On 12/31/21 I placed an order on Walmart dot com, for a delivery (not groceries). The delivery was scheduled for 1/1/22. On 1/1/22 I got a notification that my order was delayed. So I waited for awhile for it to update. Nothing changed for hours, so I contacted them through chat. I was told to wait until 10:00 P.M. and that they would send a notification to the store. Still nothing. So the chat agent requested a call back.
I got a call from Walmart and from their records the store didn't even start the order. At that point I just wanted a full refund. But because I purchased a giftcard specifically for this order, they couldn't offer me a refund.
I tried calling the store and was told by the associate that they don't do deliveries and the manager was in. So I had not choice but to cancel the order.
So I'm stuck with this gift card and the token "store credit" for the inconvenience.
So I redid my order at a different store on 1/2/22. It was supposed to be delivered on 1/3/22. Surprise! My order was delayed again. Tried to call customer service. Their hold tone said 5 minutes. I chose to get a call back and I still haven't gotten one 5 hours later. I contacted the chat again and was told the driver canceled the order. This agent told me they would send a notification to the store and to wait until 8:00 P.M. Again, nothing. I tried calling this store. No answer at all. I tried calling them for over an hour. Now I'm on a chat with a manager who decided to cancel my order without asking me and I only knew because a notification popped up on my phone. He keeps saying this is the best option.
So now I'm stuck in a Walmart loop where they won't refund my cash for the giftcard and keep canceling my order, telling me to reorder (where else am I spending a Walmart gift card), and having my order delayed, just to start all over again.

The issues with Walmart grocery are not limited to delivery, pickup is also insane. The shear amount of different issues I consistently have are astronomical, in fact I think the workers can check off every f--- up that could possible be f----- up. Stolen goods, employees who list an order as out for delivery but the order is sitting at the store, rotten groceries left for 2 days in the store pickup area, never actually delivered, zero communication, employees pretending to be answering machines so while their other employee friends giggle in the background, employees hanging up on you when you try to find your order because it's left out, employees who leave your order on hold indefinitely, rude staff, rude managers who know of there issues but don't penalize the employees, or find people who want to work professionaly. Ive had to pick up my delivery order SO SO SO many times at several local Walmart's near me because the stupid teens/college kids really quite simply DO NOT CARE about you, your order, or their job. Broken items, items in ripped bags, canned goods that look and probably were intentionally damaged upon arrival, orders that are are listed as delivered but are stolen... I mean honestly I can't even name all of the issues I have experienced MAINLY at my 2 local stores but also another location 30 minutes away because I THOUGHT it MIGHT have better service... it didn't. (check out my missing order since NOVEMBER of this year, I had it escalated but no one ever got back to me, and I was refused a refund several times by the a**holes they hire online and by phone because supposedly they thought is was going to be delivered by USPS. I wrote corporate, never heard back. Called the store and got hung up on. Went to the store and management never showed up after having them paged several times and waited 30 minutes in the store.)
I have to say that after switching to INSTACART I am paying more, but I am also getting more out of it, and getting what every customer should be getting regardless of location... quality goods, real deliveries, no thefts (yet), ON TIME deliveries some even *gasp* EARLY, and most importantly polite and professional workers.
Late deliveries, cancelled orders, items missing, rotting produce, damaged items, refunds due but never received - over $400 of EBT/SNAP total.
6 hours late not even here yet. 4 calls to customer support all just delaying it another hour and than another hour. NEVER ORDER FROM WALMART EVER!

