I am writing this review about an employee named Maurice that works in the floor and carpet department. I went to meards in dolton on Thursday to purchase some some flooring and some other things for my bedroom. I had needed some help so ask asked an associate for some help she told me that it wasn't her department but should would get us some help and boi did she get us the best employee that works there! An associate named Maurice came to help us. Maurice was so pleasant to work with and his knowledge about the products that we were inquiring about he knew all about them, Maurice was very patient and his customer service was off the chain. Maurice was very attentive to our needs he even made suggestions about different products that we could try. Maurice said that he had been working for menards about a year and a half and his knowledge about the products and his customer service skills were off the chain. Maurice is definitely an asset to Menards and he should be recognized for his great customer service! I've been to menards on several occasions and have never recieved the exceptional service like I recieved from him! Maurice definitely needs to be a manager and he should be given a raise! I don't believe No one can top the service he gave that day. Kudos Maurice I hope you get a chance to see this review and because of you I will shop menards! Thank you! Nice meeting you.

I was at the Menards on 2015 Walmart Dr, Warren OH *******. I was met with a rude customer service representative Bethany an older woman with blond highlights. I came in about a return or exchange on behalf of a stake light I had purchased from them but lost the box and receipt for it. She said she couldn't find the SKU and implied I did not purchase from there and that I was mistaken. I went to where I had bought the light from in the light area and found where it was sold, the SKU and sale price. She was too lazy to do her job and she just wanted me gone and out of the store so she wouldn't deal with me. When I went back to the customer service desk with the SKU information she came up to me and said "There is nothing I can do for you." When I told her I found the SKU she said "Well you're going to have to wait for me then". She was very rude and unprofessional, I ended up doing the return with a very nice girl named Emily with natural red hair. I spoke the the manager of this Menards and she said she will do more training. But I am appalled at how this woman treated me as if I was stupid and a nuisance. I would like for her to be fired because if that's how she is going to treat me that is how she treats other guests and if that's the case she should not be in customer service. I will continue to complain until she is fired.

Went to Menards last June bought a brand new refrigerator got it home unwrapped it had a big dent in the side of it called them and they were only willing to give me $80 back on it didn't even make it a year in the fridge quit working on me I was a dummy and did not get extended warranty forgot lucky the manufacturer warranty was still good from the year that I bought it from I had 10 days to file on it they have been out about five times and can't seem to get it fixed I have been with out refrigerator since the middle of May and they told me it probably won't be fixed until November they have replaced every part in my fridge and an estimate of probably $1,400 more than what I paid for the fridge and they won't even give me a new one kind of depressing now I'm still without a fridge and paying my neighbor to store my food in his fridge this whole time because I shouldn't have to buy another brand new fridge because this one should have lasted more than a year Menards has lost my business the word is garbage pretty sad when I spend my hard-earned money to buy something brand new and find out that things a piece of s***

TRUSSES
May 27, 2022

I ordered 22 Trusses from Menards that were delivered on 04/08/22. I had all the equipment to get the trusses off the delivery truck and to set the trusses. After I unloaded the trusses which were bundled and placed them on the ground the delivery truck left. I began to set the trusses and noticed that several of them were bad. Also they were not the length I ordered and the overhangs were wrong. I could and did correct those mistakes and made things work. I had wood that was bad on 9 trusses that I would need to shore up I had to build rafters beside the bad trusses for stability.
I went to Menards to see if the would compensate me for their error, their suggestion was to send them back, and wait. So the labor I had paid for and the Ariel lift that I had rented would have been all for nothing in their eyes. I explained that this was not a project with hundreds of trusses that I could lay some aside and wait 2 weeks on replacements, this was one project that was planned to be completed in one evening with everything on site.
I am appalled by their gross lack of concern and the company wanting to fall back on some warranty fine print, the company does not seem concerned at all about simply doing the right thing and having some cooperate responsibility when clearly their product was bad.
If you order Trusses from Menards check every one, before the driver leaves, I for one have Just decided that this is one business that I will not spend my money in again. I was not asking for a complete refund or even a cash payment, I would have been ok with am in-store credit. I normally do not write reviews but this was just bad business to mew.

I purchased the Dimplex DS5629GB electric heater/stove from Menards online for a great price (well at least initially). At the time the closest Menards did NOT carry the stove. The stove works great but had some structure and cosmetic issues; there was light showing on the wall behind the unit near the bottom which seemed to be due to the heater assembly cover not being flush with the underside of the stove which is not suppose to be like that. Also, the glossy black finish was compromised with scuff marks on the top! I called Dimplex who informed me to return it to the store. I contacted Menards online and i was informed to contact the store for and exchange or return. I did so. I exchanged the 2 and returned home with the replacement. I unpacked it and noticed the serious damage to one corner! What is Menards selling people! Damaged products? YES THEY ARE! I went back and took the first back! The personnel were nice enough. ( i did call the store once to see if there was 1 of these stoves but that didn't go over well either.The employee said, " i am downstairs and i would have to go all the way upstairs to see..." Would not that be her job to go; i don't need her to tell me that it would be a burden for her!)
Anyway, in the long run i drove 3 - 70 mile round trips which probably increased the total price! Not a good deal after all.
Several years ago i did buy some material at Menards when they offered 11% thinking i would save money but the 11% is only a coupon or check only good at Menards. That should have stopped me from going back but... NEVER again!
I gave 2 stars because the heater works nicely.

