I'm a mother of 5 and I have a housing assistance voucher for a 4 bedroom. This company purposely held my voucher for an extreme length of time TWICE. For two differnt house so I can be beat by cash renter's. I applied for a home on Jan 4,2023 and on Jan 6,2023 my credit and background check was approved and ALL needed documents were sent via email along with uploading them to the website. They confirmed that they did not need ANY other documents since Jan 6,2023. On Jan 24,2023 almost 3 weeks later the home was purchased by a cash renter. My voucher was NEVER filled out nor sent to clearwater housing authority for an inspection which they admitted that the delay was their fault BOTH times. They are purposely and openly discriminating against low income single families. This is a shameful, deceiving, untrustworthy company
Well i don't even know where to start. But I will say Katie Becker worked my case and she was great she was prompt getting me call backs or returning my many emails.I worked with some other agents before Katie and I was a little nervous but she did a wonderful job!

I have completed the application process, no communication still for a few weeks for the next step. The home I filled out for the security box was incorrect so could not self tour. Reported the issue and few weeks later still has the same issue for the property. Contacted the company a couple times get told the same thing will be updated in your email. I have reached out by phone and email still no response no communication. Paid for the application and just left in the dark with no results. This should be reasonable for a refund as customers need to go elsewhere due to the company horrible process and no communication. Everywhere there is an application fee.
Me and My husband was denied and haven't receive that denial letter from them yet, but everytime I call they can't give the reason why we was denied and its been over a month now since they told us that they had mailed the letter.

Renting and moving is always something people dread doing. Because the process is never easy, leaving your home and starting fresh comes with a lot of tasks, and issues in itself. This company and their staff have been nothing short of accommodating and resourceful. I've been able to reach my agent via text, phone, and email daily and received immediate response and solutions. Access to the home has been granted to us to view the property more then once, as well as to let in utilities. Which has helped tremendously. My Agents name is Rylei. We haven't even moved in yet, the AC doesn't work, its 110 outside, a $#_&^"%= roach in the cupboard, 3 gates all broken, they DID NOT inspect the property first, back patio full of spiderweb and bugs, toilet broken, blinds broken, and their website sucks. This socalled mgmt company is an epic fail. Dont rent from these disorganized people. I can't wait to gtf out.

We placed an application for rental at ******* Sheridan Dr in Hudson Florida based on the pics and what we saw from and outside visit of the property. (That was a mistake) we got approved and I decided to visit the place for a tour. The place had huge roaches in a bedroom, a dirty stove and a huge hole in the garage ceiling. There were visible water damage around the garage door mechanism. Also, a smell of animal activity in the whole area. I called this people from Main Street and they say holes in the ceiling are something cosmetic and they don't repair anything cosmetic and they wouldn't refund my money either. This is a huge eye opener with this company and the way they deal and definitely is not a good place to get into business with and place the safety of your family and belongings into their homes. This house is not moving ready!

This was by far the worse experience I have ever had and it's seems they don't even care to fix where they messed up. They hung up on me numerous of times I really liked there homes and did all I was supposed to as far as staying and being in touch however the process to speak to some1 that is helpful other then people taking notes is horrible I spent thousand of dollars to try and get things complete and gotten no where. Granted I have voucher rta packet and security deposit but how would they know also they canceled my application but had already gave me a date it would be closed so why was it interfered with in the first place

Terrible company to rent from. They charged us for a problem that already existed on the property. I have pictures of the problem before we moved in. They never sent us a notice or anything. Just a $150 charge to our rent
We've only been in a rental with this company for 6 weeks. It has been a fight every step of the way. From their inefficent structure for applications, to their inability to submit work orders in a timely fashion, to getting emergency maintenance requests reviewed and scheduled in a timely manner. We live in Florida, it's July and our AC isn't working. I have made multiple maintenance requests, called the phone numbers to only be disconnected time and again, tried to leave my phone number for a call back only to never be called back, sent emails to the Resident "Care" Team, DMed them on Facebook and Instagram... everything except smoke signals or carrier pigeons, though that isn't far off. If my children, my husband or myself are afflicted with heat stroke, heat exhaustion or worse, they are the responsible party and will be held accountable.

