I bought a playset from the Menards in Chesterfield, Michigan. I got a wierd receipt and it said within 24hrs the shipping department would confirm. Well thay never happened so i e-mailed them several times with no response. So i called thought it was figured out. Then they day befote delivery they called me and told me they dont have it. She said it was a returned item that they don't carry and it was gone. First of all why would you sell a returned item online as new? Secondly if they would have done what i asked i would have saved time and money. So i got upset and they told me they could either "RIG" something up, or get a refund. When i asked for a diacount they said they would call back vut never did. They do not care about there customers at all. The people at Menards are all the people thay arent smart enough to work at Lowes or Home Depot. When they refunded me they also tried to not refund my shipping costs as well.
Lastly, Menards in Chesterfield, MI received a cease to desist order for price gouging during the pandemic.
Within the last 6 months I purchased a nice cushy thick expensive dog bed for my dog at Menards. I paid $50, probably a little bit more with tax. Yesterday I went to wash it for the third time, and the seams just disintegrated. I took it back to Menards figuring there would be no problem, it's still on their website and they still sell this product. I figured it'd be an easy exchange. The girls at the service desk looked at me like deers in the headlights, Somebody went and got this so-called manager Curtis. I told him what was going on, still not suspecting there would be any problem. Let me tell you this, I paid cash for the product as I am a bartender and pretty much operate on a cash basis, and didn't save my receipt because, well, it's a dog bed. It says the cover is washable and this was only the third time I have washed it. Well, Curtis got a little power crazy and started telling me without a receipt he couldn't do it. I said yes you can, this is your product. I washed it three times. Stand behind what you sell. He told me without a receipt he wouldn't do it. I said it's a freaking dog bed, I paid cash. I don't have a receipt. You still sell these here. He absolutely refused to make it right with me, started to get quite smart $#*!. When I told him I wanted to speak to him his manager he told me that John Menards was the only man above him. I told him I didn't buy it, he was the weekend daytime Regional whatever, he just kept repeating that John Menard was the only man above him. I know that he was lying because I asked a girl at the register and she said his boss's name was Kevin so not only did he refuse to make it right with me he flat-out lied to me. Like a big boss would be working on a Saturday afternoon. This little power crazy Nazi bastard just lost a customer, and I spend a lot of money. And yes, it's all cash! $#*! Menards!
It cheap, weiner cheap poopy weiner cheap all the real homies hate cheapo menards home depot $#*!s on menards
Anderson Indiana Menards Delivery Driver left two heavy loaded pallets (5,800lb on top of each other)on my new driveway without my concern. When I asked him to move it on the grass he broke my driveway by using hydraulic legs of his forklift. Menards Delivery Company proclaims that they have insurance but they did not want to use their insurance to fix my broke driveway. The owner told me that it was my responsibility due to I "signed" some tricky contract for delivery saying that "I Agreed that Menards Delivery driver can brake, damage and destroy your property". So, he advised me to use Epoxy glue to glue it.
When I contacted the Anderson (IN) Menards top managers Keith C and Josh B. They both very politely coldly pushed me as they could – "DO NOT CALL THEM anymore, their Menards delivery company did everything possible to help me". When I asked what was the help they told me that Delivery Company has insurance so call there, but both managers did not want listen me that the owner of the Menards Delivery Company refused to use their insurance indeed I submitted 2 Estimates for Property damage to him and I complied with all his policies. Also, both Menard managers told me that the Delivery Company employers do not belongs to Menards! But, it was you Menards store that hired that delivery company that broke my property?
Also, in short let me tell you about Menards Delivery Driver appearance the driver that broke my driveway looked like a vagrant: dirty used to be white no sleeve t-shirt, long dirty beard and cigarette in his mouth all the time.
I paid for that delivery $92 plus some stocking fees $4.50 and the distance from the Menards to my residence is 7 miles, and I ended up having new brooked driveway. Think twice before you shopping in Menards - They save your money.
Menards customer service isn't... it is indifferent\unresponsive, inept, unskilled or untrained, innocently or intentionally. I've searched the web and read other reviews of Menards which are unfavorable and now I can support and add my views & experience. Frankly, my voice will be merely one from the chorus BBB reviewed Menards and Menards earned and F' from BBB with this prevalent comment: The business responded to the dispute but failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it.
