JoAnn's has most everything that crafters and sewers need. I love their online website because I live in a rural area about a 100 miles from the nearest JoAnns. I can order online and within a week, I have the things I needed. I always use their online 40% off coupon to lower my costs. Likewise, if I am going into the store, I can easily find a coupon to print and use in the store itself. They have a wide variety of fabric available and if you order some yardage and it is the end of the bolt of that piece, they include it on what you ordered at no charge. As a sewer, getting that little extra at no charge is just like Christmas. It is always such a nice surprise for me. I love walking through the aisles just checking out the multitude of crafting items that they have.
When to the store this Morning This young lady name Winelys was in front of the store, told me Hi how was doing :) ask me if i needed any help she will be at the register. She help me with my son project. Sweet person. Definitely coming back to the Holyoke store.
Hudson Ohio has this $#*!y $#*! manager when I started she talks $#*! about everyone mean as $#*! fake as $#*! employees constantly went to the hire up manager about her or whatever all the manager could say was sorry and feed us bull$#*! but she's a bully and I'm pretty sure bullying is not In the companies policy so this $#*! gets in trouble manager asked to speak to her or whatever then then $#*! decided to take a leave and the hire up manager was talking all this $#*! about her saying when she comes back there has to be a change in her she gets another chance you know why she gets a second chance because she's a white woman you should never get a second chance if your being a bully that $#*! needs to be fired no second chances
Placed a $200 order on their website only to go check 3 days later to check on shipping and see they CANCELED the order. Never emailed me to tell me it was canceled, never called. Nothing. I called to find out why and their answer was only that some items are out of stock and the items ship from multiple warehouses. Why cancel the whole entire order AND not notify the customer? They also said I would have to reorder the items AFTER they let me know what items are still in stock, but that will take 3 business days. I said, well it's been 3 business days today, she said no, after you call us to escalate it. So they never planned on telling me that the order was ever canceled it's just left up to you to check on it and then it takes 3 days for them to decide which items you can order. NEVER AGAIN. Stick with Michael's!
Long story short. In store customer service is excellent. Their online team is a joke. Placed an order about a month ago for about 25 related christmas items. Some shipped. Some never did. I got several emails from their customer service "we are so sorry your order has been delayes" these emails went on for about 3 weeks. I responded multiple times requesting a cancelation of my order.since it had been weeks and I had already gone out and bought the stuff I needed that I initially ordered online.
AN AI robot emailed me back after I requested cancelation and stated that I was no longer allowed to cancel the order. I got another email with one of the missing items having shipped.
Today I received another email stating that the things I ordered were no longer in stock and my ordered would be canceled. A person has yet to respond to me from joanns. Will not shop online here again.
I purchased the Singer Mending machine online as a starter for my 13 year old granddaughter. I purchased from Joannes because I thought I could trust them. First, it was delivered to the wrong address. FedEx said to contact Joannes but I was on terminal hold so I located the box myself. On December 26th, I planned our first sewing lesson but the tension was wrong and couldn't be adjusted. I drove to my local Joannes to return it. The 79.99 machine could only be returned with a 25.00 restocking fee! So, instead of buying a replacement machine at Joannes, i went to Hobby Lobby and spent 325.00. Joannes got 25.00 but lost me as a customer. Order #*******810
I ordered 14 yards of Kona 108" wide fabric. They are sending 1 yard of fabric. Another 2 yards and then another 4 yards. Cancelled some. 2 yards of fabric is not long enough for a twin size quilt so 1 yard is a complete waste. The 4 yards is a waste of 1 yard as I need 3 yards for 1 quilt. Talked to customer service said they couldn't cancel the order but they cancelled some. I know for a fact they have bolts of the Kona 108" wide in white at the Opelika al distribution warehouse the fabric is swaddled up into small plastic bags completely unusable unless you spend hours ironing. They want me to wait until I get the scraps of fabric and return all at once. Then another 2-3 weeks for a refund
Purchased a swag; there were two signs; 40% and 50%. At ck out, advised cashier abt 50% discount. There was nothing on 50% indicating exceptions. She advised me my purchase would only get 40%. I told her the sign sd 50% and I wanted 50%; she was rude(I wasn't being mean or nasty). She went, tore down the 50% sign. I got the 50. Point, was the money coming out of her pocket, customer service people. This was at the ablkstone/Nees store in Fres. The cashier was a very tall young lady ;)
I placed an order online to pick up curbside at the Westbury store. I called them 3 hours later to see if my order was ready to be picked up. They said I have to wait at least 3 days. I understood due to the Covid-19 situation. After three days, nobody contacted me and I had to call them again. They told me to wait for the pick-up email. I sent an email to customer service and no one responded. After I had waited for the whole week they sent me the message they had to cancel my order. If it has a zero, I will give them zero star because they did nothing to deserve 1star. Don't ever use there service
Ordered 4 yards abd received 2 yards and a fraction. When I called they said there were only 4 yards left and they couldnt send me the missing 2 yards. They wanted me to send it back abd hope I could get more. This was for a gift and is now going to be late. I wound up buying the extra fabric in hopes it actually gets here and keeping the original wrong order just so I can have the amount of material I need. I have never dealt with a more rediculous way to return something. They also said I could take it to the store but they wont take it. I asked that a manager call me. That was 6 hours ago. I will buy from anyone else but them again. Very disappointed in a company and the way it is run. It is CRIMINAL! So STOP STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS!
