This company is RIDICULOUS in its shipping process! I made a purchase on May 4th, 2019 and it was supposed to arrive in 6-10 business days. On May 30th, 2019 I finally asked for a refund because there was STILL A DELAY IN SHIPPING! They said it would take 6-10 business days from THE DAY IT SHIPS but it is UP TO THE MANUFACTURER as to WHEN THEY HAVE THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE! Are you kidding me? DO NOT TRY TO SELL A PRODUCT THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE AVAILABLE! SCAM!
Though I was delighted to save a lot of $$$ using a sale for decorative cardboard boxes/containers, the shipping experience was sooooo aggravating and one item came terribly damaged. I kept getting emails that items had arrived, but they hadn't. I had to look up tracking reports that said items had arrived (this was at my work address, so I had to get others involved in the search.) All's to say the tracking reports were wrong and items were delivered later. The order arrived in several shipments, and one even arrived at my home address, which I'd never given them. Though there were several shipments, I'd only placed one order. The damaged item was a round box that was supposed to have a pretty bow. The bow arrived undone (impossible to tie back the right "pretty" way, and one of the bow "tails" had been cut and taped together. Really!?! No integrity regarding quality! Can't believe they shipped it to me that way!) Will never order from them again. Not worth the aggravation. They're a great store, but don't buy online. BTW: This review is legit. They ask that I include email order confirmation, but 1) can't upload the email, and 2) the email contains personal information.
All excited had a 50% off coupon went into the store they marked just about everything 30% off so you couldn't use the 50% off coupon on the majority of the items in the store
I have ordered online from Joanns seventeen times. Until recently my orders were always ready in 1-2 days. They take longer now due to high demand. Four of my orders were cancelled because the stuff sold out. Joanns updates every customer on online order staus, if you provide contact info. I'm always sent emails when the order is received, in process, ready, or cancelled - 100% of the time and 100s of dollars. If you go to the store w/o being notified it isn't ready. Showing up in the parking lot expecting to jump the queue is rude to everyone. Until we're back to normal, the best thing is to go inside the store to shop if you are in a hurry. The Joann Fabrics in Augusta, GA has been swamped by online/pickup in store orders. They are doing their very best to fill them. Your order is filled after the orders in front of it. The stuff you're ordering is from stock for sale in the store, so someone going to the store to shop may buy all of it before your order is worked. It's the risk you take.
If your planning to do curbside pick up don't even think about doing it! Its been 3 days since i placed my order unntil now no confirmation! Worst service ever!
First off. Joann.com loves to jack up their price by a dollar or two compared to other stores so when you use thier coupons, its not really saving if 20% is 10% and 50% is 40%. I order here when Michaels doesnt have what i want. The other reason (s) this place gets such a 1 star review besides cheating customers with coupons is. Customer service. I wrote them an email 2 weeks ago to complain about a product they listed on their site as "in stock" but its not even in stock. I ordered a basket full of stuff just to meet the free shipping requirements just because i wanted that particular product just to find it "not in stock". Wasted my time and money ordering. No response, nothing to this day. Also. Expect long proccess time for your items. I swear they probably have 98 year olds packaging your product because its so freaking slow. Shipping charges on ONE item is 2x's the price of the item itself and it doesnt even weigh that much, so wtf are you shipping? I dont think i would be shopping here anymore. So many negatives.
I placed an online order at 3 pm Sunday, October, 3 for curbside pick up. When I called 2 1/2 hours later to see if it was ready. I was told it wouldn't be ready until the next day. When I called the next afternoon, I was told it still wasn't ready, and that I should check back later. When I called late in the afternoon, I was told that my order Still wasn't ready. At this point I was no longer satisfied with waiting. So I asked if I could just come in and pick up the items myself without having to pay again. I was told of course, that would be fine. No apology for the delays or inconvenience. So I grudgingly when into the store and selected the items I had ordered the day before for pick up. Then when I got to the check out and showed my order on my phone, I was told that they had my order ready. When so asked since when it had been ready? I was told since last night just before closing. I explained that it would have been nice to have been told that during and one of the three times I'd called to inquire, or alerted via email as the website said I would be... Again, no apology for any inconvenience. Don't advertise services you're not actually capable of providing. Very disappointed and frustrated. In the future, I'll take my business elsewhere.
IF I COULD'VE GIVEN JOANN'S A ZERO, I WOULD HAVE! MY SEWING MACHING WAS DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING & THEY REUFED TO LIFT A FINGER TO HELP OR MAKE IT RIGHT. THEY SHIPPED IT IN THE BOX THAT CAME FROM THE MANUFACTURER W/ NO EXTRA PROTECTION - NOTHING & IT GOT CRUSHED BY CRUMMY FED-X! ALSO, THEY SHIPPED MY FABRIC WHICH WAS SHOVED IN UNMARKED PLASTIC BAGS, NO INVOICE, NO RECEIPT, NO DESCRITION - NOTHING! WHAT KIND OF JERRY-RIG SHOW R THESE PEOPLE RUNNING. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS AWEFUL ALONG WITH THEIR ANTI-CUSTOMER POLICIES! SAVE YOUR MONEY & RUN! NEVER, EVER AGAIN WOULD I BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
No help available on the floor, and huge long lines waiting for a single cashier. Cashier said it was company policy.
I ordered 10 items advertised on the website and the next day I received an email stating "sorry" that NONE of the items I ordered was available and all were cancelled. What a waste of time!