I'd summarize their service or lack thereof as "institutional indifference" combined with a lack of familiarity with products and service. Staff of Menards hardware, Hardware Associate Buyer, Menard, Inc. as well as Menards "guest services" is unwilling or unable to write a reply to written requests, form a response or simply acknowledge a written contact in a business-like fashion; i. E., indifference and simply unresponsiveness, either intentionally or innocently.
My dispute? Trying to get what I paid for, the product was shorted on contents, not all parts and pieces were included in my shelving unit. I started trying to get replacements 10 days ago but the supplier was and is the wrong supplier Menards referred me to and Menards has not answered me at all despite cc of 14 email exchanges with the supplier the wrong supplier and two hard copy letters to Eau Claire corporate offices.
"Save Big Money at Menards" is because they don't spend it on service representatives or customer service.
I'm a simple customer with a simple problem that Menards has botched so badly Menards picture should be next to the Urban Dictionary definition of FUBAR.
It's against your rights and won't wear stupid mask. Lost my business forever. Live in fear you sheeple.
Worst service ever from an employee rude crude acted like i was non existant where do they get these people
After waiting 6 mounths still no delivery went to differant store 2 hhr drive wrong colar no comp for incovenance
Horrid experience, Menards in Ballwin, MO. I Placed an order online in total close to $3000 the put it in 3 groups, after one week I received an email from the company letting me know that one of my 3 orders is ready to pick up, because I don't have a truck I called the store and asked him if it's ok to wait till all my orders are ready and available for picking them up at the same time, the representative over the phone said yes I can with no problem, the following week I decided to start my project early so I took one of my Friend his cargo Van and went to pick up my order, the person in online order pickup department said one of your item worth $700 was picked up 3 days ago and when I asked him who picked it up he couldn't give me a straight answer, can you imagine that? $700 item plus tax has been given to someone else!, so I wait more than 45 minutes to figure it out who picked up my item? They came back with "sorry sir we don't know where is your item that I paid for it", so I asked them if I can speak to the store manager, at this time I went to the Customer service desk and asked for the store manager then Mr. Hudson came and start apologizing and then I asked him to cancel my entire order with a full refund, he did except the item he said just give me few minutes to find out what happened with your order. After few minutes he came and issued me $700 refund when I asked him you guys owed me an explanation he started talking about mistake happens I told him I wait few weeks and you just telling me mistakes happen. I do appreciate him helping me out with my order cancellation but I decided no more Menards and share my experience with everyone.
No masks required in my state except at menards, I will now be shopping at Home Depot, they understand and follow CDC guidelines.
I wanted to write and thank Menards for the terrific deal I got on my patio door at Home Depot. Yep folks that is not a typo I did indeed type and mean Home Depot. You see I went to Menards over the weekend because I was interested in buying a new patio door. Menards could have received my $2700 purchase but they didn't. You see upon entering the store I was greeted at the door by an associate telling me that masks were mandatory. I could retrieve one from my car or they would be happy to sell me one at the desk.
Being a good red blooded american I exercised my freedom of choice and promptly left the store and went across the street to Home Depot. Not only did I find a door that met my needs but they were offering 15% off. Not the lame "We will give you 11% credit off your next purchase at menards" but an honest to goodness 15% off of my purchase. I got $500+ off of my $3000 dollar door bring it in at $2500... Add the tax and it is $2700 What a Deal.
Thank you Menards... if you wouldn't have had that bogus policy I probably would have purchased something from you and got a far worse deal.
This isn't my first encounter with Menards. As a general rule of thumb I only shop there as a last resort. My original run in with there customer service department was when they refused to refund me for a $3.14 cent 2x4 after just making a $10,000 purchase of lumber. They said it had already been returned. How I don't know because I had the receipt in hand and this was the first time I had been there since making the purchase to return anything. And if you wish to file a complaint there is no web based complaint division or anything. You download a form and hand fill it in and mail it to Menards at WeReallyDon'tCare Street. Somewhere in the US.
I remodeled my house and spent thousands of dollars at home improvement stores and honestly you cannot beat the service of your local Lowes or Home Depot. You may pay a little more but you get people that are helpful and stand behind their product,
At the height of COVID19 Dec/-21 we purchased a RUVATI V6100 sink for the laundry room. Wife wanted quality steel & deep sink. E were assured 90 days for returns/exchanges no questions asked. We also received copy of return policy w invoice
Package was delivered to a wrong house down the street, when neighbors returned from holiday they dropped off the box end of December. We stored the box in a safe place while construction was under going. Under the circumstances connection was delayed by 2 months. Then we opened the v6100 box 2 1/2 months later to begin installation Opps discovered the sink had damaged borders & one side was curved. Being this was under mount the borders work not affect much however curved side is a show stopper.