Terrible service, basement flooded, roof leaked, mold, fence broken, took 4 months to "fix" flooded basement and now it's flooded again, no accountability, no one is responsible for anything, worst maintenance dept ever, scheduled with vendors that aren't even in our state; wasted so much of our time calling, texting,emailing,waiting for noone to show up to service appts, do not rent from them they are terrible!

Just a word of caution, if you will, to avoid renting from Mainstreet Renewal. In the two years we rented a home from MSR, we were without AC upstairs in the bedrooms for a total of 2 months (including immediately upon moving in) before they finally replaced the unit, the heating unit was out of service for 3 weeks in the downstairs, the master shower leaked into the dining room 3 different times, the dishwasher stopped working and was not replaced for 6 weeks. The railing on the front porch was rotten, but they just painted over it then had the audacity to charge US out of the security deposit. Also, be forewarned that if you plan on renewing the lease, they attempt to raise your rent by exorbitant amounts,,,do not agree! Counter their "offer". They are inept and corrupt, imho.
Do not rent from this company, ever! They are the worst! So far I have been without properly working toilets for 12 days. I have been scheduled for maintenance and no one shows up, no one calls, and no one responds. You can not get anyone to help you. I have sent numerous emails to numerous different individuals and not one employee cares or is helpful - at all! And this is just one of the issues I have had with this company. I cannot wait for this lease to end so I NEVER have to deal with the horrible company again. They fail on every level! There are not strong enough words for me to express how awful and stressful it is to have my well-being controlled by this company. Don't do it - for your sake!

I have been transferred from New Jersey to Florida as I am essential worker. I tried this company to find a suitable home for me and my three kids in such a short notice. They have been unhelpful with the application. They stated that my income was not enough and I had to get a guarantor. I put two guarantors and their combined income is over $250,000 and even then they said they were not qualified to be guarantors. I have sent over 10 emails requesting assistance with the application with no answer. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and I was told that in order to speak with someone I had to wait 48 hours for a return call back! Unacceptable as I have to have secured home by next Friday, June 26th. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that the 24 to 48 hours apply as well. This company is unworthy to be working at all. They take advantage of people who are in need of a secure home. I will not recommend this company if my life depended on it.
This company allows tenants to shoot pistols and large rifles, from the driveway and back deck in a subdivision. Many reports to the company with police records on file. House was listed as quiet area on the company site. Well, not anymore! Cars running up and down the road multiple times from this house, along with gun shots that make you duck for cover. No wonder they aren't part of the BBB. If you see this or a new home for you signs... gather your neighbors and be aware. Main Street Renewal does NOTHING for the safety of neighbors they move their tenants into.
I am filling a class action lawsuit against this company, if anyone wants to fight to receive there money back from the bogus application process to actually renting from them please contact me *******@gmail.com this is a horrible company please read reviews before you even fill out a application these reviews are not lien! How can you have so many people say the same thing. Then when you try and communicate with them they don't anwser.

Their "maintenance" department is non-responsive and does nothing to resolve any real issues that may arise. I have lived in my home for almost a year now. In that time, I was without hot water (water heater broken), and flooding my garage for over 6 weeks. There was also issues with the well pouring out orange and sand filled water through my pipes, this took over a month to resolve. Now my AC has been out for days and their maintenance department has yet to send a vendor to investigate or resolve. I have explained that I have 2 small children living in the home, and that the temperature reached 96 degrees, and they still have failed to send anyone to look at it. When calling their maintenance department, I have requested to speak with a supervisor and have been outright denied, and disconnected while being placed on long holds. They fail to provide a home that is in livable condition, and they do not care.

Answer: Don't bother... waste of money for an overpriced house. Their customer service is terrible. They give you the run around and the techs they send out are not certified. Look like people the just find off the street and hire for a repair to do. My husband and I are currently looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We've only been renting from them for 4 months and have had SOOO many problems with this house. Look else where.
