Purchased the Steelcase Leap V2 in black fabric after doing extensive research on ergonomic chairs. Chose this over the Herman Miller Aeron, and don't regret it. Madison seating has probably the best deals online, and shipping was pretty quick as well. Our chair did come damage due to shipping unfortunately, however I reached out to their customer service team and they were quick to respond and handle the matter easily. Would definitely purchase from them again, great customer service!
I bought a Steelcase Leap v2 from Madison Seating last week. When it arrived I assembled it and put it in my office to use the next day for work. It is so uncomfortable compared to a 5 year old RETAIL version of the Steelcase leap v2 that my girlfriend owns. The refurbishment was very poorly done, chair wobbles, lumbar is bad, cushions are hard, material is cheap and rough. The lumbar support is so intense and using the adjustment just makes it worse (I compared the lumbar support to the exact same chair model my girlfriend has). You can visibly see the lumbar support pushing on the back rest and distorting it. The fabric is very rough and the cushions are no where near as comfortable as the RETAIL version of the chair. I reached out to Madison Seating customer service and after a few canned responses they finally said "Please return the chair and find another vendor to furnish your office chair needs."
We have purchased chairs from the company before and have not had any issue until recently. We ordered 4 chairs, specifically the "Think chair by steelcase". After assembling the previous three, the fourth one had an issue regarding maintaining it's level. There was an issue with the gas cylinder and after emailing back and forth with the service team at madison, we were provided with the option to receive another gas cylinder. Unfortunately, this particular part is extremely difficult to remove once set. Even going through the steps provided from the video, the gas cylinder would not budge.
Finally, it was deemed the best course of action was to send out another chair. Originally, it was quite worrysome to have this chair start giving out so soon, especially since we have quite a few in service at the office. We were happy however to hear they will stand by the product.
If you need a quality desk chair at a reasonable price for your office, look no further than Madison Seating. Humanscale's Freedom Chair is what I chose, but you can also find Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs. Fabric or Leather in a variety of color ways. Carpet or Hardwood floor rollers. Happy shopping. I purchased an Aeron chair from Madison Seating. When the chair arrived, it had a pronounced wobble due to a poor base bushing. When I contacted Madison, they told me that this was normal and directed me to a YouTube site showing the wobble in which customers complained and sought fixes. I contacted Herman Miller (chair manufacturer) to understand issue and whether a fix exists. They stated that this was absolutely not normal tracked the "new" chair that I had just bought was actually made in October of 2000.
Madison Seating will take the chair back but I pay shipping and a $50 restocking fee. This is outrageous.
I bought a "new" Aeron Chair from this retailer, and it did not last six months. They now claim that the chair lost its warranty.
An email from the chair's manufacturer, confirms that they sell used chairs as new.
I provide evidence of this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXnRAiJVU8Q
I purchased a Steelcase Leap V2 from Madison Seating and it was shipped from NJ -> CA.
Item arrived damaged. Contacted the Madison Seating support team in order to get some assistance. After submitting a few photos and working with a very responsive support team via eMail I have been offered a new replacement chair at no cost. Happy with the sale and service. Thx Madison Seating~
I bought a refurbished Humanscale chair from Madisonseating.com for a fraction of the price of buying a new chair. Since it seems working from home is a new norm, I needed a quality chair, but didn't want to spend almost a thousand dollars on the office chairs usually recommended. The price was good for a good quality product that was shipped relatively quickly. I had a minor issue which was quickly resolved so I can say the service is also great.

