I ordered a bolt of fabric online for quilting. Even though the website said it was in stock, it took them almost a month to send it. When I got it, I was horrified to find that I didn't get a full bolt of fabric, but rather two unequal sized pieces. I contacted them through their website and after going around with this person, she said that when you place an order, it can come in many different pieces to add up to amount you ordered. I couldn't find this anywhere on the site. And on top of that, when I measured the two pieces, they were about 4 inches short of being 8 yards. I asked for a discount (she said I could send it back for a refund, but I explained that I'd already purchased all of the other fabrics and would have a hard time finding something that would match everything the way this did) and she finally sent me $15 online credit to buy something else. I asked to be escalated to a manager to which she never replied. Clearly those working in customer service do not have a clue about sewing or crafting. This is total misrepresentation! This was December and January and they still haven't changed the wording on their website. Beware that you could end up with pieces of fabric that won't work for your purposes if they are cut into multiple pieces.
I got two gift cards for gifts for a couple of friends birthdays. When they attempted to use the cards they showed a zero balance! I've reached out to store management and their corporate customer service and after two plus months no resolution! Even had original purchase receipt! Absolutely ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN!

The Brandon, FL location should be shut down. I've never seen such a horrible store. Dirty, merchandise just thrown every where. The employees REFUSE to help customers. They're rude. They're also incompetent. They give you 20 percent more off if you order online and pick up in store. They NEVER have my full order even when it showed the items in stock. They're too lazy to walk back and pick the items. I only got the sketch books I ordered because they're right up front. Anything that they have to walk more than a few feet to pick they just lie and say it's not available even though it really is. The managers one named Nik and one named Debbie should are not capable at f managing to tie their shoes never mind manage a store. I've given that store four chances and now I'm done and I'll never step foot in the hell hole again. I'll never order anything from Joann again. I do not recommend this store at all.
Ordered online from joann.com - spent $110 and I received someone else's order instead of mine. None of my merchandise arrived in the package. Spent over 1 hour on the phone with customer support, they don't send replacement items and they don't offer refunds as a policy. They can open an investigation with the postal service to try to find my "missing items," but they can't do anything internally to fix a wrong order. Spoke with two customer service reps, one of them hung up on me. Spoke with a supervisor who confirmed that they can't refund my money or replace my missing items. I politely said I wasn't happy with their service and I won't be shopping with them again, supervisor said she didn't care. Definitely shop somewhere else, this store is awful and doesn't care about customers!
I ordered 5 bolts of fabric over a month ago. Still have not received. I was told delay was due to inventory. I don't think a warehouse inventory takes a month. Today I get a notice my credit card adjusted. No explanation of why I am not getting the fabric I need. This isn't first time it's happened. Sad joann's can't do any better with customer service. Don't give 10% discount bolt price if you can't actually fill the orders!
So look, I have enjoyed being a customer of JoAnn since I was 16 when I got my first job however, they are going down especially the online customer service. On line, they force you to buy 2 yds. Of the fabric you want when all you need is 1. What's wrong the cutter can't cut 1 like they can 2? I understand that your should include 1 yd. Pieces with a minimum of 2 yds. For your entire order! This to me sucks and is definitely not catering to the customers that keep them in business.
Went into my go-to fabric store for past 6+ years. Brought in my Husqvarna sewing and embroidery machine for service. Machine was in its original box. Young white clerk started following us around the store as we shopped. Then came up to me and RUDELY insinuated I was trying to steal a whole sewing machine. Its so large the box took up the entire shopping cart. Have spent thousands of dollars every year for past 6+ years at this store... and loved Joann Fabric for more than 20 years. Will NEVER shop at this chain ever again!

I am trying to finish a giant fleece blanket that I have had put aside for years. I just had one cancelled order from online because the store didn't actually have the item in stock. The employees were friendly and did their best to find another store that was in stock for the 4 yards I needed (why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1). None available. Found another fabric option and purchased that. Woke up to two seemingly conflicting emails. One said they cancelled my new order, the other said congrats it shipped. However, upon closer inspection they only had 3 yards in stock, so they cancelled my one yard, and shipped the other 3. I needed the 4 yards as one solid piece. I live an hour from the nearest Joann's to where I live. Sure I can return it for free at a store, or they charge me $8 for a return fee. Perhaps a customer orders a certain amount because they actually *need* that full amount? Nah. This company thinks it knows your order better than you do. Avoid them.
