Joann Fabrics has a large collection of insulting Alexander Henry art cotton prints. Women dressed in skimpy clothing and suggestive poses perhaps from the 1940s(?). I am not a prude, I am an artist myself, but how do you explain such images while shopping for mask fabric with a 10 year granddaughter? That this is how women were portrayed in the past? Apparently not. Wake up Joann Fabrics, you are insulting your customers!
This is the Medford, Oregon location on Poplar Drive today, July 17th. It was a disaster. Couldn't shop, two staff members. Everything was everywhere, so unsafe and couldn't even look at products down the isles.
Don't do it! If your order is short you are still charged the full amount. When you pick up the order they will charge you again the correct amount!
I went to the store to get it corrected. Spoke with the manager. You have to contact their corporate site. *******120 was the number on my card charges.

I like Joann's as a whole but when it comes to making handicapped people comfortable... They just don't seem to care. They don't have any riding carts or wheelchairs (if you're with someone else who can push you) I have COPD and i can't walk for too long at a time, even with a regular cart my arms get tired from holding myself up. So i think they should step up and get something for those of us who still sew and craft but can't walk all over the store.
On October 15th 2023 I ordered a Christmas Tree stand. Within minutes I realized I did not want the item, but they have a policy that you cannot cancel an order once placed. I waited for the item to arrive and it did so I requested a return label. They state a hassle free return policy, but after several requests via email no response. They are out of Hudson Ohio so I called, but no one answers. This is the worst customer service ever and do not recommend purchasing anything from Joann stores or online. They are dishonest and deceptive.
How can it take over a week to fill an online order when I can place one with Michaels and it's filled within a day! 220.00 order I will be canceling! If you can't fill the orders then stop taking them! Maybe hire more people!
Pickup orders advertised and email after email begging for online purchases but they never process the order. I completely understand the situation we are in. But if you cant deliver on what your advertise and promote simply stop saying that you will do it. No response to order for two days. Then is was delayed. Now it says "home delivery" is delayed. It was not a home delivery order. Joanns Fabric is a joke. I am finished with this franchise.
Please do not order from this company. I am still waiting on my order since December 27th. Of course they took out all the money from my bank. Every time I email them or reach out to them it is the same woman named Annie. Annie is obviously a robot.
My dealings have been the absolute worst with this company and I'll never order from them online again. Please be aware that if you use PayPal at their online site, and you then return any or all of your order to your local store, your refund will be made by way of a JoAnn Fabric gift card. Your refund will not be made to PayPal. Fine Print. Of course, I never received my order, so it was a moot point for me. Yikes. Hope their new CEO can fix this train wreck.
I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered my fabric from JoAnn Fabric online. Save yourself the headache and don't do it! My order confirmation said my fabric would arrive in 6 to 10 days and that I would receive status updates via email. It's now 20 days later, no order and not a word. I submitted a help request at their website, to which they replied they'd get back to me in 48 to 72 hours, and nothing. I finally called and was told that my order had been sent to their supplier, but hadn't been processed. THIS IS 20 DAYS LATER. I asked them to cancel the order and was told by their representative that they do not have any provision for canceling orders, EVER, PERIOD. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was placed on hold for 20 minutes, at which time I disconnected. I went to my PayPal account to cancel the pending payment and found that JoAnn's allows zero provision for cancelling a pending payment. PayPal will cancel after 30 days of not receiving the order. If the order does arrive within the 30 days, I can return it to a local store and receive a partial refund, less the shipping fees and more than likely, less a restocking fee. BE VERY WARY OF DEALING WITHTHIS COMPANY.
Bought a table $192 from Joanns on 10-31-2020. Contacted them 11-4-2020 to cancel order as it hadn't shipped yet. Was told I could refuse shipment and I would get my refund. So as soon as it shipped I contacted FedEx to immediately ship back to sender. They received 11-6-2020. It has been 14 days and numerous emails and all I am getting is the run around. No refund, nothing but my emails will be forwarded. Poor customer service during a pandemic.
I have been shopping at Joannes in Yonkers NY for a few years. Unfortunately it's the only place I can buy yarn in my area. I have complained to the manager about the cashiers in the past. They are so rude.
Today's experience was no different. Horrible, rude. Inconsiderate staff. They actually argue with people over their own store coupons.