Contacted Bernards customer service for a quick replacement. This it's when the excuses hidden term's began to show up. Basically the return policy was a farce null & void. According to Bernard defects must need reported with 3! Days of b receipt. This is never stated anywhere. Also the only refund available is to a Bernard store credit less shipping & restocking of 20%
THIS COMPANY IS AS USEFUL AS tits ON A BULL or the liberal DNC
They will & DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS
Home Depot Lowe's and
Amazon will pulverize them
I will never but a single item from this horrible company they don't care about customer satisfaction or retaining customers
Got turned away, they require masks even if you got both covid shots. Lowes is better. Oh well bye
Went to Menards in Independence, Mo. This morning (05/02/2030) to buy 2 pieces of siding. Their website said they had 27 pieces in stock. Went to the desk and ordered the 2 pieces that I needed and then proceeded to the checkout line. Waited in line for a little bit and got my business done.
I went to my truck and drove into the lumber yard. Found where the siding is and find out there is none. I then had to find an employee to help me. Well, he tried but no luck after about 15 minutes.
So I had to drive back around to the front of the store go inside and get a refund. What a waste of my time!
The employee that tried to help me in the yard said that the Belton, Mo. Store had 19 pieces. Great! (This is the closest store to the Independence, Mo. Store. 18 miles away.) On the way to the next store I decided I should call to make sure they had the siding in stock. Yes they said. 19 pieces. I'm on my way.
Arrived at the Belton, Mo. Store, went in side and ordered my 2 pieces. They told me again that they did have it. Went and stood in line again to pay for my order.
Drove around the back to the yard and found the siding. Guess what! There was one piece and it was in bad shape. I'm starting to get upset. Tracked down another employee to help me. For 20 minutes he tried only to find out that 1 piece is all they had. Now I'm really upset.
Drove around to the front of the building to go inside and get a refund. They didn't believe they were out and wouldn't refund my money until it was confirmed. Another 15 minutes. Really!
Finally get my refund and leave very unhappy. I can't believe that Menards doesn't know what they have in their yard. Is it really that difficult to know your inventory? Maybe Menards should pay better attention to their inventory so their customers aren't getting the run around and wasting valuable time. By the time I got to the job site it has been 2 1/2 hours of my time wasted. Told my customer what I went through and had to show them the refund receipts to back my story. My customer is now unhappy. Great! Thank you for that Menards. I have the old siding off the house and I'm trying to figure out what to do.to get my customers house closed up. Go to Home Depot 2 buy 2 pieces of plywood for a temporary fix. Not sure what to do now. The other home improvement stores don't carry the siding that I need. This has been a very bad experience. It has costed me almost $300 and a whole day wasted. Maybe even a customer.
I asked for a gift card or something at the Belton Mo. Store to help make up for this hassle only to be told they can't do that. Menards lost a customer today. I will not shop at Menards anymore.
Menards has handle 2 problems for me after the manufacture's warranty had ran out.
The employees have no working knowledge of the products they're selling they're not motivated to help the customers and they have a generally poor attitude. I asked no less than nine times where a product was you told me the wrong location every time they all refused to show me where the product was I had rather set my hair on fire mail one foot to the floor and run around and small circles then ever visit a Menards store again
Answer: Was hoping for the simple convenience of online ordering and getting it shipped to my house. I was wrong, the amount of time I've had to put into trying to resolve my shipping issues has been awful. Been a month since I started asking Menards for help with the issues. Still no response.
Answer: Exactly! Menards sucks never have any problem with returns to Lowes will not buy sh#t from Menards anymore!
Answer: Nope, always have issues with them. You're far better off going to one of the other Hardware stores.
Answer: Nearly impossible. No customer service phone #'s provided by Menards. Have been waiting over a month for a response to my request and issues. Have also requested updates multiple times within that month with absolutely no response. Hopefully this is only because of Covid-19 but I from what I've heard the Customer Service is always almost unreachable
Menards has a rating of 1.2 stars from 348 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Menards most frequently mention customer service, home depot and store credit. Menards ranks 87th among Department Store sites.
