I inadvertently booked a flight to Zurich thinking I was booking through Icelandic Airlines. I tried cancelling in the moment unsuccessfully and called within minutes to cancel. This company not only upcharged the cost of the flight by a few hundred $$$ dollars athey also stole a 44.00 per passenger cancelation fee. SCAM

Unfortunately nowadays technology makes things more complicated than expected. Perhaps, the site needs to be optimized with the customer convenience in mind. Interface should be more user friendly. Filling up passengers names is not convenient, the system keeps bouncing back until I revised the passengers types, from 4 adults to 3 adults and one child. The system can detect by itself that one passenger is minor without the need to manually make the adjustment. Also, the pricing structure is absolutely crazy. Everything is very convoluted.
It really is a shame that customers have to pay for EVERY THING EXTRA when it use to be part of the ticket price.

The Icelandair site has changed for the worse. Info about flights and stopovers is not listed in former detail (or is difficult to find). Prices for seat selection unreasonable and there is no explanation for finding free selections. No information about how to be met with a wheelchair between flights. I also have not been able to figure out how to get (or if one can get) airline points for flights--and I have made the same trip on Icelandair for several years... But I still find that Icelandair is a great airline!