Stay clear of this website. They have canceled 4 out of 6 items on my order. As I was shopping 2 of the fabrics became unavailable so I left the site. They must have seen I left the site as I received an email saying to finish my order, and lo and behold, those fabrics became miracoulsy available. So I went back to their website and saw that indeed those fabrics are AVAILABLE back again. I thought it might have been that they restocked again, no surprise there yet. With excitement I added a few more items and pressed "order", with flat standard shipping cost being $7.99.(!) A few minutes after making an order I received an email saying that 4 out of 6 items in my order have been canceled. So I was left with 2 small items for which I have to pay $7.99 shipping costs!
To make things worse, though they cancel your items from your order, you CANNOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER at all, they say it is impossible to cancel but you may return any unwanted items. And guess what - return is $7.99 as well, to be paid out of your pocket!
These kind of bait and switch practices are criminal and should be prosecuted.
I have been searching for the 12x12 Cricut card mat since I heard Cricut came out with one. Ta-duh! Joann's says they have some available. I, of course, love to shop online, tried buying it online, NOPE! Not available for pick or for shipping. So I decided to go to both location in the city NEITHER of the stores had it available. I thought, if I can't get it online or in store, I'll contact customer service and maybe they can help, maybe I can purchase one through them, NOPE! There wasn't anything customer service could do for me. Not even a rain check or a special shipping. Instead, they were nice enough to give me coupons that DO NOT work for Cricut items. I will never shop at Joann's Fabrics again. Lost a customer. How ridiculous is it that they have sale items for items that they don't even have available or carry for customers and won't even honor the price when they do eventually get it in. By the looks of all these ratings and how ridiculously over priced everything is, they probably won't be open for much longer.
I went to Joannes to buy a stamp to finish my Christmas cards. When I got home I opened up the box set of stamps and found that the stamp that says Merry Christmas was the branch stamp. The branch stamp was a branch also. So I turned around and drove for 25 minutes back to the Joanns to exchange the box set of stamps. When I got to Joanns the young lady told me I needed to go get the stamps I needed and get in line. I was very confused because this counter was the customer service counter. I found the stamps and I got in line and I was number 25 with only two registers open. By the time I finally get up to be next in line a third register open. I walked up to the lady and I asked her what happened to the customer service counter. She informed me that every register that is open is the customer service. I told her that Joanns has completely lost all of their customer service for their customers. As I was waiting in line it amazed me how many customers were complaining about the customer service at Joanns having a line down the aisle and only two registers open. I will not be surprise when hobby lobby runs Joann fabrics out of town.
Place is OVERPRICED terribly! When you do find a Deal both web online & online instore pick-up what they say they Have in stock they DON'T! ONCE they had a 60spot wooden thread holder I ordered online for in-store purchase, which was in Stock i waited 3 days to go pick it up & they Hadn't even pulled it off the Damn Shelf so anyone could have purchased it & would have beem out of stock for me who ALREADY PAYED FOR IT!
Today, as many times before, I had a dispute with one of the Jo Ann staff members about my question if she would please cut the plaid material I was buying on the "plaid line?"
She was adamant that that could not be done because the material "wasn't straight" to begin with.
Plaid fabric is woven however, so it is straight coming off the loom, but it gets warped on the bolt. Cutting it on the plaid line means it is straight and perfect for the customer to work with!
As the material was already precisely cut on the plaid line at the end of it, she then cut it "straight" by the groove in the table so now it was NOT straight to begin with which forced me, the customer, to buy even more fabric than needed as the staff member also cut my offcut NOT on the plaidline, but STRAIGHT according to the "groove line" on the cutting table.
I understood she doesn't know how fabric is manufactured and that it is easy for employees to work with a "straight" cutting groove.
The staff member then told the person she was "training" that it is just "impossible" to cut any plaid "straight", which is simply NOT true.
Plaid fabric is the easiest fabric to cut straight!
Consistently I am forced by this notion to have to buy more material than I need (convenient for Jo Ann's business) because the employees are not trained properly!
This aggrevation, together with the stores always being in whatever state of chaos, with depleted shelves, from no needles to limited thread, zippers not available, to unorganized pattern tables, books and drawers in shambles and crappy selection in all departments is to put it simply, shameful!
Fayetteville, GA store!
I received the worst customer service for the second time in this particular store. Never have an issue in any other store I visit. I stood for almost 6 minutes waiting on the manager while she was attending to another customer cutting fabric. After which I tried explaining to her my concern (the ad that was sent to me in my email of the Christmas items being 75% off and not seeing the same thing in the store). I offered to place my order and even wait in the car while it process and she proceeded to tell me it could take up to 9pm for the order to process through because people have been scamming and just want to take the items and leave the store. Scamming? I did not understand how I would be scamming people if I am clearly paying for my item online and just waiting to pick the item up. Was it because I was an African American woman making the request that's why the topic of scamming would come up? I was so confused? Then the next excuse was that they wouldn't have the time to pick up the items. I even offered to go around to pull the items myself to make it easier for them if that was the case. The manager was very dismissive and stated she was done talking to me as she walked away. This was shortly after I shared with her that I never encounter issues at other stores and I will be making contact with the cooperate office. I will never be back to such a racist environment. I am completely disgusted.
Some have really bad attitudes most of the time but Ty is always willing to help, she's pretty quick at the cutting table too
Website is slow and buggy, and my orders got cancelled for no reason. Wasted an hour with clueless customer service. Don't waste your time.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
