Instacart is changing on each item in average 30% more then the store price. In addition to the service fee, delivery fee and tip it comes to more then 50% external pay. This is big bid disappointment!
The instacart guy told me my card was expired and I need to take a picture of my card. I check online to make sure my card was right and there was money and refused to give him the picture. He said Never mind he got mixed up after my refusal. When he was delivering my food he was not wearing a mask or anything as well as not social distancing :/
I would give the a rating of MINUS 5 Stars if I could. Two attempts to buy groceries using this so called service to get needed items to a 90+ year old family member on the other side of the state. Both were epic fails. Todays order with padded with unneeded fill items to make the companies minimum dollar value and distinct items ordered. The items needed/ the prime and only reason for the order were not delivered. No contact by text, phone or email that there was a problem with any items, So we spent $22.00 including delivery charge, tip and "service charge" for 3 items that we didn't even need. Cusptomer Service at Instacart including asupervisor could care less and made no effort to make us feel like a valued customer. We will never use them again.
I placed an order yesterday through Instacart and had a horrible experience. The shopper not only stole our items, but the company suspended my account due to a false accusation of aggressive behavior towards shopper. Mind you, we never receieved the items and the shopper accused us of being aggressive. In addition, we never received a refund for the items since they suspended our account. We called customer service and they couldn't access our account because it was blocked due to the complaint. I would not ever trust this service again. Not only does this shopper have our grocery items and we lost money, but now they have our home address and we do not feel safe. If this person stole from us, does this mean that Instacard does not even do background checks on who they hire? We trusted Instacart with our groceries and they matched us with a shopper who not only stole our groceries, but now has our home address and our information.
I am extremely dissapointed on how this situation is being handled. First one of their shoppers steals our items, questioning the safety of Instacart; specifically my home address and financial information. In addition, they place the blame on the customer who has been loyal for months with no grounds and then suspend our account. I hope they realize that their shopper was a fraud and on top of that Instacart proceeds to instead of helping the victim, you assist the thief. What would Instacart do in a situation of an emergency? What if items were in extreme neccesity? I want to remind you that their shopper started shopping on April 2020, we have been loyal longer than that.
Also want to note that I sent them pictures of the chat where I was desperately asking for my items just to be ignored and secondly, the map of the person "dropping off" items in a completely different city.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I was told to wait 1-2 days for it to be fixed and its been 40+ days. They are full of empty promises. For example yesterday I was transferred to a tier-three then they didn't reply to me for 10min and then ended the chat. Y'all support is a joke from what I've seen so far. I was supposed to get a call at 7:30 and nothing came. It was supposed to take 1-2 days to be fixed but nothing happened. I sent emails and was suppose to get a response and nothing happened. I followed all instructions on day 1 and nothing happened and today is day 40. I was told to give y'all some time of a max of 5 days and nothing happens. I was told someone will reach out to me and fix it but however once again nothing happens. It's all empty promises for forty days.
I wish to give zero stars but this option is not available, therefore i am giving one star as a lowest rate possible.
Customer support at Instacart basically does not exist. When you call their number *******822 you have a useless conversation with incompetent representative that tells you to sent an email and wait for reply. As a result you are getting an email thanking you for contacting Instacart and that is it. Nothing else. They deactivated my account without giving any reason or warning and i cannot reactivate it now. They are using the fact that they do not have any competition and ignoring customers as much as they feel.
Instacart shoppers has no way of communicating with their employees when the system goes down. Yesterday shopping for 2 clients They have it as A & B. When I was through shopping A grocery is in my back seat and B grocery in the trunk. I got out the grocery store took picture of both receipt and hit navigate to the first customer. It shows me it was A I was delivering to. On way my Neice call and said unable to get into instacart the system looks like it's crashing she also delivers for them. After I had already delivered. Not knowing the system was down when I hit navigate to the second client was unable to deliver no address coming up showing It showed that I already delivered. So I am stuck over an hour with groceries in the trunk not knowing their system had me delivered to B address instead of A and found out When they deactivated for numerous complaints their system is showing. I had no way of communicating. The client told they had no way of communicate with me as well. Now I am not stupid I have done approximately 15 runs and 12 reviews with 5 stars. I am 57 years old I made sure I communicate with customers while shopping to make sure I picked the correct items if cannot find something so they can give me an alternate. I am so upset because this is unfair. I went back to the first customer and gave her the correct grocery but unable to get the other grocery back due to Covid 19.
