I have been seeing fiverr for a while now and needed a professional logo for my ecomm business. After setting up my account, I filtered out what I wanted, to include an English as first language seller. I messaged the person saying I need a logo that will fit and be able to be adjusted to etsy, facebook, twitter, instagram and be used for a business card. I asked if he could do that, a quick reply back and he said he could and to select the medium gig. So I gave them my money and the person sent me generic logos that looked like they were for tech companies or a paper supply company.
Despite telling him what my business was and giving him all of my links, I apologized to him and explained that despite all of his hard work, I could not use any of them. With no real communication other than thank you for your feedback he sent back 3 useless logos.
I then contacted fiverrr (who does not have a phone number) saying I would like to cancel, they told me to resolve it with the seller and to try to communicate with him. So I asked the seller to cancel and he said that it would hurt his business. So I gave him one last try and he gave me mediocre options. I approved them and then asked when I would get ones that I could use and he continues to send me bad files that turn black when I use them. They wont format to etsy. After 2 weeks he has asked me what size the one for etsy has to be. After 2 weeks. I have been back and forth with fiverr and they keep telling me to talk to him and not get frustrated - i was supposed to have a good logo in 2 days not fighting for 2 weeks.
BEWARE - FIVERR DATABASE HAS BEEN HACKED OR STOLEN!
I received a spam message through my Site's Contact Us form. My original site design was worked on by someone at Fiverr, so that's the connection.
Please note - the guy named in the threat below has no connection to me and would have no idea what my site is. Today, Fiverr deleted his profile.
So, Fiverr's database has probably been hacked, or this was done by one of their employees.
BEWARE!

Hi, I wanted to let you know that your site has a lot of porn and gambling spam. Please get in touch to me to have removed. If you dont contact, there will be more porn spam and your site will be dead. So no waste time and order my gig now www.fiverrDOTCOM /miananosh01
Buyer beware, Fiverr.com is a HUGE scam. If you buy anything from them you better kiss that money goodbye. The gigs aren't all $5, they use that to reel you in and there are almost always additional charges. I ordered a "fiverr" that ended up being a 45er instead. I paid $45 for a $5 gig, and never received it. They say you won't be charged until you get your order but that's a huge lie. Once your money is tied up with these scammers, you will never see it again. They do not refund money or honor their guarantees. The seller I dealt with simply stole my money and never delivered the product. Then Fiverr told me they do not give money back, but only refund "fiverr crrdits" in case you want to order anything else you will never receive. They are truly crooks.
• I paid with paypal and opened a dispute with them since Fiverr has the worst customer support in the whole world. After countless emails from Fiverr trying to bully me and harass me out of the paypal dispute I was pissed. They try to avoid the fact that they will not give your money back, but rather refund you is $#*!ty useless Fiverr credits. SO they just stole my money and lied.

• If you leave bad reviews on sellers, they simply delete them to make themselves look good. They pay people to write good reviews and get rid of bad ones online as well. SCAM!
•
• DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FIVERR! They stole my money, never delivered and I just found out that they gave my computer numerous viruses and spyware. They will harass you and steal from you. BEWARE!