Customers Beware.
I ordered a very expensive, top of the line Aeron chair from Maddison Seating. The chair arrived unassembled. The pieces sent did not fit together.
BEWARE: this company does not provide any type of paid return service. In fact, if you return an item, they will charge the ustomer 75$ as a fee. What a Crock of BS.
Take my advice, and do not trust this company for any type of customer support after the sale!
I ordered an Aeron chair from them on Sep 2, never even received an automatic email confirmation for the order, only got it a week later when I asked a question. Emailing them is pretty useless, btw, as you just get a canned response, rather than something that actually addresses your inquiry.
In any case, today is September 20th, and there is still no sign of the chair. I call them to say that unless the chair is shipping like RIGHT NOW, I would like to cancel the order. The sales rep said that because of delays the chair is only going to ship early October. Was I ever notified of that? Would I have known that if I didn't call? Of course not!
And then she says, "You will receive a confirmation that the order is canceled, bye". THAT is the kind of service you should expect if you order from them. If you expect literally any semblance of professionalism, this isn't the company to order from.
Tip for consumers:
The time frame of 10-14 days they mention is 10-14 *business days*, plus in September there are three Jewish holidays in a row (which they observe and are closed for) which they don't count in that. Only order from this place if you don't care about the service at all and are prepared to wait for your chair indefinitely.
I bought a Steelecase chair from Madison Seating at a very good price. Even when it arrived well packed, it came with a part broken. I contacted their customer service by email, they answered me immediately. I sent them a picture of the chair with the defect, and they offered either to send me a new chair, or refund me. Very good cusmer service, makes the company turstworthy.

First, they made the shipping label really fast and sent you the tracking number. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, it was still not shipped. After I called the, they shipped next day.
When I received the chair, everything was wrapped nicely, but after I open the package, the piston, the important piece that connects the base and seat was used! There are obvious tears and wears. So they asked me to take pictures to prove them it is indeed a used piece.
They made a new label to ship the piston replacement, but it was's shipped.
They refused to give an explaination why a used piece was sent out. It seems to me it is not a mistake.
They didnt deliver a product to me. They handled the whole things really poorly and when I left a negative review on social media, they left a revenge review on the company I work at!? Despite the fact I personally made the complaint and it was valid. This should tell you something about the company.
This company had the lowest price on the Steelcase Leap Chair v2 on the Internet. The chair arrived in a very large box and only took a minute to put together. I would purchase from this company again.

I ordered a chair from Madison Seating, had some issues, and got a quick response and resolution to my problem all during the same week! Would definitely buy from them again.
I ordered a chair on 11/29. I was told it would ship within 10-14 days and I would receive an email when it was ready to ship. Then I was ghosted for months. When I finally followed up they said there were covid delays and it would be shipped mid Jan. While that's understandable - everyone is experiencing staffing shortages, what is not understandable is why they refuse to notify customers of delays. Finally, mid Jan rolled around and I was not notified of my product being delayed *again*. When I followed up again they said my product was not in stock and they had no idea when it would be available. They offered me the option to *purchase* a more expensive product. Really? An upsell attempt after all of this? Why would I give this company more money when they sold me a product that never existed? I ended up cancelling my order. It stinks that I waited 3 almost 3 months for something I never received.
Tip for consumers:
The site is misleading because you will never receive your product.

I work from, sitting straight for periods of 10-14 hours a day. I need a good chair and these are the best, however pricey. I decided to go with the Aeron by Herman Miller and chose Madison Seating for a refurb and I couldn't be happier. The chair came well insulated in a big box my children later turned into a playhouse. The chair parts are like new, you can't tell it's refurbed, one bit. That was my main concern because I've used these chairs at previous offices and you can tell when they have been used, but not this one. They carefully inspected and cleaned all parts. From the time I ordered it, my chair arrive in about 10 days. I love it.
Customer service was phenomenal. The chair we received had a defect, and they were willing to work with me to find a solution that fit my needs. Would definitely recommend.

