Bought it. Set it up. Created face photos and put them in a St. Pats jig using my 5 faces. Published it and sent it out to 20 friends. What they got was the generic faces, NOT the ones I selected. Very disappointed.
I was disappointed when I spent an hour setting up a cool card and at the end it told me I needed to upgrade my account for $12 a year w/automatic renewal. The automatic renewal scares me since the previous reviewer said he could not cancel it! So I found JibJab's address and phone contact info... here it is if anyone else has that problem. You can also find them on Google Earth and actually see their bright red office building in Venice Beach CA. I would like to upgrade but from what I heard the other person said I am now very leery until I get them on the phone. I will place my order ONLY over the phone with them and it WILL be recorded with my flip camera so they cannot deny ever getting my order. I tried the free trial. I was able to do some fun stuff. But then I thought the available video content was a bit limited and not varied enough. HOWEVER, they quickly processed the refund. I would definitely try again in the future, if more video options were available. And also, if they had tools to allow you to edit your photos after you select the face you're using. It would have been nice to be able to lighten or fix the color, after I saw how they look in the setting. But overall, it was fun and worth the try.
I never signed up I thought I was paying on for one time. I will call tomorrow to clear this up Plus my video did not work. How can you charge me the full amount. This is wrong. I would like a refund.
I have heard from several people to whom I send a video and they loved them! They especially loved the dancing ones. This is an easy and fun way to keep in touch. I recommend JibJab as it will always make someone smile.
Mr. JibJab, I am a customer since many years ago and the program worked well, but now I can not send videos to my family by e-Mail. My family says we can not see them. Can you help me? Best Regard Paulina Roca
Clever service, but I signed up primarily to send my nieces and nephews (all not yet teenagers) whom I thought would get a kick out of the cards. They did, but the selection of kid-friendly cards is extremely limited. I doubt I'll renew.
Somewhat frustrating that you cant make edits once you have begun personalization of of the videos. I modified the message for example, but the changes would not remain when i sent out video. Otherwise they are great and bring a lot of joy
When I first saw the Jib Jab advertising I thought is was funny. When I purchased it and added my own photos of myself along with friends and family it was hilarious! My family and friends and I laughed so hard we cried. When we entered our photos each one went with each character so perfectly, it was as if Jib Jab knew us. Life can be rough but laughs such as the kind Jib Jab gives us makes things less rough. However you will never find out till you give it a try with your family and friends faces. You will laugh hard too!
I was somehow enrolled in a yearly membership several years ago. Only recently noticing a charge, I reached out to customer service. With it being several years ago, Ive had a name change, several address changes, and a few email addresses. Daniel was patient and helpful searching through each possibility before being able to locate my account a refunding the charge. While I havent used JibJab in a while, I can say I am happy to go back thanks to great customer service. Thank you Daniel!
Answer: Unfortunately, now you can only edit your heads immediately after you upload them, which makes it a waste of time to save them because each head you upload will only work correctly for the video you uploaded it for. I was told they removed the 'edit any time' function so people could use their app on androids which sounds pretty absurd to me. Oh well, this will be the last year I ever pay for it again if they don't correct this outrage.
Answer: We've removed the fine-tuned shaping feature for now to make our casting process easier for all; we also made adjustments so that users can easily cast their cards directly on mobile devices.
