I just love myhabit Events! This site, with its deep discounts on luxury goods is truly my Favorite new find and I just can't keep checking out out every single day! You are going to go bananas when you see what they have and love it if you are an Amazon Prime customer and you can get in to the sale 30 minutes earlier than everyone else!
Something is fishy about this site. No sooner did I order a handbag at original (not inexpensive)discount price (arrived in inadequate packing, luckily no significant damage), then suddenly one left selling for $40 less... unsatisfactory response by customer service. Then I was considering another handbag purchase, price unchanging over many days. I noticed the number of items for that brand was constantly changing and one colour of the style I had in mind was sold out yesterday? But available today? My colour choice went to "one left", selling without price modification... just as well. According to many reviews, who knows what the quality might have been of this supposed expensive bag?!
If I could put 4.5 stars, this would be my score. The customer shopping experience on the site is great, which is not a surprise, as it is powered by the industry-best Amazon. They often have very good deals on some sweet brands. Their customer service was very responsive. In my last order they shipped me wrong size shoes ( 3 instead of 8, yeah), and because it was a no return item, refunded me without the need to ship it back (I just donated it). Of course, as usually happens in these cases, the size I wanted was sold out. Knocking off the 1/2 star due to their new shipping/return charges. I understand why they needed them, but I loved my free shipping on all orders. May be they can expand perks to Amazon Prime member.
I've ordered a few different things within 6 months (tie & cufflinks, a ladies suit, men's shoes, women's shoes and a huge children's train set) from MyHabit and I haven't had any problems at all. The shipping to Australia is very cheap ($15) and everything arrives quite fast! However, I always order knowing that I probably can't return things given that international returns are too expensive.
First off, for us people that reside on the east coast, the sales don't go on line until 12 noon, when most of us are at work. When I have managed, after great effort to buy a number of things, mostly women's handbags, it was very rushed. If you don't jump on your item quickly, they sell out. Usually with in first 2 hours of sale. The most disappointing thing is, the quality of merchandise! Not what I expected, even from the somewhat vague descriptions item. I have returned more items than I have kept. The most insulting part of the whole transaction is you don't get your money back, they only give you an amazon gift card good for future purchases, I'm afraid I won't be doing much purchasing from this site in the future. It's to bad, the basic philosophy of site is great but in practice is disappointing.
This is a site that emails you everyday *except*, apparently, when they change their policy. Was a fantastic site before they suddenly started charging for return shipping. I would have been more understanding of the change, if they had bothered to tell me about it. They probably feel they're big enough to not sweat losing customers at this point.
So, TN convinced me to take a chance and I impulse bought 3 pairs of shoes that were not the correct size (but based on product reviews, apparently manufacturing discrepancies were in my favour). One thing that I noticed was that one of the boxes was damaged on the side and taped over, but that caused one of the shoe boxes to get extremely warped. Not a big deal since nothing was damaged, but they might want to look into sturdier packaging...
Returning the two that didn't fit was easy with pre-paid shipping labels, and the free shipping both ways is definitely a plus. The best thing is that although they can't refund you, a gift card usable on amazon.com, endless.com or myhabit.com is definitely useful so it's not like you're stuck with $x and have to find things to buy on other sample sites (one of the reasons I took a chance). They issued the credit very quickly too after receiving the item.
I have ordered several times from the website. Twice I placed items in my cart and checked out only to discover the size had been changed. When I contacted customer service they only said sorry and I didn't get any of the items I wanted! I've also received the wrong items a couple of times. You would think a large company like Amazon could do better. The Amazon website gives good customer service, very disappointed in "My Habit"
I am very pleased with my purchases from MYHabit. The quality of the merchandise is excellent as are the prices for designer goods. I find myself frequently shopping on the site. The shipping is fast and reasonable in cost. I just love shopping on the site. I also like the wish list for items that I want but are sold out. I have been able to acquire many items desired when they are located and returned to the site. A notice is also emailed and texted about the availability of these items.
Another one of those designer sale websites, but this time from Amazon. Because it is run by Amazon, the customer service is amazing. You can return most things (even a 1K wedding dress) for a flat rate of about $4. Shipping to you is free. They also refund you back to your credit card (Gilt only gives you credit back). Finally, I have noticed that their sales tend to run slightly cheaper than other sites, like Gilt (for the same exact items).
One last thing. Gilt has created these fake designer brands to make you think that you are getting huge savings, but you can't really compare because they don't exist outside of Gilt. I have never seen myhabit pull that kind of stunt.
You get 5 stars!
I never do reviews but just had to. Now honestly I have gotten some very nice things from Myhabit. And I am a HUGE Amazon fan. But let me tell you Buyer Beware! I purchased a Gucci purse from them for $1,600. A few weeks later I was at the Gucci outlet and the same 100% exact purse was on sale for $250.
Just today I saw the exact same pair of Bally shoes I had purchased last month from them. Today on their site they were $40 cheaper. I called and asked them to refund the difference and was told absolutely not because it had been one month and five days.
I have deleted their app from all of my devices and will not shop their again.
This is my favorite FLASH SALE sites. Flash sale... its purpose is to sell off low inventory items at a discounted price. If you act fast, you can score some great items. The only gripe; the shipping department needs to learn how to pack fragile home goods.
Love it. Great sample sale site along the lines of Gilt and Hautelook. But the ease of Amazon ordering makes it even cooler. You have to move fast but this is true of most of these typea of sites. FIRST RATE! You can't have too many of these. I have had no trouble with shipping or products bought off the site. I feel like people posting bad reviews about sold out items or wait list items just don't know how these sites work.
I am very disappointed how they handled my request to return the item that didn't fit. I never wore it, still with a tag on, and the representative just told me, "Oh you should give to someone as a gift." Seriously?
