I booked a room thinking I was on the actual hotel site. Come to find out it was on this Guest Reservations site. When I looked closer at the total cost, it didn't line up. As I looked closer they charged me $217.64 in Tax Recovery & Service Fees. My room was only $400.18. On the actual hotel site the entire hotel fee was $376 room rate + 46.34 (taxes) for a total of $422.34. They were charging me $195.48 over what the hotel was charging. It is a total scam! Also I was a day past when I could cancel so they completely screwed me! I will watch much more carefully next time and make sure I never book with them again!
I thought I was on the hotel website. I clicked of reserve too quickly and ended up paying almost 50% more than id I had used the hotel website, expedia or hotels.com. Be warned.

Lied about being affiliated with the hotel, and charged me an extra $100 for service fees. Disgusting.

After making a room reservation for $475.08 over Internet I was charged to my credit card $727.05, this is $251.97 or 53%! More. I called immediately (less than 5 minutes) to the booking company to cancel the operation, but they refuse to do it adducing that this is the contract they have. This is the disclosure of the payment sent to me as an explanation:
Subtotal US$475.08
Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees* US$251.97
Amount Paid US$727.05

Hi Manuel, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Their online advertising continues to deceive consumers into believing they are booking direct to the hotel. They do not provide details of upcharges and their cancelation policy until after clicking what one thinks is just a confirmation page to make sure the reservation is correct. And Then its too late-gotcha! Not only do you find out after clickibg this, That you're immediately booked and charged with a 3rd party, you get to see the real cost of your error. BBB has followed them for 1 year after 1800+ complaints. They have changed their name getaroom.com guestreservations.com but are still deceiving consumers. It took me eight minutes to realize they were 3rd party and I canceled in 8 minutes, found the real hotel phone number, called to book direct AFTER I verified they had no other reservation for me (they didnt) and getaroom still rooked me for $1545. 52. Image that looks like La Quinta, is not the hotel, it is getaroom.com
Still looking at options for justice.

Went to the website thinking it was the hotel site and it wasn't. Didn't have the opportunity to see the full charges before hitting the confirm button. Once you hit it you get the full bill. There's huge fees added that nowhere in the booking process is explained. Could have gotten it a lot cheaper on the actual hotel site. Steer clear of this website. They will not allow you to cancel after you figure out you have been scammed either. Horrible! I would give zero stars if I could.
Does no good to call. They will tell you you can't cancel per the hotel policy. I talked to the hotel and they told me I could still cancel and if guestreservations.com told me I couldn't they were lying. I told the person that when I called them and then she said I could cancel but I won't get my money back. What good does that do? This place is a bunch of scammers. Please pay attention when you reserve a hotel and don't let them scam you. Call the hotel directly. It's too easy these days for other companies to spoof websites and make you believe they are the real deal.

I accidentally booked through Guest Reservations because they came up as a "sponsored" link, first in my search, when I searched for the hotel website to book. The website it took me to mimicked the hotel's website and I believed I was booking directly with the hotel. The site quoted me a price, took my card info, and then charged me a 50% "service" fee on top of the quoted price--which was not disclosed before I put in my card information. They tell you the reservation is not refundable (even immediately after booking). I paid $237 for a $134 room. DO NOT USE this website and watch out for the works "guest reservations" at the top of the page if you think you are booking direct.

Do not use this site. The website is misleading, they charge 3x what they quote and then charge a cancellation fee. Absolutely criminal!
Hi Kay, our customer support agents are committed to your satisfaction. So we can securely look into this, please private message/DM us your reservation number, email address, and name the reservation was made under. Thank you.
STAY AWAY!
Booked a hotel and, my fault, not paying attention they added $69.00 fee above the cost of the the room. This is nonrefundable so I'm stuck with the outrageous charge!

I accidentally tried to hook a hotel room through their website, thinking it was the official hotels site. Their site declined my payment, so I never got a reservation. They did take payment from my card for all attempted "failed" bookings. The contact phone numbers do not work. No contact email and no way to even submit a query without a reservation number. Have blocked the transactions on my card to stop this scam.

