IDME asked for my information,
(Mine was easy because much of my information is saved on file.
They then asked for a fingerprint, which was obtained by placing my finger on the back of my cellphone.
Then they asked for a picture,
Again, asking me to take a selfie with my cellphone.
Nerve racking at first but as soon as I calmed it was a great experience and the agent was very helpful.
I went in there to get help to open up my status. The worker did excellent job but cannot pull up my entry because of new password and stuff like that. Thank you so much for the help but the government I don't think they don't help as much as I think they should do. Thank you!

It was very professionally done and easy to follow. The process allowed me to access much better communications with the overseas Govt Authority. Very helpful.
Never heard of ID.me until this experience. Took FOREVER. BUT it did work eventually. I had to wait online live, 28 mins for the video interview/verification. You must inform customers of this type of wait, and keep them engaged or they will fly away. Most browser based portals like this just crash and lock up.
Also, seemed as tho many pages were redundant. Same info required over and over. I wasnt sure I was getting anywhere. Also perhaps a page with a brief outline of what will/is about to happen. I had NO idea what was going on or why.
Lastly, dont make us download your app. Lame. Im not a vendor. I was forced to use ID.me thru my State Unemployment office. It was a bit of an ordeal. But, It did work, in the end. Thanks.
Misplaced my password and needed my ID.me credentials for a qualified purchase. Recovery and reset with the system was a quick and easy task.
This is the only way I would access ssa.gov. I kept getting the text to set up my account but I already had an account with my email.
This site did not allow to set up credentials for an incorporated small business. Unable to reach a person to assist. Nothing but automated systems, with no option for help. And NO answer as to how to set my small business up to make Federal tax deposits via EFTPS.

It will take time and patience to complete this ID check in order to secure federal information for the clearance needed to handle sensitive information for your agency.
Every person I talked with was professional and very helpful.
Process was easy to follow with clear questions and directions. Site windows were uncluttered, bolded question typeface, and all pertinent info on single frame so as not to confuse participant. I didn't need to scroll to find the 'Next' button or answer multiple questions from one frame.
I was able to get my ID checked quick and easy. Now I will have it done when ever I need it again.
