I recently ordered a 10 ft length of drapery tape. What I received was 3 separate pieces. I want to return this mess for a refund but Joann online wants me to pay the postage to send it back. If I were able to shop in person I would never have accepted the scraps they sent me. Joann will get no more business from me.
Purchased a swag; there were two signs; 40% and 50%. At ck out, advised cashier abt 50% discount. There was nothing on 50% indicating exceptions. She advised me my purchase would only get 40%. I told her the sign sd 50% and I wanted 50%; she was rude(I wasn't being mean or nasty). She went, tore down the 50% sign. I got the 50. Point, was the money coming out of her pocket, customer service people. This was at the ablkstone/Nees store in Fres. The cashier was a very tall young lady ;)
It irritates me to purchase products that are advertised with a sign over said products and then be charged an alternate price at the register... t- shirts at 2 for 12 and then charged 12.99 for one and 8.99 for the other! They mark everything up at least 150% and then offer coupons for 40- 50 % off! The coupons don't always go through on the purchases and you don't see it until you're out of the store! I will never shop there again! These stores are just taking advantage of people! Hobby lobby is the best option!
Ordered 6 bolts of different fabrics. Got 3 bolts as ordered but I received the others in miscellaneous pieces - not usable if you are making clothing. And 3 yards were totally cancelled. I got taken by JoAnn's about 8 years ago with them sending me scraps of fabric instead of bolts & swore I'd never order from them again. I gave in because they finally had some pretty fabric & I figured by now enough people had complained that they changed their policies. Never ordering fabric from JoAnn's again.
I ordered yarn from here for my business. Not only did I wait 2 months for my order because they lost my first order in transit, they shipped me two different colours of yarn and said it wasnt their fault because they dont control what leaves their warehouse. Literally any other cheap website would have been better to order from that Joann. They should be embarrassed. PLUS its been weeks and I still havent received the refund for the order that was lost. Never ordering from them again.
When asked for the 20% Senior Discount Debra at the Midlothian, TX store stated that they haven't done that in a while. Contacted customer service and advised them to remove the false advertising on the internet stating that you do. It should have been honored per their mission statement. Steer clear Seniors!
We 1st visited Hobby Lobby and couldn't find what we were looking for so we drove further to Joann's fabric and it started looking like we were finding everything that we need it Here in Fort Myers Florida store. After shopping for 1 ½ hours going up-and-down the aisles trying to find everything that we need it and instead of tugging our car around we would leave it Close to the Isle we were in And then When our hands or arms were full we would walk back to the cart and put it in the cart and continue blowing downThe aisle. My car was filled to the top and without asking anyone the manager took my cart and put all my stuff back. We Wound up walking out and not purchasing anything. The killer is it was all for my daughter. She was going to start a new project and now she's disappointed I was not gonna spend another 1 ½ hours searching for the stuff that took me that long to find in the 1st place.
I went to the Jo Ann closest to me earlier today. I wanted to use the 40 percent off regular price item- I purchased 3 regular price items. I had no problem at the cutting counter as the girl there was fine and pleasant Even though the store was fairly empty, the checkout line was slow as usual. There were only 2 associates working the checkouts. When it was my turn I asked about something I had seen posted about JoAnn- that seniors can get 20 percent off on all in store purchases. The girl quickly informed me there was no such thing but she called another person up to the register. That person( didn't identify herself as manager or not) said they had no such thing. Years ago they had such a policy but only once a month she said I presented my phone as I have the app to get the 40 percent off a regular price item. I also spent $35 and had a coupon for $5 off $35 spent The person called up to the register said they already gave me 40 percent off and when you took that item off I was under $35 and didn't qualify for the $5 off!? Didn't feel like arguing with them as I had another errand to do next. When presenting my gift card to pay for part of the purchase the first person at register didn't even have the smarts to run the card herself ( she tried to out the card in the slot for a chip card). I guess the next part was just too challenging for her as I had a check to complete my purchase. She looked at the other person she called to register to instruct her how to process a check. I know there are places that only accept cash or credit and that checks are not normally the first choice for payment these days. However, as Jo Ann does accept checks, the people working there should be trained in how to process them. I usually write one at this same store unless I have the cash.
When I got home I checked over my receipt and found they neither gave me the 40%( like she swore they did) or the $5 off $35 purchase. Now to get back what is owed to me I need to take a trip back to the store. I am hoping that the Parkville store can fix this for me as I plan to be in the area this week The BelAir Store recently underwent an expensive renovation but I find that the staff at Parkville is much more friendly and accommodating.
Every single time I try to order online, my entire order disappears & says my cart is empty. I usually try to make a big order so there will be 30+ items in my cart. The site is beyond slow & who has time to start over to reload their cart? Joann always misses a big sale. They need to hire some IT help to run their site better.