BUYER BEWARE!
Guest-Reservations sucks you in with valid, competitive offers, then subtotals the full cost of the proposed offer for your inspection. You are then given the opportunity to agree/or disagree with their no cancelation policy which reads as follows:
"This rate is non-refundable and cannot be changed or canceled - if you do choose to change or cancel this booking you will not be refunded any of the payment. "
Up to this point in their process everything is legitimate, but once you agree and provide your payment information, you receive your confirmation and a big surprise service fee that was never agreed to in advance (see pic of service charge that was added after the fact) I had no apprehension to their non-refundable policy, but adding an unagreed-upon service charge after the fact is a major problem, because I didn't agree to not being entitled to recourse in the event of fraud, and what they're doing is clearly within the legal definition of fraud.
When I called the hotel directly, they confirmed that my room had been booked (by Guest Reservations) as promised, but they did so, posing as PRICELINE.COM. When I called Priceline.com and spoke directly with one of their Reps, they informed me that they had no relationship with Guest-Reservations and had no knowledge of Guest-Reservations activities.
I reported Guest-Reservations to Priceline.com, Wyndham Inns/La Quinta, and called my credit card issuer and filled out a dispute. Fortunately, I have screen-shots of everything I was offered and agreed to, but that doesn't change the fact that this was/is an unnecessary hassle that I'm now being forced to deal with at a time when there are many other things I should be focusing my attention on.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH: GUEST-RESERVATIONS

This website appears at the top of Google search results and includes pictures of the hotel you're interested in, so it's very easy to book through them thinking you're booking directly with a hotel. This happened to me last night and I was very upset to realize this morning that I was charged $77 in unnecessary fees (which were not made clear upon booking) and that my reservation is nonrefundable. Important reminder not to click the first link I'm served!

The website asks you to complete reservation before displaying the total cost, which includes exorbitant fees. The total cost is "hidden" below, where one would not normally scroll down to. But once you hit the reservation button it's too late to change or cancel. While the company will say they show the total cost, it is not in an easy place to view. I find this to be deceptive.

Beware: if you browse multiple websites to look for the best price per night or per travel site. Guest reservations will take your money before they've let you see what you are paying for. Didn't press confirm? That doesn't matter to guest reservations! You gave them your credit card info. And if you were looking at unrefundable reservations? Well then they won't give that momey back even if you explain to them the unlawful situation. Skip guest reservations, use someone more trust worthy.
Loana, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
They charge significantly more than the hotel website with hidden resort fees and taxes that add up to the cost of an additional night's stay.

What cheaters! This s a total rip-off! You think you are getting a good deal and once they have your credit card info and you can't cancel, you seen the small print that they have charged almost double in "taxes and service charges"! Disgusting! I have never been so cheated in my whole life! These people should be ashamed of themselves!

I hope Guest Reservations is not fraudulent. But I made a booking, paid by credit card, which has been processed now. But they failed to send a confirmation number. Their email support does not work, will not send anything, if you do not have a confirmation number and neither did the phone contact provided for me. So they have the money but I have no proof of payment from them or any emails at all. I do not want to use a public forum to complain without hearing from them but they leave no alternative. If you read this, GAT, please reply. It is not looking very open, honest and efficient to me, at the very least.
Lindsay, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
They make it look like you are dealing directly with the hotel which is what I thought I was doing. Their fees ARE NOT CLEARLY IDENTIFIED. The final non refundable total billed to my card was an additional 50% more than the price shown. This place OFFERS NO ADDED VALUE AND IS A RIPOFF. STAY AWAY.

This site is dishonest. First of all it looks as if you are going on to the site of the hotel you want - I typed in the name, it came up, it invited me to book online and I did. Thinking I was dealing directly directly with the hotel. The price looked similar to others I had seen quoted here in New Zealand. It was only once my payment had gone through did it show that not only was the price I saw in USD (as much again as $NZD) but that $USD99 had been added to the price! So all up I paid double what I was expecting to.
I tried to cancel it immediately once I saw that I was dealing with Guest Reservations site but I could not get through to anyone on the phone. I wrote an email requesting a cancellation and refund but have heard nothing.
This company and their practices are fraudulent - all other booking sites in my experience offer the chance for immediate cancellation and refund if a mistake has been made at the time of booking, and quote their rates in the currency of the country they are operating from.other people - BEWARE OF THEM…..
