I was very happy to find a half brother as well as many other relatives. However the ethnicity estimate I believe misses out on accurately showing my actual heritage.Also where it shows third and fourth cousins I believe they are actually 7th cousins or less.On the whole I think My Heritage is great even with the flaws I mentioned.

I would get a response within a couple of hours and he even checked in on me daily to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction. Nir was knowledgeable and more importantly kind. I have been a My Heritage user for some years now, and I find it very easy to use and very interesting to find out all about our ancestors.
Easy to use they keep in touch with you and you can check how far they have got with your DNA sample.
I'd like to have my and my husband's trees and accounts accessible in one place. I'm trying to do that but need help, which is available. I just need to do it. Otherwise, I'm mostly happy with MyHeritage.

When my mum died 5 years ago I realised I knew very little about my family. I began using my heritage to see what I could find out and became totally emersed in researching my family. I found I had a great uncle who was seriously wounded in WWI and died from his injuries here in England but the most unbelievable thing was he is buried in a cemetery less than a mile from where I live. Once you start you can't stop and I am looking forward to what I can find next. Thank you my heritage.

The information and research included in the site is incredible, I am so glad I took the plunge, as it happened I only needed it for some information to put in a visa application for a trip to India.
However, I have since looked in more detail and have been happy with the in depth results.
I would highly recommend it 5o anyone….you won't be disappointed.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).
