Purchased the Steelcase Leap V2 in black fabric after doing extensive research on ergonomic chairs. Chose this over the Herman Miller Aeron, and don't regret it. Madison seating has probably the best deals online, and shipping was pretty quick as well. Our chair did come damage due to shipping unfortunately, however I reached out to their customer service team and they were quick to respond and handle the matter easily. Would definitely purchase from them again, great customer service!
I bought a Steelcase Leap v2 from Madison Seating last week. When it arrived I assembled it and put it in my office to use the next day for work. It is so uncomfortable compared to a 5 year old RETAIL version of the Steelcase leap v2 that my girlfriend owns. The refurbishment was very poorly done, chair wobbles, lumbar is bad, cushions are hard, material is cheap and rough. The lumbar support is so intense and using the adjustment just makes it worse (I compared the lumbar support to the exact same chair model my girlfriend has). You can visibly see the lumbar support pushing on the back rest and distorting it. The fabric is very rough and the cushions are no where near as comfortable as the RETAIL version of the chair. I reached out to Madison Seating customer service and after a few canned responses they finally said "Please return the chair and find another vendor to furnish your office chair needs."

I ordered a dining table with four dining chairs from madison seating, received it very quickly, and in great condition.
I searched high and low for this dining set and saw it on many websites - and not only was madison seating the lowest price but they also helped me try to find a matching piece for my dining room.
Their customer service is amazing, they send prompt e-mails and update the customer on EVERYTHING.
You never have to wonder what's going on with your order there!
I only have positive things to say about my experience with madison seating and i would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy online shopping experience.

The responsiveness of Madison Seating's customer service department has been great in correcting an issue with my order. They stand behind their products and service and replied to my emails before I even had a chance to check my email again. Getting a good refurbished chair at a fraction of the original price is a great deal.
I used my home address due to their site saying it would come as a freight delivery. The expensive chair came as Fedex without a signature requested. Thankfully, it came on the day that it said it would in the system, and I was able to run down and get it before it was stolen in my neighborhood. I typically get my packages delivery to a package center but they do not accept freight.
Madison Seating included a part that was well-used not open box as part of the delivery and shipped out a replacement (as requested) without confirming delivery address. This got stolen because it came a day early and I had no idea. Madison said tough cookies.

They are responsive fast and friendly to deal with and I definitely recommend buying from them.
I had an issue with the way the 2 end tables I ordered was packed. Absolutely no packaging. One table on top of the other with the glass tops loose in the box. I called and got a very unfriendly customer service response. If fact I called twice with both customer service reps very rude! I will never, ever, order from this company again!
I ordered a steel series leap v2 from Madison seating and it arrived in 3 days! Unfortunately it arrived broken. I reached out to the Madison seating customer service team and they immediately offered to send a replacement at no cost to me. Would recommend.
Madison Seating provided me with a great deal on an expensive, ergonomic chair for my home office. It was $900 less expensive for the same exact chair than what my company's vendor was offering. It was delayed a bit in getting to me, but the company was good about communicating with me about the delay and the chair arrived within 4 weeks of the date of order. I needed some help installing it and they were immediately available with directions and trouble-shooting my mistake. Their customer service and responsiveness is top-tier; every inquiry I made received a response within 20 minutes during business hours. I asked questions both before buying and afterwards and it was equally on-point. I gave the company's info to every member of my team.
They sold me an item that was old (over 15 years old). They simply repainted parts and added parts that are not Herman Miller, still calling it "open box". Customer service was horrendous. They offered me a $100 credit. When I tried to accept, they rescinded the credit. Terrible business model. No wonder they were sued by Herman Miller.

I purchased two Knoll Life office chairs from Madison Seating a while ago. One of the chairs height and seating depth adjustment got broken because of a small plastic part. My chairs were still under Madison Seating's 10 year warranty. To get the plastic part replaced, they asked to send them the whole chair and pay for the shipping and return. From California to New York shipping of such a heavy chair would have costed about $250. The same new chair costs $375 on the MS website. So their 10 year warranty on office chairs and other things is useless and ridiculous. I don't know of any other company that charges customers for shipping of items under warranty or wouldn't contact the manufacturer for a replacement part. I will never do business with Madison Seating again. Their customer service is good for only responding with rejections.
My Aeron chair was exactly as described and arrived promptly. Very easy to assemble and adjust. Only have an issue with the hydraulic lift, a few rare times it doesn't stay where adjusted but easily resets when used.
Madison Seating has to be the most honest reliable seller out there. Purchased a few chairs from them and got my order on time and in great condition, at the lowest price. The website is easy to navigate and when I called to confirm my order the representative was very helpful.

Madison Seating accepted my order, charged my debit account several times and through checking if they shipped the chair I ordered, said it was delayed due to supply chain issues. This continued for 3 months until I contacted them again on the 4th month, they again charged my debit card, but this time said my order had to be cancelled because the card was declined. Declined card, like previous ship dates, was a lie. Proof in bank transaction screen shots and email correspondence made with BBB. Dont purchase from Madison Seating if you value your time and money. Known lying fraudsters.

