Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Great lenses! Good value! Only problem was I shipped the frames in my Bose case and it was not returned. The case the provided can't be used either my Bose tempo frame. Would like my case back.
First time customer. I had sent out an old used pair of glasses for new lenses. Customer service was so helpful making sure I had the right pictures to get the proper outcome. Lensabl sent me a box to ship out and let me know when it got there. It got done in a timely manner, about 3 weeks. The result was good as new and just as nice as some of the pairs I have gotten done at optical shops. Very impressed and I would use again.
The lenses give nice clarity and love the red shading on them, it gives nice aesthetic. Slight fish bowl perspective from the eyes when wearing them but I think I just need to get used to these. The red coating and crizal coating are peeling off on the bottom corners and needs to be redone properly. I would hope a lensabl rep contacts me about this so they can hopefully correct the issue as I really would love this. If not I'd be happy to contact as well. On picture it's hard to capture the issue but in person, it's VERY noticeable. Its an eyesore that is quickly noticed. If this problem were to be resolved I'd re rate this to 5 stars since the quality is pretty good.
I did initially receive the glasses one lens had the correct prescription, but the other lens was made with a completely incorrect prescription. Lensabl took it back and corrected it and now the glasses are fine. I am now a happy customer.
My package was lost by UPS. When I filed a claim with UPS, they requested information from Lensabl but have not been able to get in contact with them because the contact information on file is inaccurate. I have tried for a month to have someone from Lensabl contact UPS to get the claim processed but have not received replies to my e-mails or phone messages.
I have a HUGE head. Which makes it nearly impossible to find new eyeglass frames. As a result, I typically put off buying new glasses for as long as possible.
Lensabl has completely upended my world!
Incredible experience. I will be sending my backup pair this week and using Lensable for as long as my frames hold out.
I am very disappointed with the replacement prescription lenses for my Smith Challis sunglasses. They do not match the order details requested and confirmed in email responses from their support staff. In addition, the frames as returned to me have been stretched wider across temple to temple to accommodate their lenses and no longer fit.
I purchased a pair of frames from an outside company and had new lenses placed in them. They turned out great. The glasses that I purchased from the company felt really cheap. They are wayyyy to big on my face and fall off and the arms are bent making the glasses not lay properly on my face.
Frames are of a delicate design... I was informed that they might break, but what did I have to lose? They turned out great!
I have had 3 frames "reglassed" by Lensable... they deliver good value.
Made quickly, efficiently, at a good cost. Fitted lenses into my own frames. Excellent Quality Lenses that came out at half the price of a retail store. Frame, together with the installed lenses, were sent back in a beautiful branded box with a branded case. Looks stylish, nice and nice to get it!
You sent me lenses. No frames. It's $#*!ing ridiculous. I want to cancel my order and go buy from a reputable company!
I waited a month for my rx safety glasses to get to me so I could use them for work, and I paid for premium add ons for my lenses. I opened my package around midnight last night and finally got to see them in the daylight today. There are tool marks on both lenses. They look like circles in the top outer corners. I have photos. And the inside of one of the lens sockets looked gauged out or scratched. I did not expect to receive them this way. I wish I could attach the photos to show how they look.
Usually I wear my recent Progressive lenses from my optometrist, and I attach clip-on sunglasses for outdoor wear. But I found that walking or hiking on uneven surfaces was difficult because looking down at the ground, I was seeing through the reading part of my lenses which distorted the ground and made it hard to maneuver without tripping, or I'd have to drop my head to see the ground clearly through the top of my lenses. Another problem I had using clip-on sunglasses were lots of reflections that would obliterate a clear view. So I ordered from Lensabl single vision lenses (for distance only) with the highest grade of Transition sunglass tint and provided an older frame of mine. I'm very happy with what I received from Lensable. They solved both of those problems. I can even drive with my new glasses on, since I can easily see the odometer on my dashboard, even if it is a bit fuzzy. My only issue with the Lensabl Transition lenses is that the sunglasses don't get as dark as I would like. They do get very clear indoors, which is an improvement over transition lenses I had many years ago. But I can always use my clip-on sunglasses if I need them to be very dark, like when walking the beach on a sunny summer day. Also before I ordered my new glasses from Lensabl I checked with my optometrist to see what he would charge for the same thing. They came in about $100 more than Lensabl. The only reason I gave my new glasses 4 stars instead of 5, was that I wish the Transition lenses got a bit darker. I will recommend this company to friends. Great experience. Thank you, Lensabl.
A terrible experience from start to finish. And, when you have issues, you cannot call them. Their customer service does not have a phoneline. They will respond, at most, to one email every 24 hours. Issues can take days and days to resolve.
Their website provided inaccurate status updates and is unreliable. One day, it says your eyeglass are almost completed and the next day the status goes backwards and your eyeglasses are back in production.
I received a partially filled order without explanation. When my missing eyeglasses were sent to complete my order, they included another customer's eyeglasses by mistake.
Run!
I sent my info and frames to Lensabl and voilà! A week later, I had my glasses. They always do a good job. I tried other online lenses but always come back to Lensabl.
Super easy! I printed out a label and sent my old frames in. I needed them ASAP so I sent my own box. Arrived there on a Tuesday and received back in the mail the following Thursday. Glasses are great and I'm happy to have an updated Rx.
I ordered some blue light glasses, paying extra for expedited shipping. They arrived very quickly, and I love the frames, which look even better in person than the virtual mirror showed them before I ordered. Unfortunately, it looks like the lab forgot to switch out the factory lenses for the blue light-blocking lenses, which were in the case separate from the frames. There's no phone number to contact customer service, so I'm at the mercy of someone responding to my email (auto response said there are COVID delays). I'm obviously disappointed to have to wait longer, especially since I paid extra to get them here sooner. Hopefully someone will get back to me quickly and send me a new pair with the lenses actually installed in the frames. Other than the lens snafu, the experience was fantastic from start to finish. But I'm going with one star because the whole point of the glasses was to block blue light, which I can't currently do.
Initial tracking problems. Could not determine where glasses were in the process.
Company representative could not answer my questions.
Your website is impossible to navigate.
Costumer service is non existent.
Even after taking your online exam which matched my original prescription my glasses came back with the wrong prescription.
After all the trouble it took almost a month to get my glasses back
I'm very disappointed I don't have any proper glasses to wear.
I'm a nurse and goggles are a new part of my uniform due to the pandemic. A friend got me stoggles for Christmas and they were super comfy but I was not able to wear them with my glasses. I logged into lensabl and entered my prescription, a box came right away for me to mail my stoggles and within 2 weeks, I had my new stoggle goggles! The lenses are perfect and I couldn't believe how easy and fast lensabl was! Thank you!
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
