and just the quality of work was horrible.
I felt like this illustrator should not have agreed to take on this project if he wasn't comfortable doing these types of drawings.
This was my first time using Fiverr and overall, I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated and I don't think I will trust using Fiverr again.
After filing a complaint and disputing this case, the Fiverr customer support team was completely useless. It took them 1 week to respond to my request and they didn't do anything about it.
I was really hoping to try selling services on Fiverr, but first I had a question about Fiverr's privacy policy. In today's world of rampant cyberattacks and cyberstalking, I wanted clarification regarding how Fiverr uses and stores the sensitive personal information that I would need to provide during the ID verification process.
I wrote three times to the address that Fiverr provides for questions about privacy, and they never answered at all. Not only did they ignore my question, but they didn't even send an automated response to show they received any of my messages. If Fiverr can't answer a basic question about user privacy, how can I trust them to protect my privacy or communicate with me about other issues going forward?
At this point, I've decided not to sell on Fiverr because they're completely unresponsive to their users. I'm very disappointed in this company since I would definitely like to take advantage of their work opportunities, but their nonexistent customer service makes it too risky.
I'm beginning to think its a SCAM bait and switch. I ordered 'I will design Professional Product Label of your Product for $5.00' from SELLER gd2p01, only to be told THAT TO PLACE MY LOGO & INFORMATION ON THE LABEL TEMPLATE SUBMITTED would cost $35.00. NO EXPLANATION FOR WHAT THE $5.00 THAT THEY LISTED IN THE SELLERS LISTING WOULD PURCHASE. NOT GOOD!
THIS MAKES ME QUESTION WHETHER THIS COMPANY FIVRR IS CREDIBLE.
Unlike the other freelancing sites, Fiverr never shows reviews on the buyers profiles. The reason is a vast majority of Fiverr clients are their own guys who bring lower cost projects from their local markets and post those on Fiverr. They want to get their lower cost jobs done for free. As the consequence of it, they try to be involved in a quarrel with the sellers. They do this only to get the job done for free. As the consequence of it, they receive negative reviews in many cases. Now if their profiles show the negative reviews posted by the sellers, they will never get any seller in future to get their works done for free. This is why fiverr Fiverr never shows reviews on the buyers profiles.
On the other hand, as the sellers profiles display the reviews, they deliver the work for free in the most of the cases. This is only to avoid the negative feedbacks and keep their profile neat and clean.
Clients on the fiverr, being their own people, Fiverr always take buyers side. No seller can win against a buyer on fiverr- even if a seller is 100% correct. Fiverr is a site for the buyers, not for the sellers.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
Placed an order with a designer (logo_dream). Said I can get a refund if I don't request revisions. I didn't like it. Requested refund. Had the hardest time! Not getting my money back.
-THEY HAVE NO CONTACT NUMBER
-THE DONT SUPPORT THE BUYERS
-SAID THEY CANT FORCE THE SELLER TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK
-BASICALLY I PAID FOR NOTHING
Fiverr seems to be only interested in getting money from buyers and sellers.
As a buyer, I contacted a seller to design a logo for my startup. The seller didn't even understand my requirements and come up with another concept entirely which I complained about to, he changed it, but insisted I completed the order before sending me the source file, which was not the agreement. I feel cheated and manipulated, but anyway I had to comply, due fiverr CS nonchalant attitude ( in the past, when I contact them, they will just reply with a premade sentence, without analyzing and investigating your complaints).
Sellers, can cancel works done for him, no question asked, without even complaining to me, Fiverr just cancels it without contacting me. As a digital marketer, some variables are relative to this success of any marketing campaign, from budget to time to begin to see results, some buyers are short-sighted and want instant results which attimes doesn't work that way.
And then again, Fiverr ever-changing policies, sellers are just being treated on the platform, like a slave. Today, 12/09/18, they roll out a policy just to favor sellers a little bit, shame on them, after a long time of torture by fiverr on sellers.
A lot of the reviews here are bad because satisfied people are less likely to leave reviews. Fiverr makes it possible for me to make a full-time income ghostwriting from home. Most of the buyers are great. The site is easy to use and I have a consistent stream of business. They could use a better vetting system. There are a lot of people who are unqualified in my category. They're easy to spot though. Just look for grammatical and spelling errors in their gig description. Also, always reverse image search their profile pic to see if it's a random stock image.
If you take the time to search through sellers, you can get a really great value. I recommend always starting with small $5 or $10 gigs first before jumping into big projects, and if you buy writing, make sure to manually type the content into both grammerly's plagiarism checker and copyscape. Some sneaks do some fancy coding tricks to make stolen content pass copyscape, so if you copy/paste it will pass.
All of that might sound pretty scary, but you have to understand it's just a platform. The sellers don't work for Fiverr, they're just using Fiverr as a platform. There are sneaks and crooks everywhere. But you can also find some awesome sellers who do great work at a great value.
Also keep in mind that if you're being very stingy and expecting hours worth of work for $5 then you are much more likely to get an unscrupulous seller.
HORRIBLE! AFTER GETTING A GOOD IDEA TO GET STARTED ON THE WEBSITE. I WENT THROUGH WITH PUTTING EVERYTHING IN. THEN THE SITE OR MY INTERNET, I AM NOT SURE WHICH FROZE UP AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT IT WORKING AGAIN, I LOST ALL THE WORK I PUT INTO IT. I NEVER WORKED ON A SITE THAT DOES NOT SAVE THE STUFF ON ITEMS YOU ALREADY ENTERED. NOW I HAVE TO RE-ENTER EVERYTHING AGAIN. WILL WAIT TO SEE IF I WILL. FOUND A BETTER SITE THAT I WILL POSSIBLY USE NOW.
I WILL NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE.
You know it's amazing to me that a company that operates providing access to freelancers doesn't really care if theor freelancers rip you off.
For two weeks I tried to resolve the issue but they flat out refused a refund.
Then I changed back, got my money back and they shut down account.
Idiots, liked seriously.
A. I am a tech person, I'll make a new account and use your service anytime I like because you're too stupid to block me from doing so.
B. I'm obviously a dissatisfied customer, one with years of history doing business with you. Why would shutting down my account and not reaching our to me be your response? What good does this do? Do you really feel like this protocol helps you grow your business?
I'll be glad to rejoin you if you complete the following steps.
A. Reactivate my account
B. Honor the refund requested, you already lost the money anyway, plus I used a prepaid card so even if you won the chargeback I don't really care cause the cards empty. And yes, you can chargeback off prepaid cards, it's why I use them with shady internet peoples like yourself.
C. A handwritten apology.
Otherwise my account and the other 14 accounts we use fiverr through as a company will be shut down.
Have a great run Fiverr! There are plenty of other freelancer communities other than yours. It's a shame you didn't value my business. It's a further shame to imagine how many customers you alienate in similar situations.
I got what I needed, And it surpassed my expectations! If you ever need a really great artist contact Vectowr from fiverr, and I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
Fiverr has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,087 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fiverr most frequently mention customer service, credit card and low quality. Fiverr ranks 107th among Freelancing sites.