I TRIED TO CONTACT OCEANSIDE MARRON WALMART MANAGER AND WAS DISCONNECTED. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND OUT WHO LOADED THE CAR NOR VIEW VIDEO OF "PICK UP". MADE
DISPUTE WITH MY CITI CREDIT CARD FOR FRAUDULENT CHARGES BY OCEANSIDE CA WALMART AND NOT RECEIVING ITEMS. WALLY SENT CITI CREDIT CARD A SALES RECEIPT THAT READ ORDER WAS "PICKED UP". CITI CREDIT CARD DID NO RESEARCH SUCH AS PROOF OF WHO PICKED UP ORDER SO CITI CARD SIDED WITH WALMART AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE "PICKED UP"=STOLEN ORDER. NEXT STEP IS TO FILE POLICE REPORT AGAINST WALMART AND ALSO REPORT TO CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU AGAINST CITI CREDIT CARD. UNLIKE 1000'S OF OTHER DISSATISFIED WALLY CUSTOMERS I WILL STILL SHOP THERE BUT CASH ONLY. I LEARNED A RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE LESSON ABOUT CREDIT CARDS, DO NOT BELIEVE THE "YOU ARE ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR $50 LAW" BECAUSE THAT IS ONLY IF YOUR CREDIT CARD SIDES WITH YOU AND IN THIS CASE CITI CREDIT CARD DID NOTHING TO RESEARCH THE SITUATION (THEY MAY NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY BUT JUST THE SAME YOUR GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DOLLAR AMOUNT OF FRAUD UNLESS THE PERSON WHOM COMMITTED THE FRAUD ADMITS IT. BEWARE/BE WARNED. I MIGHT OF EXPECTED THIS FROM A ONLINE OVERSEAS MERCHANT BUT NOT A LOCAL OCEANSIDE CA WALMART. WHETHER IT WAS A CLERICAL ERROR OR WALMART INTERNAL EMPLOYEE THEFT I AM PAYING MY MONEY FOR THIS INJUSTICE.
Tried the two week free trial. I was so excited and planned to pay the 98 annual fee tomorrow when the trial was over.
After the problems I had with the service I found out why.
I researched online and discovered that many drivers refuse to deliver for Walmart on a nationwide scale. Apparently, Walmart contracts through several third party delivery places like Instacart, Door Dash etc. The drivers are told they won't have to wait more than five minutes in the pick up area for our orders to be brought to their cars. There are TONS of reviews by drivers stating that they get stuck waiting 30 - 45 minutes for an order to be brought out. This makes them late on all other orders they had lined up at other stores to pick up and deliver. Therefore, MANY drivers select the "block Walmart" option on their order page. They then never see Walmart orders available again. THIS is what causes so many of us to have issues with Walmart delivery. Walmart can never get drivers to come get our orders.
I always tip well. I live near the store. I was so so excited to discover Walmart delivery services because at my specific store they deliver almost ANYTHING the store sells, not just groceries. I was so very excited to be able to order everything I need for office, granddaughter, food, etc. BUT with every single order being a problem. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. I am sadly going to not continue. My free trial is up tomorrow. I will cancel.
I have placed four orders (Due to snow in TN, they shut down delivery for a week so I really only got a one week free trial but that is okay).
I placed first order. It never showed up. After two hours on the phone it was determined the driver canceled and they could not find another driver before they closed delivery for the night.
A nice young man on the phone at the actual store was super helpful. He called his manager at home and the manager authorized a refund, and a $95 Walmart gift card as an apology.
I re-ordered everything and it was delivered the next day.
Then I place second order.
It was canceled without explanation.
Their app also claims YOU canceled the order, when in fact THEY do it and never even bother to let you know until you check why it has not arrived. And on this order, I paid for express two hour delivery. Again, two hours on phone and discover no driver available.
Third order. No show. Canceled by the store because they did not have enough employees that day to shop the delivery orders so the manager apparently canceled EVERY delivery and pick up ordered scheduled for after 6 pm that day. My money was again refunded, which does not help, when I need the groceries! Final attempt. Placed order number FOUR. Canceled. No notification. Just does not show up. I check app and it says order on the way. But it was not. Called store and was told, again they had no drivers.
I'm done.
Ordered groceries 5/8 still no groceries on 5/9. MY MOTHER'S DAY IT RUINED MY MOTHER'S DAY VACATION TO SUNNY ORLANDO RUINED! ORDER CANCELLED
I called numerous times they kept requesting a new driver. Eventually I got annoyed and canceled it
Answer: Non existent. You get a refund - no redelivery when they screw up. Worthless.
Answer: No one wants to work. Unless you tip well they won't take delivery