I was looking at sergers on joanns web sight. They sent me a 25 percent off coupon with pictures of the sergers I looked at. So I decided to go ahead and order one. But they do not accept coupons for sewing machines. Very deceiving.
I ordered 14 yards of Kona 108" wide fabric. They are sending 1 yard of fabric. Another 2 yards and then another 4 yards. Cancelled some. 2 yards of fabric is not long enough for a twin size quilt so 1 yard is a complete waste. The 4 yards is a waste of 1 yard as I need 3 yards for 1 quilt. Talked to customer service said they couldn't cancel the order but they cancelled some. I know for a fact they have bolts of the Kona 108" wide in white at the Opelika al distribution warehouse the fabric is swaddled up into small plastic bags completely unusable unless you spend hours ironing. They want me to wait until I get the scraps of fabric and return all at once. Then another 2-3 weeks for a refund
I ordered online January 14th 2023. The total came to $36.38. My statement continue to indicate pending. I noticed after part of my product was shipped another fee occurred for $24.60. After the second part of my product was shipped another fee occurred for $11.68. After I reached out to them several times I was told it would take seven business days for me to get my money back and that is their process. To put a hold on the total amount and then charge your card again individually as they are shipped. MeanwhileI explained to them that I was charged twice for the same items. I was informed that that is their process to hold the amount and then charge my card again for an additional amount. I explained to them why would I want to pay double for the same product. They told me that I was not charged double. But they're holding my money and then charging me again. Maybe I'm missing something but that sounds like double to me. This is the craziest accounts receivable and refunding that I've ever heard of. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my refund. Their customer service rep is very rude and kept saying it will take 7 days. It did not take them seven days to take my money out of my account
I made an order about a week ago using a gift card. It changed the whole price to my debt because I had maybe 2.50 that wasn't covered by the gift card. I messaged them and they told me there nothing they can do about it. Even after showing them that I used my gift card because at first they thought I didn't use one. Now they send me a gift card refund for something that wasn't in stock instead of refunding my bank. Never shopping here again!
I ordered some yarn on Jan 4th here today its Jan 17th and I was sent an email stating it would here today
However now it states the 23rd. I don't understand why for $11.95 shipping it takes weeks to receive one package.

I placed an order for yarn. When I ordered it the status showed IN STOCK. 3 times I got an email saying a skein of yarn was out of stock and that part of order was cancelled. It is for an afghan project and now I have a missing color that was originally in stock when I place an order and gave them my credit card number. I am very irritated about this and I will never shop them again.

ALSO, THEY SHIPPED MY FABRIC WHICH WAS SHOVED IN UNMARKED PLASTIC BAGS, NO INVOICE, NO RECEIPT, NO DESCRITION - NOTHING! WHAT KIND OF JERRY-RIG SHOW R THESE PEOPLE RUNNING. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS AWEFUL ALONG WITH THEIR ANTI-CUSTOMER POLICIES! SAVE YOUR MONEY & RUN! NEVER, EVER AGAIN WOULD I BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
I had to go to my bank to dispute a debit card charge on an online pick up order they canceled on the same day because it was not in stock. They charged my debit visa card the amount of the order two days after the order. I tried for 3 weeks with customer service to have them refund the amount with no luck. I was told to go to my bank and have them release the money back to me. My bank told me there was no hold on the money and it was paid to Joann's. I am disappointed with the level of customer service I was given using the app and email. I felt I only got the "canned answers" from "Samantha" over and over about they never charge anyone after they cancel an order. She didn't even try to investigate of help saying there could be a mistake. I tried to go to them to help solve the problem... I should have just been a jerk and gone to my bank first to dispute it.
I purchased the Singer Mending machine online as a starter for my 13 year old granddaughter. I purchased from Joannes because I thought I could trust them. First, it was delivered to the wrong address. FedEx said to contact Joannes but I was on terminal hold so I located the box myself. On December 26th, I planned our first sewing lesson but the tension was wrong and couldn't be adjusted. I drove to my local Joannes to return it. The 79.99 machine could only be returned with a 25.00 restocking fee! So, instead of buying a replacement machine at Joannes, i went to Hobby Lobby and spent 325.00. Joannes got 25.00 but lost me as a customer. Order #*******810
I just waited for 10 minutes just to pick something that I pay online. Why they don't make a separate line just for those people who order online.
This store is awful, awful, awful. I am not sure how they are still in business. They will steal your money. You order from them you cannot track your order. You cannot pull up tyour order history to see what was sent and what was not. They cancel half your items then when you go to the store all the items are there. They bill you but their shipping is so confusing you don't have a way of knowing if you were sent the items you were billed for. I would never recommend this store. My order arrived damaged beyond repair its been over 30 days since they confirmed they received it back and I am still waiting on my $228 refund. They will steal your money. It is a shame. I want to return everything I bought from them. They are the absolute worst ever.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
