Walmart now contracts out with other companies to deliver their groceries and it's now the DRIVERS and NOT the employees picking your order. If they don't see the item, they just tag it as "out of stock," but then don't pick the substitutions they're supposed to pick. When Walmart employees use to pick the orders I'd ALWAYS get a text saying, "substitutions have been picked for your order, and some items were out of stock. Please check in or call within the next 60 minutes to approve the substitutions and to order replacement for out of stock items." Well now, the driver doesn't do ANY of that. To these low quality service drivers, in their minds, "you don't get what you don't get. Too bad." I'm disabled, and can't get to the store, so I NEED EVERYTHING I ORDERED. I need to be able to have that 60 mins to find a replacement! PLUS...I have to tip these "I don't give a crap minded" drivers, MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE SAME ORDER when I have to put in another order another day to get the items the first lazy bahookie refused to shop!

The worst thing Walmart ever did was stop having their own employees fill your orders. When they started contracting out their deliveries, service quality fell into the black hole. Good grief those drivers don't care if you get your items or if your bananas are brown, or anything! But a Walmart employee did care! The other problem is, there's NOWHERE TO COMPLAIN! When the store employees did it, you could call the store manager and it wouldn't happen again. With these yahoos, you don't even know who or what is picking your order!
WALMART GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! By the time I pay my $12 a month Walmart plus fee, then another $30 in monthly tips having drivers bring multiple orders, it's no longer worth it. I'm not saving any money. Ive decided to go old school and pay a nice high school kid $40 a month to pick up my order at the pickup stall. $40 a month to get my groceries and bring them in? At least I'm not paying some worthless contracted company who doesn't give a crap and now some high schooler can get community service credits for their college scholarship application

People might often ask you …. Which is better, Amazon, or Walmart?

I can tell you, Walmart is so bad I would never use their service again, unless it vastly improved. Amazon is so good. They've never made a mistake in 10 years that I've use them except for one time and they made it up by giving me some thing that was much more valuable than what they missed.

I had ordered food and Walmart without my permission substituted medication, …. Boil oil, designed to alleviate the harmful effects of skin boils, instead of the ingredients necessary for the food I was cooking at my brother's party.

Walmart, made a substitution and wanted to deliver decided to deliver something completely different to the fungicide I ordered. Boil oil for skin boils!

Walmart Delivery is like a joke. But they aren't funny. They make bizarre substitutions without permission and charge you for unwanted substitutions and they don't ask if they can substitute They tell you they're going to do it unless you somehow cancel. But it's extremely difficult to cancel and I wasted an hour trying to do it. This was a very busy time for me.

There's issues at Walmart, not giving you all your things aand delivering it to the wrong address or putting it on the side of your house and not telling you it had been left there …. Overcharging you or charging for items you haven't received

I don't think I've ever experienced any retail organization that was so toxic … they are like a huge cancer, whose products come at a competitive price… but when you order something to be delivered, their service hurts more than it satisfies and you pay a huge monetary penalty for being
abused

Amazon will send you something better. They don't give you a choice of take what you don't want or take nothing as Walmart does. My vote would be do not purchase from Walmart…. Use Amazon.

Walmart needs to improve. There was a time when I received a few orders that were correct and the delivery was actually early…. In my case the early delivery wasn't good because I wasn't at home on the day they delivered it. But Walmart Delivery has since turned into chaos, and nothing is right.

Through average now is 1.3 stars. I just don't understand how they can be so bad, but they are really bad. I have to worry about paying for things I didn't order. I have to worry about not receiving when I ordered and being charged, so check your bank. The nightmares of the home delivery. Being overcharged or charged for items not received. Completely unreliable on time. Substituting items without your permission and you have to change it online or they'll deliver it to you. Walmart is a nightmare and it's difficult to escape because once they are delivering you will get your money back.

I spent 2 hours today between an online chat with a Walmart rep and trying to call the store and the 1-800 number about my order that was not delivered.
Walmart had sent me an email that the order was delayed but it would be delivered in less than 2 hours.
When 2 hours came and went, I went to the help options about my order, and it took me to an online chat. We chatted online for over an hour only to find out there was nothing he could do except to tell me that my order contents had gotten spoiled in someone's car, so they were returned to the store by the driver.
He was not able to intervene with the store to find out when the items would be delivered. Neither he nor I were able to cancel the order online either. I wanted to cancel it and reorder for express delivery but have the $10 fee waived since the order was by then about 3-4 hours late.
So I tried calling the local store to talk with a person in their pickup and delivery depth. The phone just rang for several minutes and then cut me off. I tried again, and the same thing happened.
I finally called again and pressed 0 to reach the store operator. She said that everyone in the pickup and delivery dept had gone home, and she had no way to find out what they were doing with my order. But she highly recommended that I call the 1-800 number to register a complaint because the team all left to go home without letting me know when or if they planned to deliver the order.
So I called the 1-800 number and the person there just repeated what the online chat rep told me about 2 hours earlier, that they ruined my order. But she had no idea what their plans were. She suggested that I cancel the order and reorder as express delivery, paying $10 which would not be refunded. I told her that I wasn't able to cancel the order online and that since the entire dept had left the store by at the latest 5 PM, I couldn't get express delivery anyway.
I told her that I had been encouraged to call them to register a complaint about the poor customer service and communication by my local store. She did send me a $25 off coupon on another order.
Now after waiting at home all afternoon for this delivery, it might be delivered tomorrow or it might not be. So I will probably have to stay home all or most of tomorrow too, waiting for an order that might or might not come.
When their deliveries are done correctly, it's fine. But about one in every 5 to 10 deliveries gets really messed up, order not delivered and no communication, delivered to some other address and not knowing where, or the wrong order sent to me and my order sent to someone else.