They give you only 14 days window to return the item, terrible!
Nordstrom lets you return the item any time as long it's not damaged and you have a receipt!
Not impressed at all. I have been using Gilt and this just seems like amazon trying to do the same thing. Do we really need another big company like amazon who knows nothing of fashion or style trying to get rid of Companies like Gilt that made their name because of their fashion expertise? I hope myhabit fails and Gilt wins this war.
Gilt has been one of my new favorite sites for awhile now. They do have their issues with returns as all you get is store credit. Amazon just seems to be copying Gilt with their new website myhabit.com which I read about in the Times here
http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/05/03/amazon-enters-the-flash-sale-fray-with-myhabit/
The only real difference is the return policy. Since myhabit.com is just amazon, when you return something if you do not like it you get Amazon store credit. To me that is far more valuable than Gilt just giving me Gilt store credit. I can buy pretty much anything I need on amazon and so will feel much better making my purchases.
I got a wrist watch for someone and it came with no dial control. The Habit customer service wanted me to contact the manufacturer, I did. The manufacturer charged a 15 dollars money order with the wristwatch sent to them to review "the problem" They also wanted $18 dollars for repairs. I paid about $80 dollars for the watch when it was purchased! My several efforts to get the so-called amazon company to respond met "we are not able to do anything"
My conclusion is that if you want a bad, defective, substandard product sold to you under false labeling, buy Amazon or The Habit! Shame on you for your incredibly poor customer service!
I'm a big fan of MyHabit. I love the fact that shipping is free, and I love that i can use Amazon gift cards there. Everything I've ordered fits as it should, which is nice. I've not had to return anything yet, so i can't speak on their return policy. But their shipping is free and stuff usually gets to you really fast, unlike other daily deal sites. I'd definitely reccomend MyHabit if you're a fan of designer stuff and like the idea of saving money.
I purchased twice from Myhabit. I have to admit they deliver very fast. The fist purchase was a facial cream that turned to be good. That is why I gave two stars, not one. The second purchase was a pair of Luxury Rebel leather booties. The website said they were true to size so I ordered 81/2. When they arrived I was shocked. First, it was size 8 not 81/2. Second, they wouldn't fit even my hand. They looked like a pair for a baby girl size 81/2. I know that sometimes designer shoes are smaller than they are marked but why to say that they are "true to size"? Another issue was that the upper "suede" part was totally man-made.
I didn't have a problem to print out the return shipping label. Will ship it with UPS tomorrow so I would have a tracking number and will see from there. I definitely will use the account credit on Amazon, not Myhabit.
I have used this site numerous times - you have to do your homework to see if the prices are good. Usually they are very good and shipping is fast! You also have to log in early, especially if you are of a common size. I really do think that shoes are factory seconds as I have had issues with them, and I may stop getting shoes from them. But overall I love them. Refunding was a breeze when I received a slightly defective chair, even though it was not refundable. Myhabit refunded the full price and had me keep the chair!
You'd think an Amazon offspring would have (at least) decent customer service –– well, you'd be WRONG. I'm a frequent online shopper, and this is hands-down the worst customer service experience I've had in years. I received something from this site as a gift and, despite their site claiming to allow gift returns, I was told I could not even receive credit for item purchased through them. I can say with 100% confidence that I will never shop with MYHABIT in the future given their rude, unhelpful response to this situation. Here's hoping they shape up before becoming a casualty like so many other sites who have thrown their hats into the overcrowded private/flash sale ring. Regardless, I'll be saving my money and looking on comfortably as a bystander.
I have ordered a few items from them and they all were great. I have to say that one time they sent the wrong item, but when I contacted customer service, the gave me a refund and discount on further orders, and were very professional and nice. I will order from them again, because they have great discounts and actually have the things in their warehouse and you get it within 4 days.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to buy anything from this site... everything (for kids) is instantly gone. I go on the site at 9am PST each day. It is very frustrating to say the least! They must only have 10 of each item... what a waste of time!
I purchased my very first item and couldn't wait to get my Chi Rocket Blow Dryer. Only to be extremely disappointed that my $300.00 blow dryer didn't heat up, it was defective. I just wanted another one but was told by the customer service chat line that electronics cannot be exchanged! I had no other choice but to have my credit card refunded. I wanted to chat again and ask why I had to pay the shipping charge to return it but was not allowed to chat, e-mail or do anything else regarding customer service and this blow dryer. Wow! Access Hollywood... quit advertising them for "great deals" they are a headache and customer service doesn't exist. I might decide to quite watching Access Hollywood until myhabit.com decides to service their customers.
Tip for consumers:
Watch what you buy, I suggest to just stay away. Returns are a hassle and cannot exchange any electronics if yours is defective. Then they charge you to return a defective item! Really? Stay AWAY.
Good enough to buy from with a fast and free shipping.
I've had problem with my purchase once (I've received the used dress), but a customer service have solved this problem.
I keep buying from this site.
They have no customer service. It is nearly impossible to find a phone number, and they claim they do not have incoming customer service email addresses. Instead, one must go through a maze of online FAQ's to finally send a form. No ability to upload anything.
Don't believe them if they say they will call you back.
I ordered all my holiday gifts from myhabit.com. Many arrived broken and nearly all were mislabeled. I had to unwrap the items to determine what was what. After paying $5 per gift wrap this was an extreme inconvenience.
Still battling to get refunds.
I have gotten a couple of nice items on my habit.com, I will admit. But it has become obvious lately that they are allowing some people to access the sales earlier than the supposed start at 9am. When I log on exactly at 9, in many cases already half of the items say 'sold out'. It takes longer than a few seconds to complete the purchase process, so people must be getting on there earlier. When I ask customer service about this, I only get a form letter in response, saying they are sorry I couldn't buy what I want. How condescending and annoying.
