Scam of a company.

So I just ordered an order at around 11:45am. My quote time was 12:20. I specified 2 times that they NEED to call when they arrive as the lobby is locked. I'm in the back of the building. Disabled and haven't slept after coming off a 12 hour shift. I was texting the shopper Michael and he was making substitutions. So anyways I'm waiting. And a text message comes through my order is here and they will wait 10 mins and I respond to it right away. Then text says cannot respond to texts and 2 call and right after says my order has been cancelled. Like what? No call, responded right away. Call the number. The girl says she apologizes she sees I put the number 2x and there is an issue on the driver's end and he will no longer be able to deliver my order. I ask why not and she says I can't disclose that. This isn't personal information lady! She offers me the $2+ tax backing paid for priority shipping on my next order. I say to her I won't be ordering. Not only did they charge me the amount which was $155 and change, they charged me a cancelation fee of $15 and charged me AGAIN to resend the order back. It won't be priority and the driver probably also got the TiP! I will be watching my credit card statement. Like I'm getting charged interest for this $#*!

Shoppers do not always deliver all the products you purchase or order. In trying to resolve this issue satisfactorily I just got the runaround as they tried to get me to accept $5 for not receiving the 5 missing items.

Customer "support"

Customer support is abhorrent. AI generated responses are garbage. Not one email (of many) wa responded to with anything but a canned auto response. They have no one who speak English to speak with in the call center in the middle of Asia and don't do anything to solve even the most minor of disputes!

My most recent message got mixed up with THREE other angry customers where we are all receiving each other's responses to the robot auto messages!

What a joke!

Buyer beware! Shopping is hit or miss but corporate is a joke with no sense of obligation to customers.

Horrible, useless, feckless "support."

Shame on them!

Two orders cancelled by shoppers on Instacart
We are paying premium prices and membership fees and tips for shoppers. Why should we get less items on our list and be lied to by the shoppers. Their website info is wrong because it shows out of stock items as available. This is how businesses fail. Instacart should know that.
The shoppers are focusing on refunds to customers because they are too lazy to find items.
They are rude or in a hurry to quickly check out. Instacart has no control over their shoppers.

STAY AWAY!

They have no honor. At least 40% of all orders have minor to MAJOR issues, and after the first several they refuse to stand behind their... well let's call it a service for the time being. They blame their clients for reporting THEIR OWN mistakes and won't make good on them past a certain point. STAY AWAY!

I am disabled and needed a service like this. Shoppers do not follow instructions. Left food in lobby. Would not carry to apt door and expected me to ask a neighbor! Refused to send someone back and offered a $5.00 credit on a $156.00 order. Missing items…no bread? What store doesn't have bread? Never use this service. Horrible shoppers, customer service and prices are ridiculous. Charge "heavy charge for a case of water yet expect a disabled person to carry it upstairs'. BOYCOTT INSTACART!

Lots of fees

I did a home del. For free-which is not free-The del. Was free, but a service fee of $4, plus at least 25 cents to a dollar more per item from Aldi's, okay I get it convenience, but I put down $0 tip and it kept saying your person can see and your order may be delayed in someone picking up. I did not realize the person del. Order is also the person pulling the order, meaning they don't know the store and can say out of stock, bc they are shopping not barcoding like reg. Store pullers in order to easily find end cap items. Because it was Aldi there was also.36 cent charge for grocery bags. I did have a great del. And puller person. I just don't like even if you get a membership you will still be charged a service fee, and made to fee horrible if you don't tip. My thing is if you pay $10 for del. Or free with a membership, then $4 plus in fees to help the platform depending on the $ of your order, then you pay for Aldi bags each time, then you pay tax, and tip, oh and you pay anywhere from 25 cents more per item up to $2 plus more per item-you could pay up to $20 with membership so the free del. To me is a scam, bc if you pd. $25 more on groceries bc of the upcharge, then a service fee of $14 on $200 plus order, plus tip, well door dash is a cheaper deal from Hyvee with a $29-$100 membership, plus there are no fees, pay for the membership-0-fees on Hyvee and then you can or don't have to do tip on door dash, most of these are pd. $6 plus tips-I also love home del., also instant cart charges a fee for pickup, door dash is just a much better deal and HyVee employees pull the order and if there are issues you call Hyvee and within a matter of seconds you get a store credit if there are issues-I am glad I read reviews I won't do instant cart again and I definitely won't do a membership. It took me forever to get my credit car out of the system once I used Aldi with instant cart it took forever to weave through everything to find where they stored my credit card and I don't like also that random drivers pull your order and have access to your credit card that is bad bus. Bc no one to be accountable and from what I can tell you cannot contact or call anyone from instant cart

Worst Customer Service

The customer service is less than abysmal; it is non-existent. If your account is hacked or if you request more refunds than this corporation likes, the account will be restricted for an indefinite period of time and you will lose all your rights as a consumer. At the same time, you cannot refund your annual subscription or any part of it. My account was compromised in the first month of being a customer and I lost access to part of their services. They will not reinstate customer privileges for an indefinite period of time if your account is compromised, used by someone else, or hacked. When I call customer service, they promise to email me a confirmation or to update my account to reflect an agreed-upon change, then never do it. I have called enough times to gather that they are likely trained to outright lie to customers, talk to us like children and not paying adult customers, and either dismiss, minimize, or completely lie about their response to needed help. An opportunistic company that doesn't care about its customers or employees. They have no right to be in business when they treat people so inhumanely. This is closer to being a scam than an actual business, yet they retain the rights and privileges of other businesses. I would rather support my local grocery stores, which treat me as a human being, deserving of respect and dignity.

If I didn't have to use this company ever again, I wouldn't, but I have no choice being disabled. When I tried to call them, I'm put on hold for 10 minutes. What's the two hours late for an order?

I placed an order with instacart for pet supplies, namely fish food. I received a message about a refund for frozen bloodworms and before I could respond (Y/N) I received a message that my shopper has checked out and was on the way. Which resulted in me having to place an additional order to get what I needed. Now I am paying additional delivery fees to ultimately get what I want. This is unacceptable. I have enjoyed the service, but I am not sure how to proceed after today.

Keep stealing money

If I could give them a -10 I would I cancelled my subscription but they kept talking out monthly payments then they took out a years worth of payments this is within two months after I had canceled and after calling them and telling them to cancel my subscription once again and give me back my money they continue to take money out of my account monthly. Terrible company

Would give zero stars if I could! I understand mistakes can happen but I had the same mistake happen three orders in a row! Dealing with customer service made that experience 100 times worse and makes themselves seem sneaky and like they don't uphold there policies. They offered me free delivery off my next order of 35$ and when I took a screen shot from their site and from my account that I Always get free delivery after 35$ (because that is part of the membership) they tried to back track and tell me a different policy then stated on there site

Total Rip Off

They charge you a huge fee for delivery and then a huge service fee, then the tip and then they tax the fees they charge you! It's outrageous. Don't forget, the stores pay them fees as well. Many times you don't get what you order because it's "out of stock". Then what?! I think ALDI should just get their own delivery service! They only good thing is that they will refund pretty fast for damaged food.

Instacart is ripping off the elderly and disabled. There is no customer service. It's all about their revenue. I finally got resolution by telling the company executives and a few board members that I would go to the news and all senior citizens agencies to complain. Still will never use them again.

Instacart stilling your money in SVC fees
And bag fees, one time was charged for 10 bags and was 2 only deliver. Make sure check your receipt, they ripoff for pure svc!