I would give them NO STARS if possible. I purchased a garage door opener and should have received a rebate on it. Instead the rebate was received and cashed by someone else because REBATE INTERNATIONAL that Menards uses doesn't put the customers name on the actual rebate card and someone else was able to USE it. Menards take NO RESPONSIBILTY for they way the rebates are sent out and could care less that those of us that shop there and earn the rebates don't have any recourse. They don't even take the time to put your name on the actual CREDIT CHECK and ask for ID to use it. Also, why would you do that and put REBATE INTERNATIONAL all over the outside of the card for the entire world to know that it's a rebate from MENARD'S. TERRIBLE DISSERVICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS in this day and age with the amount of thief and fraud that is going on. One would think that MENARDS would be more RESPONSIBLE to their customers, so that those of us that earn the rebates actually receive them and get to use them. Just putting the customer name on the actual credit check and asking for ID would be a start and STOP putting REBATE on the outside of the card.

I bought a vinyl fence June 20, I finally got it after 5 weeks and it came damaged. It was sent back and it finally came after 6 weeks. This time the gate was damaged. They did on the 7th week drop off a new gate. Mind you I mailed in the rebate form on 6/22. Yet today we are at August 6th and they have "no record" of it. How does this happen? Could it be because Menards is antiquated and make you cut things out like you're in kindergarten and then fill it out and mail it to WI? This is exactly how people NEVER see their rebate money. I had been dealing with a district manager Josh out of the Morse Rd Columbus store who now has buried his head in the sand and no longer responds either. Good job Menards. If your District Mangers don't respect your customers, why should any of the hourly associates. If you have a local Lowe's or Home Depot, go there. Save yourself the bullsh*t.

September 16,2020 Menards in Fridley Minnesota harassed me all the way through the store. I had my son with me and we both had masks but I had to take mine down for a minute or two to get my breath and there were no customers or employees around me when I decided to do it. One of the female employees walked past the aisle and see me without my mask up and demanded I put it up. I told her I would put the mask up and I intended to after I caught my breath. Like I said I was the only one with my kid in the aisle. She took like five steps and then backtrack right back to me demanding the second time and believe me both times were completely unprofessional literally yelling. The way she talk to me pissed me off so I asked her what the heck she was going to do about it. She called management and as I abandon cart and start walking for the front door I had at least five employees coming from different directions right for me. Seriously felt like I was being attacked by demons because that's how they acted. I explain to the manager that I had troubles breathing in the mask and decided to pull it down for a few seconds to catch my breath but he did not care. I explained the mask is not a law but he told me his store can make up their own rules. I told him that was fine and that I will never spend another dime in his store. They shamed me in front of everyone in that store harassing me all the way to the front door and I was in the back of the store in the beginning.
I am an HVAC in the company I work for I spend a lot of money at Menards and will no longer do that. I live right next-door and I do a lot of on home repairs but will never spend any more money there and I have spent a butt load of money in that store in the 10 years I've lived here.
This should be a massive lawsuit for harassing customers and shaming them over a mask that doesn't even work and it's proven.

Buyer Beware Update
December 27, 2022

Our kitchen countertop replacements are finally installed. All flawed countertops returned to Menards in West Bend WI.
Refund on our major credit card was not issued to the card we used. We we told the "only" refund we were going to receive was going on a Menards In The Store Credit! The mgrs. Explained that we did not return the flawed countertops within 90 days. Are you kidding me?
That was not our fault. Here's part of the explanation of the delays: the flawed countertop was reordered. That new countertop came in with the wrong end caps. The store had to reorder a corrected order. Another delay! Another delay in our install. And the pick up date for the flawed countertops was when the store had the availability to pick up the flawed countertops at our home, another delay. Plus out installer had his own schedule that was filled with other customers so we basically had to wait for an installation date. We had no control over keeping it all within 90 days! If we personally returned the flawed countertops then we would have had cabinets without countertops for who knows how long! So Buyer Beware! Menards will find a way to come out ahead. Sad as it sounds. You are "JUST" a customer and no more. No compensation for anything. And if you file a complaint, it's only handled through emails. Emails and more emails. No human contacts you. Your complaints just go in circles when you are trying to get this whole mess cleared up. The only follow up is through the store manager.
Mgr Shane. He is very nice. But he only could do so much for you. And that was hand us the in the Menards in the store credit! And we had to pay off our credit card on our own. This was 1 big $#*! show for sure!