I ended up buying the same Aeron chair from another company because Madison Seating never shipped the one I ordered.
Madisonseating never charged this customer. When payment is declined no charges go through and a shipment will not get released.
We tried processing his card and it got declined. The attachment he provided only shows the charge ATTEMPT. The money was never deducted from his account as the buyer did not have the funds to pay for the item. Please see the attached copy from our terminal showcasing the declined payment. This reviewer is just sore about not being able to make the purchase and is using us as his outlet for frustration. We are not at fault as we did our best try and his service his chair needs. We simply cannot send out product for free.

My order with Madison was easy as I was offered a new replacement chair when the one that was delivered was damaged. They set expectations about the delivery and informed about the progress of the shipment. But when the shipper broke my chairs and I told Madison, they had a solution for me within one business day. Very happy with my new dining table and chairs, looks like a more expensive set than what I paid. Had my grandson to help with the fixing together, needed a little more strength than I have, but easy enough for him. Delivery men phoned when en route. I generally do not bother to write bad reviews for companies but madisonseating.com is absolutely horrendous! The couch we ordered came damaged and it took almost a month to have a replacement delivered. Now, another month later, we still have the broken couch sitting in our condo. Michael, one of the service agents is consistently rude and unapologetic. Louis, the manager is always "on vacation", and Susan continues to argue that this incident is not the company's fault! They are currently threatening to charge us if we throw this piece away, and REFUSING to pick it up! I am appalled that such a company is allowed to continue to exist. Save yourself the aggravation and find another retailer.
I purchased two Steelcase Leap V2 chairs from Madison Seating.
The chairs are almost entirely assembled out of the box and come with simple, easy to follow instructions on how to put them together. There were almost 0 signs of prior use, the condition was impeccable.
On my second order I needed to contact customer service during the holidays due to some issues but despite the holiday rush, my problems were handled in timely fashion.
All-in-all I definitely plan on purchasing from them again. They make gifting high quality chairs affordable!
Their warranty is essentially worthless, and their chairs are shabby. Bought a Herman Miller Aeron from them, and now the chair is broken after two years of use. Their policy is that to use their warranty, you have to ship the whole chair not the part (so you won't be willing to do it), which costs 300 + easily, and they would charge another 95 for shipping back. Generally, it's not worth it to do it, so they don't need to repair/exchange.
Sure Herman Miller costs 1000+, but they have real warranty and their chair is of high quality and won't break in two years

The Aeron chair you received 2 years ago from Madisonseating.com arrived in perfect working condition. The chair was purchased at $500+ and had a retail value of over $1000. If the chair broke while under your care, you will need to send it to our warranty department for either the repair or replacement of the item.
I ordered an Aeron chair on 9/15/2020 that was marked as in stock on their website. "In stock" items were advertised to be shipped within 10 to 14 business days. It's been almost 2 months and not shipped. I have followed up with the company now 3 times and each time, there is no apology. Instead, just another date in the future that they expect to ship and then that date passes without shipment. There is no proactive contact. There is no apology. Nothing... So I finally cancelled my order today.
I purchased several chairs from Madison. They all arrived in good condition. They're not new, hence the discount. They do come needing assembly, but that is an easy process. The only thing that needs a little intellect is attaching the posture fit device. Once you get one done, it's easy. Also, the chairs have a few scuffs on the base. Other than that, they're great. This transaction was just fine.
Purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair on their website 12/27. Here I am 12 days later and it still has not shipped. When I contact the company they tell me they can't cancel an order over the phone.
When I email them, they dispute the date the order was placed. Tell me I 'agreed to 10-14 day shipping'. They also insist that I agree to a 5% order cancellation fee.
At no point do they apologize or make any effort to make sure I am going to remain a customer. Just a lot of finger jabbing at the customer and snotty tone.
Stay far away from this company. You can find similar prices elsewhere.
Purchased 14 Steelcase chairs. Can not beat the price. Chairs were delivered on the date promised. Had no issues replacing a couple of chairs that were defective.

This is a great website. I know it may be hard to shop online because you don't get to see the products or test them out, but this website really makes it that much easier.
I ordered two office chairs and i was so pleased with this company that when i was moving into my new apartment i ordered my home furniture from them.
The bedroom furniture is magnificent! Such a pleasure to shop on this website. Upon arrival of the furniture, i see that it is exactly as described, right size, no flaws, and simple assembly. They packaged it great so that careless fedex drivers couldn't damage it.

Unfortunately it arrived broken, but I worked with Customer Service - who responded promptly and professionally - to have a replacement sent free of charge! I can't wait for it to arrive as I think it will be great for my back.

Every shipment released has an email that automatically gets sent to the buyer with the tracking information. Fedex has confirmed the buyer in this instance received the package. As the customer used a package center as an address, she had issues locating the package after delivery, which is out of our hands. It is not recommended to use a packaging center to receive shipments. We strongly suggest using a valid residential or commercial address.
