Ordered a voltage regulator from Napa website. The regulator was bad. I advised that I wanted to return the part for a refund. They told me to take a pic of it and send it to them in a email. I did so. Next day I get a email stating my return authorization has been canceled. So I call them back and ask why. They said it was because I "attached" the picture instead of just having it in the body of the email. They never told me not to send the pic as a attachment. So they re-opened my return request again and i sent the pic as they wanted me to. Next day I get a shipping label and i send it back. 4 days later they received the part, as per tracking number. I wait till following week to call and verify they got the part and when can i expect refund. It was mon. And they told me by Fri, of this week I will have my refund back on my credit card. OK, so Fri. Comes and goes and still not credit do I see. So i call them again, they say give it a few more days because they have to hear back from the front office. So I wait another 4 days and nothing. At this point I call my credit card company and tell them napa has the part, but they are not refunding my money. My credit card company opened a case on Napa. 2 days later I "magically" receive a email from napa saying my refund has been approved and is on it's way. So, I had to play hardball with them to get my refund back. Overall it took 2 1/2 weeks AFTER they had the defective part in their hands to refund my money. Not acceptable. Let me add, after all this, i went to a napa store in person and purchased another voltage regulator so that it would be easier to return in case it did not work. I installed it and it does not work either. So 2 bad parts from napa. I than ordered one from amazon and it works great. So, between Napa's low quality parts and their send in return policy for parts ordered online, NAPA is not a good place to deal with anymore. Buyer beware
Parts are just ok but you will pay top dollar. They are very expensive. Beware that online Napa prices are cheaper than stores but still expensive.
NAPA customer service is horrible. 5 people in line and 2 of the 3 workers sitting on their asses in the back. Cockrell Hill store in Dallas.
Worst company charges for a replacement for a mistake they made. Never will i buy from this company again.
I was informed that they don't scan for codes anymore. Gee, I guess I won't buy what I need there anymore.
Employee has a bad morning takes it out on customer. Customer calls him out on it and customer becomes the bad guy. Bad customer
Napa back here in Mattoon than you for returning. The employees are super helpful &kind. Military Discount

I have been a
Mechanic for many years. I used to buy Napa Auto Parts almost always.
I felt the parts were good quality, although more expensive than
Others. It does not pay to install poor quality parts on a car, they
Come back, and bite you! Unfortunately, a few years ago it
Seems Napa changed their policy on quality. This happened around the
Time they totally changed the on-line site. Around the same
Time, I started looking at Rock Auto on-line. Rock Auto offers each
Part by a few different manufacturers, quality levels, and prices. I
Started noticing that despite Napa still charging higher prices, they
Were now supplying the cheapest, lowest quality parts instead of the
Better quality they were known for. Given that, why would a
Person order from Napa, when Rock Auto is surprisingly lower priced,
And you have a quality level choice. Napa seems to be riding on
Their previous well known name, while keeping the prices artificially
High.
Some prime examples of this is, I purchased a starter
Solenoid, (eckland, Napa's electrical brand), as a preventative
Measure. The third start-up, after installing, the solenoid froze in
The on position, with key off, and kept the starter spinning and
Engaged until I could unhook one battery terminal. Burned up the
Relay, starter, and a couple wires. I purchased a rebuilt
Alternator, took it from the box, and turned it, it felt rough
Turning, as if there was dirt in the bearing race or defective
Bearing components. I purchased Napa's best fuel pump, and it was
Very noisy from day one. I purchased a set of Napa Branded, 2 ton
Each, jack stands. One of them had a defective casting that would not
Allow the stop to lock in place. Although it seemed it locked, when
Weight was applied, it fell. I purchased rebuilt Ford Front
Calipers from Napa, and with in one year, the unplated soft steel
Bleeder screws has rusted solid to the caliper! I heard from a NAPA
Rep, and he said due to competition, quality had to suffer, BUT WAIT,
Isn't quality the whole point. Especialy when still charging the
Higher quality prices.
NAPA ripped me off when I placed an online order! Their website displayed a product for the price of $416.99, yet IMMEDIATELY upon placing the order they jacked the price up to $455.99. I talked to a representative who said I could cancel the order but it would take several days to have the money credited back to my bank account. Funny, they took the money immediately just as they jacked up the price!
I had to have the parts to put my truck back together and then had no other funds to do so because NAPA had ripped me off. I was basically forced to accept their theft or be without a vehicle for many days. When I received the parts, they were missing components that were specifically documented as part of the kit! I therefore had no choice but to borrow funds to purchase those missing items.
I wrote several emails to their Customer Care Department and they completely ignored me. They sent me ONE pathetic email wanting me to write them a detailed explanation of my experience and provide screenshots…WHICH I DID! I spent hours dealing with this, lost pay from work because the delivery was a day late, and received ZERO further response from NAPA! They have totally disregarded my situation and complaint. Furthermore, they refuse to compensate me for any time and money that they have caused me to lose, actually, that they have stolen from me.
I have a very detailed narrative with numerous screenshots of the entire sequence of events for anyone that is interested in seeing their deception. I will NEVER buy another item from NAPA…EVER, and will tell every person I know about this. NAPA IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and this was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
I have provided a mere sample of screenshots documenting NAPAs shenanigans. Trust me folks, stay away from this company, they jack up their already inflated prices.
I purchased front and rear brake pads and rotors for my wife's Subaru Impreza with NAPAOnline - the web site "confirmed" these were the correct parts for her car and stated the parts would be available for pickup in 30 minutes. Many hours later that afternoon I arrived at the store to pickup the part, but they still hadn't even pulled the parts! After waiting a long time and since I was the only customer in the store I asked the guy at the counter to verify that the parts were correct. He said the rear set was correct (he was wrong, they absolutely did NOT fit). He also said the front rotors I'd purchased were not correct (even though NAPA ONLINE showed they fit my car). The guy told me their part numbers are OFTEN INCORRECT so he really DIDN'T KNOW WHICH SET OF ROTORS FIT MY CAR! I got both sets of front rotors along with the rear and said I'd return the set that didn't fit.
However, when I went to install the rotors, the rear set were much larger than the stock (in fact even larger than the front rotors) and were very obviously not the correct part! The front rotors NAPAONLINE showed fit the car were ALSO NOT correct! So both sets of rotors I purchased online were INCORRECT - even though the guy in the store confirmed the rear set was correct! NAPA Simply has no idea what the correct parts are!
The brake pads did fit, however even though these are "premium" brake pads, the backing plates were MUCH SMALLER than stock and didn't even fully cover where the calipers contact the back of the pads! SO CHEAP! I didn't have time to find other pads so I just installed them with the old backing plates and returned both sets of incorrect rotors!
NAPA HAS NO IDEA WHAT PARTS FIT MY CAR! I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP NAPA AGAIN!
I go to the morena store often. Typically unfriendly brunette female, this time totally rude!
Answer: A very legit company that has for decades treated me very well.
Answer: Fuel pump for classic roadrunner didn't last 50 miles. I suppose 'success' is lucky i didn't eat a $100 wrecker fee. It never started cold without primer until i replaced the new NAPA fuel pump with another new NAPA fuel pump. At least it starts easy now when cold. After doing job twice. The chevy truck has been yard art for two years, as i don't really have time to do every job repeatedly. The store has the used broken part they charger me $300plus for. This isn't a success story, it's a story of failure, no honor or honesty in store, and non-existent quality control.
Answer: I thought they were a reputable business but I was wrong they are crooks and don't honor their warranty's.