The sellers in fiverr doesnt follow instructions. I had my logo done with one seller twice and i stated in the instructions what i want in my logo, he did not deliver. I even gave him the font that i want and the photo what i want done. He just changed the color from the first one he gave me. I told him i wanted a mannequin, he gave me a dress in a hanger drawing even though ive sent him an attachment for the drawing i wanted.
Like what should i do with that. I gave a 4 star to another seller and he begged me to get my refund back. So i just changed my reviews to five star. I did not want my $5 back. I was just giving out a review through a very honest opinion of what he delivered.
I would not want to give them any reviews then if they wont honor it... It's kinda weird... I think fiverr should be more strict to whom they permit to do their job on fiverr...
I know these people are just trying to make a living but what the hell, its also unfair for the customers to keep on paying and not getting what we want.
I know $5 is peanuts but if you keep on paying $5 due to the sellers incompetency or maybe they dont understand you, it will become $50 or $100 dollars.
It's not cheap at all... It's unfair...
You get what you pay for. I asked a designer to create a book cover for CreateSpace. I did all the basic design, layout, chose the fonts and sent the artwork to the Fiverr.com designer. All I needed was someone to replicate my design into a cover that met the CreateSpace specifications. What I got was a product that looked like what I wanted, but met NONE of the specifications. CreateSpace had to make tons of changes to my file to get it to fit and it still looks bad. It took over a week to get my job done. The designer apparently has a master's degree in design (I'm sure that's fake) because there were so many typos and basic design errors, it took multiple revisions to get it done. And it still wasn't right in the end. The designer was based in Pakistan, so you have to deal with the time difference and language barrier. Avoid this service at all costs. Unless you like things to look like a 10 year old created them. Pay a little more for a local designer that can spell and knows how to actually do design work.
3vdifferent people scammed and didn't do what they promised,,,, fiverr did nothing the last time. A waste of mney. They need to do a better job at screening who they allow to work under there banner.
I does not matter if you are a buyer or a seller, Fiverr is the WORST place to be - stay away from it at all costs!
For sellers:
I was with Fiverr since the very beginning (where it was still cool) until my account was disabled for no reason a couple of weeks ago. Sellers beware, your account is at risk at any time, the support does not give a sh** about you and since this "company" sits somewhere in Isreal it's nearly impossible to take legal action (not that it would be worth the hassle anyway). To make things even better, all funds on your (for no reason) disabled account are frozen for 90 days and I highly doubt I will see any of that money ever again, even if the 90 days have passed. DO NOT SELL here. You can't make decent profits anyway, because Fiverr is swamped with sellers from 3rd world countries who can throw parties for their whole village once they earn five bucks (four that is after 20% fees). If you are in a western country, you do not want to compete against them, trust me. You're better off working minimum wage for Mc Donalds. They do at least not take 20% fees of your minimum wage, like Fiverr does.
For buyers:
We'll, there is really only one thing I have to say: You get what you pay for. If you like getting scamed by some third world individuals who will even insult you afterwards - this is the right place for you.
Please be really careful using Fiverr. They are more supportive of the techs hired to do gigs or projects then the customer who pays.
I had a very expansive online website store for 5 years. It took me a year to build it. I hired a tech through Fiverr to clone the website and scrapp all the data. I had to transition away from the current website company because they were at the end of life and would be permanently shutting down.
The Fiverr tech and I agreed to a two week window to complete the project. He told me that he could definitely complete the project in two weeks. The two weeks was the time frame he requested to complete the project. He did not keep his commitment. He did not get the project accomplished. The website company closed down and I lost the whole website that I built, the files everything. The website was worth thousands of dollars.
I explained the situation to a manager at Fiverr and told her what predicament he left me in. I asked for accountability for what he did. I explained that I never want him to do to someone else what he did to me and suggested he be punished and removed as a tech. All I received was a refund ($300). They did not care about the condition he left me in.
Please be careful with the company Fiverr. They do not care about the customer.

I was a loyal seller on Fiverr for over 2 years. With 100% positive feedback, I quickly climbed the ranks to level 2. All seemed to be well in Fiverr land. Then, I needed to buy some material for a client of mine. I started scanning the infographic jobs. Anytime I asked a seller what their $5 job was, I was met with hostility. My orders were cancelled left and right with no explanation. I confronted the sellers about it, saying it was false advertising/extortion, and I contacted Fiverr's customer service for assistance. The very next day, Fiverr knocked me off of the to levels I worked two years to achieve. When I confronted Fiverr about removing my two levels, they advised me that the process is "automated" and that I no longer met the requirements for a level 2 status. Really? With 100% positive feedback I no longer met the requirements? I told customer service that if they were going to knock me off of my levels, at least they should have the courage to tel me the truth about why. FRAUDS, FALSE ADVERTISING, INTIMIDATION. BUYER BEWARE!
The platform is rather good and I'd rate them with a 5 stars If there was not a HUGE HOLE in the rules!
I had the same issue already for 5th or 6th time and I NEVER got normal support from fiverr.
Support team always support the side of scammers and do not even try to help the customer, do not protect the rights and interests of the customers.
All low qaulity freelancers (scammers) on fiverr know how to avoid bad reviews. And suppport do not do nothing with this!
This is a real Lifehack! Just to cancel the order or just hold it with nothing doing and scammer will be protected from a bad review.
In my 5-6 cases there were freelancers with rather big amount of revews and all 5 stars.
But in fact the rating of a freelancer means NOTHING! As they almost 100% protected from bad reviews...
And no matter how terrible the situation is, for example, when a freelancer with his work for 30 euros caused damage to the customer for 5000 euros - the support of fiverr will ALWAYS support the fraudster...
In total, I have placed over 1000 orders on fiverr. And 994 of them I rated 5 stars myself.
But those problematic 6 orders that were made by scammers - I simply could not evaluate in any way!
This is total inadequacy - I can only give 5 star reviews and I cannot give bad ones, because freelancers know how to avoid them. And the fiverr knows very well that scammers know how to avoid bad reviews. And they do absolutely nothing about it.
THE MAIN IDEA of this review - I hope that Feverr will change its very strange policy, correct inadequacies, and protect customers as much as low-skilled cheaters.
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
Fiverr has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,087 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fiverr most frequently mention customer service, credit card and low quality. Fiverr ranks 107th among Freelancing sites.