I used to love Joann's, but have you all noticed a disturbing trend at your store? They mark items at one price on the shelf, and at the register it almost always rings up higher? In any normal store they would adjust it for you, but not my Joann's! They ignore it. I bring it to their attention and then they ignore it some more. One item had a tag on it that read $1.99 and it rang up as $2.49, and the clerk just looked at me like "get over it" and told me what my total was. Another time they acted like I was crazy for thinking something cost $13, and when I volunteered to show them the whole display where all the items were, and why I thought that she barked out, "The price is $29! Do you want it?" No, I did not. I feel like never going to this store again, and I hate to make a scene and hold everyone up when there's this long line and only one cashier. So I have to walk out without the item and they honestly don't give a rats $#*!. Please, let's band together and make them get it right or give us our money back! They can't display false prices and then not honor them. This is illegal. I for one am going to boycott them and write a letter to the editor in the local paper. Why don't you join me if you check your receipt and find the same thing has happened to you?
Overpriced material, overpriced Everything and lots of coupons YOU CANT USE! I absolutely hate coming to Joann's the workers treat you like your lower class for using coupons that really never work and do everything they can to keep you from saving! With snobby attitudes
Clerks extremely unknowlegable, hundreds of excuses, I don't know, wont try, too busy, basuc items and they sell wrong things, are cranky, took 5 hours and, spebt $500 and they dont care. You ask out of area and order online.
I ordered something online and Joann's canceled my order. I reordered it using a different name and card number in case that was the issue, and Joann's canceled my order again. I sent them an email asking about it and never got a reply. So I CALLED Joann's and they couldn't tell me why it got canceled but placed the order over the phone and said it went though. Never got it charged or a confirmation email so I called back and they said they didn't have any record of it. Super frustrating and will be taking my money elsewhere.
I placed an online order for in store pickup. It was24 hours since I placed the order. I went to the store and gathered most of the items on my order myself. Some of the items were no longer available. When I told the store clerk that she said someone came in and bought all of them. I told her I bought it yesterday online and she responded to me they haven't even looked at the online orders yet. I think it is so irresponsible and inexcusable for them to ignore the online orders. I ended up canceling my order and getting the few items I could find in the store. No apologies from them at all. I prefer the service at their competitors, at least they have online orders ready within a couple hours.
I went to Joann store number 0968 in Miami Florida to register for a class. I was stuck for an hour and a half to do so because Angelica the class coordinator was so incompetent to do so. I had to call in the manager Verginia to help. Verginia was so rude and upset at every one. If that is the way to treat customers I wonder how she became a manager. I will never shop a Joann any more. It is much easier to go to Micheals or Hobby Lobby.
I used to enjoy shopping at Joann Fabrics in Burlington MA but after several stops there I have found the women working there are rude and not helpful I will not be shopping here at all. Would prefer to be treated as a customer not as an annoyance.
I ordered something on the 27th of May and it said it would be arriving on the 31st of May but it is still sitting in Phoenix Arizona where it has been for the last 4 days I will never do business with this company again. Customer service is no better I have asked to cancel my order and all I hear is crickets
Three separate times I tried to order specific fabric from Joanns. Three times they said it was in stock. All three times, over the course of several weeks, they cancelled not only the fabric but other parts of the order after I just ordered it. This is ridiculous. If they know at 10:20 that they are out of it (when they cancelled my order), they for sure knew at 10:19 (when I ordered it) that it wasn't in stock. At best, it is absolutely inept.
I placed an online order a month ago for 3 lengths of fabric and some interfacing by the bolts. One of the pieces of fabric was cancelled within the week. The other 2 took 3 weeks to get (NOT exotic-- FLANNELS!). Still don't have the interfacing. I've messaged thru their site, emailed and tried to call only to hear the recording that they are not answering the phone. All I want is the rest of the order cancelled and a refund of my gift card balances that they are holding hostage. DO NOT BOTHER ORDERING RIGHT NOW if you actually want/need your items.

Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
