Overall, the booking process was smooth. But this confirmation of booking by GuestReservations, without knowing which city or hotel you are referencing was not good. I book a lot of hotels. Just mentioning GuestReservations almost made me delete the email without responding, thinking it was Spam/Junk email.
Site jumps in from valid site and charges cancellation fee as soon as you realize you've been scammed. Watch Out!
Do not use this site. The website is misleading, they charge 3x what they quote and then charge a cancellation fee. Absolutely criminal!

The manager Mr. Patel told me the room i reseverd was a very small room. He suggested I upgrade for an extra $40. He also suggested that I call guest reservations to cancel my order with them and then he will rebook me into the same room with a lot less money. This is the best Western in Braintree managed by Mr. Patel. His tactics were sneaky and unprofessional and he also threaten my husband about evicting us. I would never recommend this hotel or your guest reservations website to anybody else.
BE CAREFUL! It's a fraud! They charge me 4500. 00 for 2 nights in Toronto IT WAS NEVER THE PRICE BEFORE I ACCEPTED! They charged me in my visa! Be careful..

Do not use this reservation site. Unless you review the site carefully and read complete Terms of Service you will not see that you are paying an excessive "service fee" and that they will not allow cancelLations or changes after the reservation is made. They hide the service fee by listing (after the price of the room) a "Tax Recovery and Service Fee Charge". We booked a room through them on 17 August 2021 and after submitting the request noticed that the "Tax Recovery Service Fee Charge" for a $127 room was almost $50. The total hotel taxes in the location was 6.2%, so around $8, meaning their service charge was about $42 - ridiculously high when other do the service for no charge to the customer. Also the $127 rate was easily obtained directly from the hotel. Realizing we were being ripped off we tried to cancel the reservation and learned that well into the long "Terms of Services" it states they don't allow cancellations or changes even if the hotel will (in other words they get their service charge no matter what, even if the hotel is OK with the change or cancellation). There is no indication on their web site that there is no cancelation or change refund except buried in the Terms of Service. We called trying to cancel and after asking some polite questions were hung up on. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT IS NOT UP FRONT ABOUT THEIR FEES OR CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY. This transaction was done by credit card so there are no photos
This is a con company using google ads to pretend that they are the hotel and charge +100% of the rate. STAY AWAY

I was surprised that my credit card was charged. I was under the impression I would pay later. Very dissatisfied that it was. I didn't see where my card would be charged until check-out. I will from now on call the hotels myself and not use your service again,
System was totally confusing, the first notice I had of the refund of my cancelled reservation at Gatwick was on my credit card statement, and the deduction for the Heathrow reservation likewise. Considering I paid the extra for the privilege of being able to cancel, was more than a little surprised to see the monies being taken now.
I wish I could give this company less than one star... the whole site is a scam and the only reason I booked with them was because I thought I was booking through the hotel itself.
My first issue is I booked with them the night before I flew to my designated city, the company I work for requires us to book directly through the hotel and not a third party site for tax reasons so I called to cancel. I was then told you only receive a full refund if you cancel two days before your reservations, I thought this was ridiculous considering I booked the room the day before... how could I possible cancel it 2 days before when I had not even booked the room initially?
After I was told I couldn't cancel, I did some digging and found this site actually charges you more than if you were to call the hotel directly for a room. They actually charged me $60 more than if I would have just gone through the hotel itself.
Next, I get to my hotel that I booked through this site only to be told I could not check into my room because I was under the age of 21. No where on the site was it mentioned you had to be 21 or over to book a room with the specific hotel I chose. By this point in the day I'm exhausted because of my flight and it is below freezing outside. I was on hold with Guest Reservations for OVER AN HOUR only for them to tell me the hotel had put them on hold and they were waiting to hear back from them. They told me they would call me back or send me an email when they had discussed my refund with the hotel and could process it.
It's two days later and I still haven't received a call or email, nor my refund I was told I was receiving. Even if you have a legitimate concern with this company they make you jump through the most ridiculous hoops in order to even talk to an actual person instead of a computer, let alone resolve your problem. I can not warn everyone reading this enough to NOT book with this scam of a company.

This service charges more than the room I booked! They are a useless third party! They charged me $170 for a $170 room, doubling the price! WTF?!?!
Hi Brian, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
They overcharge you more than the listed rate. When you try to reach them it is impossible to contact them.
This was one of the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. We flew in from San Diego and checked in on Wednesday 23,2020 and after checking in my wife noticed that the bathroom was not clean, then after taking a closer look the refrigerator and the microwave was not clean, the carpet had a foot odor smell to it. One of the days we got in and there was a note slipped under our door that said due to short staffing they would no clean for that day. My concern is that in this high charge COVID-19 environment cleanliness should be job number one. I spoke with all managers on duty at any given time. Entrance way carpet was not clean, hallway leading to our room was not clean.
The booking was bull$#*!. Was charged twice with no help at all. Was charged through the booking company & then again through the hotel.
Hi Robert, Guest Reservations must charge for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee we are able to offer 24/7 support & operate as an independent travel network. Please DM your reservation # and email. We will reach out to help.
Very good internet transaction. UPC ming stay on 8/4/23 anticipated to be just as good.
Hidden fees up to $200! No refunds! Better off booking direct with the hotel! Terrible company and customer service. Stay away.