Placed an order on line through Superstore to be delivered by Instacart.
The price quoted on line for vegetables & fruits ended with an overcharge of more than double the quoted price.
Bosc pears- quote $2.19 charged $4.37, Red potatoes - quote $4.10 cost $8.74 Oranges Quote $7.87 cost $13.1
& more. I call this gauging specially at this time of Corona. E mails to Instacart were of no help.
Finally after using Instacart for weeks we got the perfect shopper/delivery person. Tanna R. Thank you!
Everything was perfect & she kept in contact the whole time for replacements etc.
Put in my order waited 2 hours for delivery, which was fine. Driver text me "Im sorry, I can not find your address" I text back with assistance. Driver never answers. 1 hour later I check the website and chat with service and they tell me driver CANCELLED order. Service says "its okay, we will reschedule". They give me a time frame 3-10pm. At 10PM NO ORDER is delivered. I chat again on website and they look in to it and tell me, the driver left your food at the wrong house, do you want to reschedule for the morning and we can give a $10 CREDIT. Meanwhile there is 3 charges to card while I'm checking online. Seriously?! Tomorrow?! $10?! This company has no respect for their customers
Beware! Awful experience, shopper was good but Instacart & stores charge much higher online prices, you get charged those prices not the actual store prices which is reflected on your bill. I was overcharged by $90, they try to tell me that is for taxes & tips, which is not true, $90 was in addition to all that. I was also charged for items not received, that is fraudulent, stealing extra money, taking advantage hoping customers do not actually read their bills. DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.
Shopper wore NO gloves, NO mask, and took my license to swipe it with NO social distancing. UNBELIEVABLE that INSTACART protocols during COVID are nonexistent! I wiped entire order down with alcohol and I will NEVER USE instacart again.
I was charged for 10 small hams that I didn't receive totaling $53.90 plus tax. My account was never credited. 2 charges in the same day. I have emailed several times with no response. I should have only been charged $111 which was the first charge on my account the they took another $53.90 out. I want a refund to my account!
This company is robbing off consumers and price gouging. It needs to go out of business. To take advantage of unsuspecting consumers and raise the prices of each item shopped and then charge delivery and service charges is disgraceful. Shut it down!
I see way too many Instacart shoppers without face masks. The next time one comes to my house I'm going to refuse my groceries because if they are this careless in the stores and at my house they are careless and unprofessional in other ways.
I placed an order for boneless chicken breast at $2.49/lbs at Food Bazaar. My order went up from $2.49/lbs to $5.99/lbs. They did not warn me or even cancel the order since the difference is so huge. They only cared about the quantity I ordered but not the price. The bill was supposed to be $50 but went up to $100. Since they already had my credit card details they felt free to charge me whatever they wanted. Be careful! Once you give them your credit card details you are indeed allowing them to rip you off at will.
I have ordered twice and I never got my order and besides the customer service was horrible and they were unable to offer me any solution. This business should be closed because they literally steal your money. Worst experience I have ever had. I am still waiting for my refund. Be careful with them.
So my 2nd order from insta-cart came with many fees which I knew ahead of time and accepted.
Delivery fee $3,99
Tip $15.71
Service fee $7.86
Heavy order fee $5.09
Then my delivery person seemed to make a mistake and leave the physical reciept in the bag.
The receipt total is $131.57 (physical reciept)
Th App reciept states $157.14
That is $25.47 more than the items cost (over and above all of the other fees.
So in the end I paid $189.79 for $131.57 of groceries.
Never again. And this review will be everywhere!
Very short sited. The Instacart is doing shady things: your bill from Instacart will be 20% more (due to mark up) and if you did not reconcile the receipt from the store to the receipt from Instacrt you may be paying for the items you did not actually get or that got replaced with something else and it was not reflected in the price. You can do all kinds of things via app including real time contacting of a person who is doing the shopping, but to contest an item on the bill you have to call and talk and look through the receipt etc. Obviously purposefully convoluted. You would think that with a 20% mark up it all should be included but no. What a scam.
This is my second time using instacart and I should've learned my lesson the first time. They also "forget" products and then your still charged for them... you cant submit multiple problems so of course they keep your money. Not to mention my shopper started shopping at 10am but didn't deliver them until 1:16 because of a random maintenance issue on their ap. Don't use instacart. They don't have a customer service line and they are garbage.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