A month ago ordered a large yarn order. Two weeks later, email from Joann.com saying that half the order was cancelled due to none in stock. A week later I contact to find out where the rest of my order is. Three hours later another email saying the last half was cancelled due to same problem. Was ticked off, but stuff happens. Ordered again two weeks ago- received the order today and completely different yarn and color from what I ordered. They can't get anything right lately. They need to just shutter the business because they are dying a slow death. I've spent a small fortune there over the years- no more. I'm done.
My online order has been so messed up -worst online order I've ever experienced. I will NEVER order anything from this company again. First they said my order was delayed after I waited weeks for it to arrive. I cancelled the entire order only to be notified a week later that the order was on its way. The order arrived only to be billed a second time for what I assumed was a billing error. But today I received notice that the remainder of my order would arrive this week WHICH I DIDN'T ORDER. I have no idea if they will take more $ from my account for an order I didn't place. I can only assume if you place items in your basket but then delete them they treat it as an actual order. This company has terrible customer ratings. I've learned my lesson. Only wish I had read ratings before placing order. They do not respond to texts or emails. Does no good (I found out) to contact this company. You won't get a response from them other than to tell you delay is due to COV-19
I'm a fashion designer and since Hancock's closed, Joann is the only store left. I prefer to see fabrics in person to match them, but since the pandemic began, I've been forced to order online. I constantly get wrong orders, canceled orders, overcharged, and generally ripped off by Joann. Since I spend several hundred dollars there each month, you'd think they would treat me like a valued customer, but that is not the case. If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are the worst.
Purchased product on Monday and paid extra for expedited shipping to receive it for a specific project happening this weekend. The product was expect to arrive by Thursday at the latest. On Thursday morning I found out through UPS the sale had been canceled and the shipment would never arrive. No one from JoAnn contacted me to discuss or give me a chance to make other arrangements. I plan to never purchase from them again because of the position they have put me in. I now have a huge problem that could have been avoided by simple customer service.
They want you to spend lots of money but aren't willing to turn the lights on within the first 15 minutes after opening. I honestly was fighting down a panic attack and could not bear to stay there any longer. Waiting for them to turn the lights on. I asked 3 different staff members for better lighting. The first said 'in a second' the second said ' in a minute' and the third said ' we never turn the lights on before 15 minutes after opening' And after approaching the first about his lie I only earned a "wow" As if I was asking for something totally out of mind. The Staff is always extremely unfriendly, snooty and eye rolling. No respect at all. It seems the staff does not understand where the money for their salary is coming from. I am done, I don't want to be treated like a nuisance. I am still shaking and Jo-Ann is off my shopping list forever! R. I. P
Ive experienced it at all stores locally. Why offer it if you cant fulfill for hours and hours. Its an easy thing, dont need staff at the register and all day. Second time that products ordered are unavailable, no emails, cant get a hold of anyone at the store. Take a lesson from amazon and try to keep ehat little customers you have left
Joann doesn't send ANY acknowledgment of your order after it is placed! Because I processed my online order without setting up an account, I would not have any way to try to follow up If I hadn't printed the "thank you" page with order number. You can't track your order until they finally send you a tracking number! The fine print says they'll send you a tracking number when shipped & allow 5 business day. Well it's been 1 full week with no information!
I ordered bias tape and the same day and for 4 days after received cancelled notice. Then 4 weeks later I received partial order. Followed their instructions to return the items and now over 30 days later and 6 emails to their 2 email addresses, still no reply back. Called the corporate number and unable to talk to anyone. I will NEVER buy from them again!

Be sure to remember what name you put on order, cause if you get it wrong they would not do anything you want and probably lie to you politely. I had to call three time to cancel an order. First time was "too late" remark. Second call was full of lies since I forgot that I used my sister name in the order (was a gift to her). Anyways, the guy told me that my order was "cancel" when there was no e-mail to confirm so. My final call was perfect since I was correct and direct. Now, I have to wait two more weeks for my refund money...
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
