Ordered a pair of $165 walking shoes for my wife who had painful foot issues; could have bought a different brand same day in the mall but liked the idea of the 2-day shipping so took a chance, chose 2-day, was walked through the purchase process then basically dumped out with purchase confirmation for 5-7 day shipping. Apparently, the $20 2-day shipping simply fell off the order and was completely forgotten. Now, my poor wife gets to wait an additional 5 days in pain because the website couldn't negotiate 2-day add-on shipping and never mentioned that fact during purchase. Poor experience. Buy from Amazon.
I have been trying to get a return label from this company since March 2020. FedEx can't read the one that was provided. I wanted to exchange for a larger size. They won't return my emails or telephone calls. Now I just want my money back. Wow, worst of the worst companies of all times. There are a lot of other companies offering the same quality sneaker. Go with any of them. Stay away from Gravity Defyer!
I have purchased 2 pair of sandals from Gravity defyer recently and am completely satisfied, they feel great on and the higher arch defineately helps with my posture. I will be purchasing from again. I recommend this company.
I have big feet, I bought a size 11, but 11 doesn't seem to come in wide, no matter where I buy shoes, but that would probably help this situation. I wore them a day, first with the corrective insoles, but had to take them out hallway through the day for more foot room. They hurt my feet more than my old shoes. In my right foot, my pinky is squished and the tongue wore on the top of my foot and bruised it. Then the left foot, it causes awful cramping in my arch. I need slip resistant for work. For some reason, they have an attachment on the heal part that stick out about 1/4 inch off the bottom. That part is slip resistant. But I nearly fell a couple times, as the toe isn't really slip resistant at all, though it appears to be. Plus, they're not really rockers but rather just fat soles. So I thought, I'll clean up the bottom of the soles and send them back, but after only one day of wear, the tag on the tongue is sweat stained, the lining on the inside is a bit worn, and they already stink (I don't even usually have an issue of bad foot odor) and I thought there's no way they'll consider them to be "like new" and send me a refund or exchange like promised all over their site. So I'm mad I'm out a hundred bucks for shoes I can't wear. And mind you, buying new shoes was a really big deal for me, as a hundred dollars is kinda a large expense for my broke self, and I've been putting off buying a good pair for about 2 years now. I used to always but sketchers slip resitant shape ups, but they seem to not exist anymore, so I thought these would be a good replacement. So wrong. I literally had better luck buying something similar for $8 off of wish.
I have been in the brand name retail shoe business for over 50 years, I've seen products come and go, NOTHING is for EVERYONE and complaining about the fit of shoes you order is ludicrous, shoes MUST be fitted in a store by trained salespeople, PERIOD. That being said, now that I'm retired I work out almost daily, walking is a big part of that workout and up to wearing my Gravity Defyer shoes I wore New Balance mostly because of my need for a 4E width. My Gravity Defyers fit EXACTLY like my NB, I wear a 13 EEEE in NB, a 13 XW in Gravity Defyer. As far as my review these shoes are on a par (price wise) with the better NB products. The comfort for me is slightly better, knee pain is gone, toe cramping is gone, it took a 10 minute walk to adjust to the feel as these have a slightly thicker heel than my NB, but after that I don't even notice it. The different insole (high arch/low arch) is very smart, I prefer the high arch (again, a professional fitter will help you decide) it is the BEST company insert (included in your shoe purchase-there are some "aftermarket" inserts that you pay extra for that are slightly better) I think, if you have "issues" these shoes should be seriously considered, they are an option I am very happy I tried. DEFINITELY worth the price, I would NOT buy them WITHOUT first trying them on in a REAL store, NOT a "big box" store but a store where you can be SIZED and FITTED and you'll KNOW if it's right for you. It CERTAINLY was for me.
Returned shoes within two weeks as they were horrible for my feet, only wore them indoors, returned in original packaging. Still only store credit. Have been disputing the charge on my Amex for months now. Stay away it's not worth the hassle.
I ordered a pair of these, but there were so many holes for the laces that I could not work them because I have arthritis I sent them back and they would not refund my money, but gave me a "store credit." I ordered a pair with velcro fasteners. The tongue of that style shoe came up so high on the front of my leg, at the ankle, that it rubbed a blister on the front of my leg. I sent them back and they would not refund my money. I feel that I have made an honest effort to wear their product, but they just do not fit my feet. So unless you can afford to lose $180, plus shipping, don't buyt these!
Quality of shoes are great. If they don't fit and you send them back, you are stuck with a credit! I wore mine around the house for a couple weeks, never went outside. I had back pain from them, returned them within the 30 days and was denied a refund because they were 'not like new'. Now I have to keep ordering different pairs until I find one I like. I would not recommend. Terrible customer service!
