Overall a very good experience. Great features and ease of use. Better than other genealogy sites. Love DNA features. However, research records for certain countries are very limited (Ex: Spain, France)
At first I only had a tiny branch and now it's grown into a forest of very diverse sections of my ancestors. Once you begin it can be tiring, but soon becomes so fascinating you just have to squeeze another extra hour. Your history becomes linked and with careful investigation the marvel of research is pure delight especially when you discover subjects that are emotional, powerful, unknown and sometimes sad. I am so glad I decided to fire up my retirement.
I am most appreciative of this resource! It has been an exciting journey making discoveries of family, both mine and my husband's. It is wonderful to share with our children so they may know where they come from. The website is incredibly easy to navigate.
It has been a great program with competitive pricing. I have been with My Heratige for over 7 years and it improves constantly. New features that gives more information, let's you repair photos and keeps things organized with a little effort from the user. The consistency feature is extremely helpful in bringing your attention to dates, names, grammar and spelling.
I think it's a test everyone should take and see that we are not just from one nation and it was really nice to email with someone that we didn't now we were relatives just moments ago.
I had so much fun along my husband's DNA journey that I opted for the complete package. AI videos are a great addition and I learned everything plus more that was know within our family circles. Having tombston location markers makes it great for a future bucket list visit.
When adding photos or new information on my family tree, Then someone adding it to their tree, I will always get a message a few days later saying we have discovered new information and it's what I have added firstly. MyHeritage should be able to know who added the information and not send any new discovery's.
I do find that the majority of functions on MyHeritage are logical and easy to use, particularly when compared with other sites. This is important when building your tree and ensuring the information is easy to store easily and appropriately, and then to subsequently find and access. Then it is important that a site has the data to help you find and define one's ancestors and in the main, MyHeritage has a wealth of information which is again, easy to access. Overall my experience has been very good - I'm yet to really get value out of going down the DNA route, but I need to read and understand some of the information provided on the site to go deeper into this.
It is easy and very though when they find relative. It is easy to look into it. You get to take your time to look at it. And after you can decide to add it to you tree. It not just information about your relatives there is picture of them. There even coats of arms of the family also there's their grave marker. I am very satisfied with it.
I found MyHeritage to be an excellent service for anyone building a family tree, the site is brilliant and the staff can, t do enough to help if a problem comes up. I think the whole service is brilliant.
"I uncovered my roots, found my family, and now I'm writing my own chapter. My journey with My Heritage: connection, surprises, and a legacy in constant evolution.
If you love history, you are keen to discover yourself and learn how complex and interesting ones heritage can be, this is for you.
But be careful, this can be a very addictive experience!
The information research they provide is so easy to follow. I have built my tree all the way back to the 1500's. The sources and the information provided are accurate and detailed. I love the ability to make charts and books to share with my family
This is a good place to collect data about your relatives. The possibility of exchanging data between members of the portal is also useful, but you have to be very careful about the quality (truth) of the data published.
More and more information keeps appearing and keeps me busy researching for more relatives and stories. Enjoy my subscription and treasure my ancestor stories.
I am constantly getting from My Heritage information about my family and am amzed at how useful it is.
When I have had problems the help I got from the support team was most helpful and was given over a period with patience and goodwill.
I appreciate your continuous support during developing family trees. It is difficult to find all answers we are looking for even if our ancestors left us their multiple notes and memories. Wars and displacement of our ancestors were main reason we are now looking for them all around the world. Unfortunately, they made mistakes naming the same names in families/ villages. Particularly Metryki-Wolyn. Pl can bring wrong info. The same names+surnames (but different families) are common around 100kg region and causing frustration/disputes. It is causing problem when others are copying the tree when this tree is still in "development". My suggestions: contact each other more often and relay on written record of our ancestors. In summary: the tree we make it should be always checked again for correctness and your help is necessary.
Things are fine once you understand how to input your family data and build your tree, the search facilities are very good. Also the the photo handling section is brilliant. If you are serious about searching and buildingg your tree, then this is definitely value for money
I like the fact that you are getting more and more European records on MyHeritage, it makes it ever more useful for me in my family history research. I recently got a very close match for one of the DNA kits I look after and it was great to correspond with the new family member this way,.
I've been surprisingly pleased with my family tree expansions based on smart matches to be able to expand my greater family with relatives I have not even been aware of before. Also the offers I have received have been very welcome as otherwise as a retired person I would have not been able to continue with your service. Many thanks

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