The chair I received was in terrible condition. The arm broke off. I ordered a replacement part for the arm to try and fix it. They sent it to the wrong address. It took countless emails and phone calls to get it reshipped at my cost (part and shipping). I received a wheel? WTF
Customer Service is intentionally useless!
I bought the Aeron chair as a gift for my husband. The lumbar support will not stay on - pops off every time he sits in the chair. I read the warranty and saw I would have to pay to return the chair for repair. That is clear. The company offered to send me the part to repair the chair (which the warranty allows as an alternative) BUT I have to pay for the part, which is not what the warranty says, or at the very least the language is meant to deceive and mislead the customer. I just bought this chair and should not have to pay for the repair part (which at this point I have no idea if it will fix the problem or not). I see why Herman Miller has sued this company for selling furbished chairs as if new and under cutting their price. Pay full price and buy from a reputable distributor.
I recently bought a SteelCase think chair. The description of the chair says that the castors are compatable with carpets. They are not, as they cause the piston of the chair to drag on the carpet and bottom out. I reached out to there service department and their response was, "To bad, you can buy new wheels on ebay or amazon"
Do NOT buy from MadisonSeating.com
The buyer purchased a brand name ergonomic chair at an incredible price. The chair included standard casters. He did not pay or select carpet casters to be added. The manufacturer makes specific wheels if the chair is being used on carpet. The buyer was given a lot of care and attention to his questions.
I was able to get an openbox Steelcase leap v2 from them for a great price compared to new. Their customer service is fast and excellent, and if I were to buy another office chair I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.
Madison Seating's customer service has been consistent, timely, and reliable since I first ordered a chair (Steelcase Leap) from them. Despite slower delivery due to COVOD-19 times, their customer service team has been very responsive, generous, and attentive to my needs, which has made such a difference during these chaotic months. Very appreciative!
I purchased an Aeron chair by Herman Miller. The recommended size was a B/C but Herman Miller recommends that anyone falling in the B/C range order the B size. I am 220lbs, 6'2" and was in the upper limit of the B/C range. The B size was way too small, The lumbar support needed to be set so high on the supporting rails that it popped off and the seat was almost 6 inches from the back of my knees. Use the sizing chart with caution or, better yet, call Madison Seating and speak with a sales rep before you buy. If you have to return the chair the shipping cost, which are on you, can be very high, the shipping from California was about $165. Madison Seating was good enough to waive the restock fee of $50. It was an expensive lesson, but the chair was delivered within the stated timeframe, there is a 30 day money back guarantee and Madison Seating was responsive.
Thanks for the feedback! We are happy you are satisfied with our services. The Herman Miller size chart is pretty general. Based on our 10+ years of experience selling the Herman Miller Aeron chair, we would definitely recommend the Size C for anyone over 215lbs. Feel free to always contact a Madisonseating.com sales agent to assist you on your chair selection. Our sale agents are extremely knowledgeable and will be happy to help you determine the best brand name ergonomic office chair for your specific needs!
Overall very impressed with MadisonSeating. Saw a very nice table and chairs on the webiste and glad i order them from the Madison-Seating website. The price was very competitive and the two times I rang them they were friendly and helpful. The table arrived on the day they promised by a hard working team. The table arrived in good condition and looks fantastic. Glad I made the right choice and would recommend. Thanks Racek
I purchased a Aeron chair from Madison Seating. The forward tilt did not hold, it snapped back to its original position. Upon inspection, the cable was not working properly (see photo). The main seat piston was not fully charged (see photo), and when I sat upon it, the chair sank 3 inches. When I emailed them with pictures, they said they wanted a video. For what? So I could fix their defective chair? I said no, I bought a chair, not a project. I had to pay to ship the chair back to them at a cost of $171.41 plus the charged a $50.00 return fee for a total of $221.40. I paid $712.00 for the chair, so it cost me $221.40 for nothing. Almost 1/3 the cost of the chair. I REPEAT - DO NOT BUY FROM MADISON SEATING. YOU WILL NOT BE A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

None. Returned a defective chair.
Recently I placed an order for "Amia Work Task Chair in Black by Steelcase" and once I received it I found that the chair was having a slight tilt to one side. I reported this to Madison customer support team and they were very courteous to send me a free chair as replacement without me having to resend them the defective piece. That is awesome!, I highly recommend Madison Seating for ergonomic chairs. They have good decent discounts also.

THIS REVIEW IS NOT BASED ON A RECENT PURCHASE. This reviewer made a purchase with our company several years ago for an office chair. He broke the item and asked for parts to be sent to him instead of sending us the product for repair. We advised against this course of action as it is difficult to ascertain what part would be needed to fix his chair. Had the customer followed warranty protocol his chair would have been repaired and working as new!