I am baffled by all of the negative reviews. My Gravity Defyer shoes have been a life saver for me. They are comfortable, roomy and I have a lot less foot pain. Walking in these shoes is so much better than any shoe I have owned before. I have had no problems with the quality of my shoes. I have diabetes and I highly recommend the Gravity Defyer shoe!
I bought my father a pair of their $210 hiking boots, which fell apart after only being worn a total a month. I sent them pictures of the sole that had literally come off, & all they did was offer me 20% off a new pair. Now why in the world would I want to spend any more money with this company when they don't even stand behind their products & sell shotty quality shoes! In my opinion, New Balance are much better quality at half the price.
I had pain at the ball of my foot and heal with my ankles starting to hurt. I purchased two pairs of shoes and three different insoles, even went to a massage therapist just to have myfeet massaged, with no relief. I came across Gravity Defyer ad and went ahead and bought a pair. They came with three inserts which is unusual. I would say they are good quality. I could feel relief just doing the three day break in. My first day wearing all-day my feet felt so much better but I found out the hard way they are extremely slick on ice. My other shoes were not as slick as these. After wearing a few days they became loose because the swelling went down in my feet from the pain relief. All in all I probably will be buying another pair.
Sorry, not a review. I want to thank all who have purchased and sent in reviews. They certainly helped me decide whether or not to purchase for myself. I believe I will pass on this one. Thank you.
Had a horrible customer service experience over exchanging for a different size. Agent was so rude and very arrogant!
I worked through the "pain" of breaking them in as directed. I then ordered a pair with velcro thinking that the laces were causing the new top of foot pain.
I only wear them 3-4 hours a day and have had them for about 4 months. My feet hurt just as bad, if not worse with these shoes and gets progressively worse. The lining inside started breaking down after a couple of months and is now shredded.
Don't waste your money. MBT used to make great shoes but I stopped wearing them when the materials became cheap after another company bought them. GD is worthless from the beginning.
Comfort with correction. Before these I wore HOKA exclusively. Now all I wear are these. They corrected my posture immediately! Lower back pain is a nonissue and my heels are totally supported! BEST SHOES EVER!
Not happy with this shoe, Its a shoes and does NOT provide and comfort. Lousy Customer Service too. Save your money, you can get a better show at Sam's Club for more than half the price!
I paid $21.00 fedex fee to receive sneakers in 3 business days. Third day they did not arrive and I was told they were only shipping that day. I said that was unacceptable. Supervisor said they would ship overnight and they would waive the fee. I also received email confirming they would ship overnight. Well the next day they DID NOT ARRIVE. I called company and was told they never shipped and they didn't know why! After him talking to the warehouse, supposedly they are shipping today (Friday) but I will not receive until Monday. Who knows if I will receive them then, AND if its even worth it after reading reviews of how horrible the sneakers are! If I could give 0 Stars I would.
Terrible shoes! Uncomfortable small pointed toes box squishes toes. The heel is too high forcing your foot forward smashing it into the narrow toe boxes. I have a normal foot wight not narrow and differently not wide. These she's poor quality and uncomfortable
We were excited about this brand and the company's promise to be the best comfort shoes. I bought 2 pairs for the office and a 3 pairs of tennis shoes for my family. The shoes are heavy including the tennis shoes. We got tired, almost right after we put them on. Shoes are not stable, on top of the sole, there's another narrow sole on the heal, that creates instability. So when walking, my ankles would twist. We lost a lot of money, we exchanged them for others, but it was the same. We wore them for 2 or 3 weeks with the hope they'd get better. It never happened and we couldn't returned them. So we gave the tennis shoes to Goodwill. And my office shoes I took them to a shoe repair shop, to have removed the top soles so I could have more stability. It didn't work, they still heavy. We bought these shoes at the Huntington Beach store. Thank you for reading.
I like them and they do help my posture and my back. The problem is they only last 6 months under normal wear... The soles and heels separate from the body of the shoe Tried using various glues but none would hold for long I have bought at least 4pairs in the last 3 years Why is it you can buy a cheap pair of sneakers and they last forever. Even the dress shoes the heels separate
I know buy them used on ebay as I can't afford that kind of money on new ones any more.
Edward OConnell Deltona, Fl P.S. now they want a photo of proof of purchases yeh like I save all my receipts
Bought these shoes with the intent of assisting my back and neck pain. Not only did they not work but they are terribly uncomfortable. They are very heavy and not pliable. I am really sorry that I purchased them and will now have to discard them because I am too late to return them.
Answer: Send them back using their label or a FedEx or Ups label. But keep proof and request the delivery company to send you proof they received it. I still have not received acknowledgement, a refund, or responses to 2 emails to customer service.
Answer: Good question. It's more like no customer service. Completely nonresponsive to return and request for refund.
