Beware, when you order online with a debit card, they will charge you twice. One is for the authorization and the other is the actual charge. So if you order $75.00 worth, $150.00 is out of your account for 5 days. They don't credit the authorization until your items have been delivered. I haven't noticed any other company doing this. I'm going to use a gift card from now on.
Online order for pick up in store. No indication one item was not in store and was going to be shipped until after order placed and money paid. Joann's refuses to let you immediately cancel items to be shipped, forcing you to pay the ship fee AND not reimburse you this cost when you return the item unopened. I spent $5.99 for horrible customer service experience and to drive out of my way to get only a partial refund. A full refund would give me back the forced shipping fee. I tried to cancel before that item ever processed for shipping. NEVER shopping here again.
Ordered fabric for a project. My order shipped from 2 different locations so I get 2 packages with different tracking numbers. The day the first package is supposed to be delivered the tracking changes to "insufficient address-returning to sender". Turns out they didn't put my apartment number on the label for either of the packages I order. So I tried to contact them (like fedex says to do) and I get no response for 2 days. I was able to correct one of them because it had been outsourced to usps, but the second one I can't do anything with unless joann's corrects the address for me.
I've had them ship to my apartment before with no issues and this time I had used the auto fill from my last order, but whoever printed the label must have removed my apartment number for god knows what reason. Now I'm stuck here trying to figure out how to get the other half of my order on my own.
My wife had a horrible time with this company. She ordered a sewing machine. And then never heard back from them for many days. She never could find anyone to take to. I got involved and found out that the sewing machine was not in stock... they held on to her money for more than a week before the finally gave in and reimbursed her the money she paid. Shabby business. I would not recommend this company for any reason. Buyer beware. I wish there was a way to give a negative star review.
I ordered 12 yards of fabric and some sewing needles. All the fabric was cancelled but they will not let me cancel the rest of my order just so they can charge me full shipping on sewing needles I can go to the store and get. The customer service is useless and a waste of time. DO NOT order online from Joann's unless you're are picking up at the store. This is the WORST company for online orders ever. Don't do it.
They have great ads and when you try to buy the sale fabric online you'll get an email 1-2 weeks later saying items no longer available. Has happened to me four time. I sent an inquiry and got an email back from "Sonny" saying blah blah blah while they are still advertising the product, of not on sale an. Then they start all over a week later, do not try to buy online. You won't get it. Unless of course full price.
I ordered 6 yards of fabric, 5 curtain rods and thread on line. At time of order all were available. 2 days later I received an email stating the fabric was not available. However, rest of order was on its way. I immediately called to cancel rest of order (no longer need rods if no fabric!) but could not. Now I will need to return these items. Unhappy that their system did not reserve my fabric at time of order or they just want to sell me other items with hope I won't return them during pandemic.
I ordered (4) items paid with bank card, $58 was on hold. Got an email about 30 minutes later, 3 items you've ordered has been cancelled, not in stock. Money still on hold. One ordered was in stock, they took more out of my account for that item that I had already paid for now that money is on hold! Why not take the money out of the $58 they were already holding on my account! They just do what they want with your account! This was the first and LAST time I will order any from this company! Why freeze before you check availability! Like most companies I deal with. It won't happen again!
Joann's app is so buggy. The app keeps crashing! I placed two orders for pick up at the store but the app doesn't give an estimate date of when order will be ready for pick up. Maybe don't offer curbside pickup if you can't handle it!
This was my first time ordering from Joann dot com, and needless to say, MY LAST. Order took over 3 weeks from the date of order to arrive, and it was incomplete. After waiting forever, one of the items I needed the most was cancelled by Joann Fabrics. Trying to call and get an answer from Joann's customer service was excruciating! Not only was the information unhelpful, but it was not delivered in the friendliest of manners. Girl, don't do it! I did it, but I won't do it again. My advice, try Walmart dot com.
Special ordering means that they pull stock from other stores, as many as necessary. This means dye lots are not guaranteed and you could end up with unusable product. Yarn is not carried in sufficient amounts to knit a sweater. The fabric is frequently not carried in enough stock to complete a sewing project and is of questionable quality as we've all learned to accept.
Had very hard time downloading app in order to get coupon in store. Woman behind counter said a few people have had same problem at the store that day. In store for 40 min, in line for five all to walk away because of a problem with Joann's app without buying what I went to store for. Called customer service and waited for 24 minutes on hold. Every min went by on hold I got more disappointed. Finally c/s picks up, I say my problem and customer service seemed to be bothered by my call. No worries.A. C. Moore will take my business I bet.
Terrible customer service by the Manager and (Taylor and Kim) working the weekend afternoon shift at Waterford Shopping Center in Orlando. This is a marked contrast to all other employees in the store and during the week. These three employees are always very rude and get very upset if a customer ask them for information on their products. The shift manager goes as far as complaining for being stopped for a question by a customer. Kin ( Oriental American) ignores you when asked a question relative to their products and if you respectfully insist, she turns her back and ignores you. When asked for a customer feedback form, they claimed there in none in the store. All other employees go out of their way to assist customers and know their jobs. The supervisor should be demoted until she can perform as expected and the other two employees should be trained on adequate customer service.
I ordered some fabric online from one of their locations where they are offering curbside pick up. I have been waiting for over a week for the email alerting me that it is ready for pick up. Nothing. I have written to Joann's twice and still nothing.
I understand that things are delayed, but they have not given me an estimate of time or any information. Just to wait.
The store is not taking calls.
Do not order anything online form Joann. I wish I had read reviews about customer service and online orders before I ordered.
I ordered 3 different things and 15 of each for my students. Now 2 weeks later I have received some of the items, In 6 different shipments. One out of 15 paintbrushes came alone in one shipment. Online I can see I'm still waiting for 5 more shipments. Wast of resources and time.
This was my first time in this place and I had a really bad experience with two rude people so I decided to leave the store immediately. There is so many places with nice people that love their jobs. Bye bye JoAnn
Placed an order last night for an item to pick up in store. Item was $7.59. Got notification it was received. This morning received email stating it had been cancelled. Now the item is $11.59. That's bull&&&@
Ordered 2 items online which were in stock according to website. 10 days later no contact from them. Advised them to cancel order, then received message that the items were not in stock and they were cancelling my order. First and last time doing business with them. They really should just close down based on the other bad reviews.
Never buying from Joann again. Absolutely the worst online retailer there is. Ordered Christmas wrapping paper on 11/25. Order was processing. Received an email notification stating my order was delayed on 12/15...Wow, only 3 weeks after placing the order! At this point I sent an email to find out why my order hadn't shipped and what the status was. No response. Instead, I get an email telling me my entire order has been cancelled on 12/21. Ordered way in advance not to find myself searching for wrapping paper last minute and now that's exactly what I am being forced to do. Know you inventory, communicate with your customer, give timely updates! Guess it could have been worse...if they had sent me the wrapping paper folded in half like another unfortunate reviewer experienced I would have been on the war path...how ridiculous is that? Done with Joann...If you value your time, and want a positive customer service experience you should too! Happy Holidays Everyone!
Why in the world would a company not have customer service available on weekends? The cutesy.message that they're crafting doesn't fly. Just allows more time for us to not reach someone. I ordered something on 11/24 and it didn't ship yet. Was told the regular 10 business days or whatever. Well, it's been that. Meanwhile, stuff I ordered is being canceled but was there when I ordered it. Will call again today. Hassle overall and don't recommend ordering from them online.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