I have always ordered Groceries from Walmart, usually twice a month, the first year was fine, then since July last year, they have failed to deliver on the day and time slot that the groceries supposed to come. After waiting for more than another hour, you called Customer Services, they told you they will call the store to find out what happened, then they either said the Store did not answer the phone, or the Store said the driver is on their way which is a total lie. You waited for another couple of hours, they still told you the same thing but do nothing. You told them from past experience, if they don't show up at the time slots you ordered, they will never come, and asked Customer Service to cancel the order and refund you, such that you can put the exactly same order on the next day. Customer Services will said they have to call the store to cancel before they can issue the refund. Well the Store never cancel the order and ths status still said processing after 6 hrs. Your get so upset that you file a complaint with BBB and attached all the screenshots that Walmart pretended to show the driver is 15 min away and is coming, but the vehicle never moved, then the screen changed drivers name, but the car still did not move. I come to the conclusion that the Store is lying and is totally irresponsible, and so is the Customer Service who did not want to do nothing for the customer, they can see that the groceries is never delivered, but they refused to issue the refund, so that you can reorder the same thing the next day. The Head Office called and apologize and have the Store Manager called as well and assured you it will never happens again, and told you they have put notation on the computer that if the Store failed to deliver on the time slot allocated, instead of asking the customer waiting for nothing, should cancel the order and issue the refund. But when it happens again, Customer Service Rep said they can never find that notation even if you gave them the date last happened. They are totally pathetic and if you notice one thing, after charging you $7.97 for delivery, they started to sneak in an extra tip of 15% for the driver, which I notice and remove it. That tells me, instead of paying the driver themselves out of the delivery charge, they even want the customer to pay more to pay for the driver whatever company they are using now. Therefore I come to the conclusion that if Walmart is not using their own driver, you will never get your groceries. Also the worst part is if they failed to deliver, instead of putting Store failed to deliver, they put "Changed mind, no longer wanted" Never even want to admit their mistake. Do not know what kind of business it is that Walmart had gone so bad these days, totally irresponsible, totally negligence, and no customer satisfaction whatsoever!

I order my groceries on line to be delivered. In the past 2 months, I have had several instances where the groceries were charged and not delivered. The common denominator was when there was alcohol in the order. I then have to call the 800 number, report the missing order and get it refunded to my card before placing the order again and there's no convenient way to place the order again at once, I have to re-enter every item. When I talked to the store yesterday, they said that the delivery service is contracted out and this happens frequently. He looked up the name of the driver assigned to my order and said that sadly he recognized his name as a frequent driver that did not deliver the goods. They are supposed to post a picture after they leave the order and while there is a picture attached to the delivery, the photo is not of the delivery, it's just an image of a wall or something. I spend $150 to $200 per order and what a shame for Walmart to continue eating the cost of these failed deliveries, refunding the customer without managing their supplier. The attitude of the store is "this is a corporate contracted 3rd party, so there's nothing we can do". I'm sure the cost of all the grocery refunds is reflected in prices as a whole, not to mention the inconvenience to customers who are very busy or wouldn't be using the service to begin with. The store I buy from is Palmetto Florida and it seems to be a common problem there. I order from Walmart because the prices are competitive and the products are quality, even the generics but the inconvenience of having to place and replace orders is driving me to order from their competitor from now on. Sad that a company this size can't solve these issues with their suppliers. I am in supply chain in my profession and I wouldn't be as complacent about holding people to the service level they guarantee and that I pay for. One other issue I have with the service is that if they do not have the specific item you requested, many times they will just remove it as unavailable instead of trying to find a substitute. I have even had bottled water marked unavailable and then went in the store afterward to find other cases of bottled water readily available. This is a major inconvenience because if I needed the product, I STILL have to go into that store or another store to buy it which negates the reason for ordering on line in the first place. I have also had "popular" items missing even though scanned and charged, such as candy, bacon and alcohol. If I report it, I get a refund. Many times, I just don't want to be bothered to call back. Walmart -- stand behind your service as advertised and improve your process!