It took me over 105 times to get through to the greece location. Not only did i sit in my car for over an hour waiting to talk to someone but when I did I got disconnected and no one called me back to say pull up. I had to call another 37 times just to get someone back on the line. I understand things are hard at this time but this is the only store that i have a problem with curbside pick. The other location are great and I will continue to use them. But Greece Store is absolutely horrible. I was not the only car waiting there for over an hour. And the other drivers where just as disappointed. Absolutely crazy.
I ordered online thinking it would be more convenient. I was wrong! They charged me twice! Once when I made the order and then again in two separate charges when the items shipped. There was NOTHING on the website when I placed my order saying they would charge me the amount for my order as a hold and then charge me again! I called them and was told that they do this to make sure the funds are in the account. Then told me I have to wait 7-10 business days to get my money back. Of course this made me even angrier! I will NEVER order or buy from Joann fabrics again if this is the crap they're going to pull with their customers!
I have tried to order product number *******, using all of the available buying options: in store pick up and shipping. Each time, it was advertised as "available" when I placed the order. But each time, after payment, I was told that this one specific item was cancelled because it was "out of stock". All the other items I ordered were contingent on this cancelled product! If I had known these stones were not available I would not have ordered them and paid almost $10 for shipping fees. Please, If it is discontinued or out of stock, stop advertising that it is available! Now, I have to go through the inconvenience of returning ALL of the beads that were to be used with the cancelled item and, even worse, the shipping fees were for naught. This is not up to Joann's normal customer service.
I know everything is different with the pandemic, but Joann's cancelled my online order after waiting 7 days. They said the items were out of stock. However their website shows everything available.
Placed another order for the same items for store curbside pickup. Website shows plenty of inventory. 2 days later and no email to pick it up.
It's now 9 days since I tried to make a purchase. Joann's e-commerce was not good to begin with, but it's really bad now.
I swear I believe their entire purpose is to make you wait as long as possible. That alone, I could probably put up with, but for them to be condescending and rude is unacceptable! Don't waste your time at Joann's in Redlands.
I was charged double for a purchase at my local JoAnn's on December 2,2019. I have called customer service 4/times already and submitted receipts and my banks fax number. I STILL haven't received my refund yet a full one month later! I am so beyond angry and frustrated that nothing has been done at all to receive my refund. I will never shop there again.
I ordered yarn from here for my business. Not only did I wait 2 months for my order because they lost my first order in transit, they shipped me two different colours of yarn and said it wasnt their fault because they dont control what leaves their warehouse. Literally any other cheap website would have been better to order from that Joann. They should be embarrassed. PLUS its been weeks and I still havent received the refund for the order that was lost. Never ordering from them again.
When those endless phony coupons arrive in the mail, toss them in the recycling. Notice that they have come-ons like "60% off on a regular priced item". Well, there are no "regular priced items". I bought about 15 items and was told they were all "on sale". There was no mention of that on the product. That has happened EVERY time I've gone with the coupons. Everything is always on sale there, so the coupons are fake and there's no point in waiting for the coupon date to arrive.
I'm unsure if this is a chain issue or the Madison store in particular but I have yet to experience a time that the service was good. Truly, it is nonexistent. It seems there are never enough employees to conduct business. The only reason I go here is because I had my son's first football photo custom framed and in order to have the frames match, I sadly and begrudgingly go back every year. Boy do I wish I chose a different store.
My order has been in processing mode for over 25 days. Call their customer service 6 times. Each time given a different story. I finally ask for a refund and they refused - stating my debit charge was never charged. That's a complete lie. Finally called my bank and they are going to credit my account and file a claim against Joann
I will NEVER order from them again. I ordered, and they charged my card. Then, I got an email stating part of the order had been cancelled as it was unavailable. They never took it off my card. Instead, as they piecemeal filled the remaining order, they added charges additionally to it. So, for $43 dollars in merchandise that I am to receive, they have charged me $132.00 on my bank card. They don't answer the phone, and they don't return emails. I have no idea if I'll ever get the fabric. It doesn't look like anything has ever actually shipped. I'm going to file with the Better Business Bureau.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
